Sweet tones, great playing as always.
Jawdrapping amazing guitar playing. Sunshine in the intro, deep rain in the outro.
Pete your playing is just to much 🔥🔥🔥
Top notch intro, man... And, overall, a great video. The pedal goes great with the victory.
Speaking of which, would love to see you use the SL more.
Thanks for sharing, Pete.
Great thing about this video: many others have stuck with the recommended presets. Pete moves it all over the place, showing the versatility to a greater degree.
Wonderful playing Pete! Inspired and inspirational. Great way to end a long day! (But practice first, then sleep)
Just finding this channel! So glad you have a channel, Pete!
I can't wait for the day John Mayer comes to Anderton's and has a jam session with Lee and Pete!!
Me neither :)
John is playing in London, mid October. He said he'd stop by next time he's in the UK.
Lukas oh boy would that be a dream come true! Im guessing whoever is lucky enough to get to jam with him will be star struck, which might make it harder to play
Thanks. Great demo of a great new pedal. I wonder if Origin will ever make a compressor/overdrive combo pedal.
That tone and playing at 21:00 - amazing!
Thanks for the review! Sounds great. The outro was so nice. Listened to it 3 times over. How about an instrumental album?
Best od pedal I’ve heard
Oooh that man can play👍🏻🙏🏻
This seems more intriguing to buy now that it's not a massive box... still expensive, but more usable. Thanks for the demo Pete!
When you hold it in your hands you can say it feels quite massive. Feels like a pedal made by 💎R*O*L*E*X💎
Love this video Pete!!!!!!! Wish you did 1 on 1 video lessons 😀
perfect lower gain pedal...sooo musical!!
Hi Danish Pete!
Thanks for your beautiful guitar playing!
Quick question, I am torn between the Revival Drive and your The Dane. I like clean and a bit of break up. It seems like the Dane has more low end, do you find that to be the case?
Swedish Claes
I'm sure it's been said, but since I'm a dad - I like that Paul Reed Smith had a Paul Reed Smith Paul's Guitar, and Paul Reed Smith gave his Paul Reed Smith Paul's Guitar to Peter. :)
Pete, what patch cables do you generally use? My pedalboard is small but a mess. Some patch cables are too rigid for the space available
Surprised how good it sounds DI’d with the cabzeus! Only question is, what is happening in the DAW plugin wise? Can we expect similar sounds going straight into a desk?
I see Pete at Andertons from time to time and he's always such a gent. In terms of feel for the music, timing and tone I don't think you'll find a better guitarist today.
Loving the gold hansen dude. Looking forward to meeting her some day.
And you shall :)
@@danishpete hej Pete, the description says customshop tele.
Not any more :)
Did I hear some Allman Brothers in the opening? Actually throughout most of the video.
Does it come with that nice table?

Using a tele
"Let's try some single coils now"
My man pete
:-)
lol ...yeah but that's because a tele is a tele... not really comparable to aaaannnything else :)
I Don’t mean to be rude Pete but could you get Paul R S to hurry up and start pumping out your purple sky signature T model ?
Genious...
I would buy this
Prs already has a Silver Sky, it's time for a Purple Haze, a Danish Purple Haze.
Waiting for a Origin Effect Rack with OD, COMP and TREM
Easy Like Sunday Morning?
I'm always in doubt about buying the Standard or the Compact version. Any suggestions?
Douglas Roberto da Costa its hard to decide which one😩
I kinda want the standard for the ghosting feature
EQ 1 for you homie. That sh*t sounded harsh!
Sounds like an Am radio. Wished you would have used the eq1 setting when using the amp.Too bright & thin. Better on eq1 when going threw apollo.
Wow, this thing is pretty amazing. Time to sell a kidney
Having just this minute ordered the Revival Drive from Andertons, I feel quite naughty, but at least my Cali76 will have a sibling to play with now...mwuhhahahahaha!
I think this this pedal is way more suited for humbuckers . I tried the Full Size Revivval drive . Really liked it with Humbuckersm, did not really like it all that much with single coils . I think it may be an excellent pedal to stack with another drive pedal to make the single coils sing and punch a little better .
Is it connected to the fx loop?
Txs mate
Think it's going in the front of the amp with all the amp's eq "at 12 o'clock"
I like Danish with my morning coffee.
Tom A me too. And Im danish!
According to Simon from ORIGIN EQ1 is for blackface amps - the Victory is a blackface type - isn't it? For me that sounds much more natural, also on my V40D...
You have chosen EQ2 which is Marshall style. I thought you would have gone with the Blackface EQ1. Or am I getting it wrong?
I those the setting I thought sounded best... I don't believe in labels :)...
@@danishpete I don't believe in labels--- DP, 26/09/2019
@@danishpete Pete eats labels for breakfast.
Den Hansen-guitar lyder bedre og bedre!
So when a pedal has a label ‘classic amp technology ‘ meaning valves and wires, but neither of those are in the pedal, what is the viewer meant to think Pete?
It says Classic Amp Topology.... that's a whole different thing!!
Never see the point of such versatile pedals with no boost option or something similar. Most will find their setting and leave it there rendering the versatility irrelevant. A boost option like the bigger one to bypass blend would be amazing
There is a boost option turn up your amp roll the volume down on you guitar and then turn you volume up when you need a boost.
Second !
Should be set to eq1 for that amp type... too thin
Just what I thought. :)
I actually have a little problem with both eq1 and 2 on my mesa boogie 5:50 express. eq1 is too muddy, eq2 is a little to thin. I have to stack it with compressor and another OD to get the tone i like. Kind of hurts when i paid 400$ for it :(
Tom Essberg That’s why they have the little silver knob; it’s a tilt type eq and you set the switch to best possible setting then adjust the knob to get thicker or thinner. It’s very flexible and I can match for all my different amps/cab emulations.
Hi Pete. Always appreciate you putting out content, but doing one pedal review after another seems kind of limited for what you have to offer. There are plenty of people reviewing pedals. I would be much more interested in your musical journey, playing tips, stuff you are working on etc. I think everyone that sees you play wants to learn how you do it. My 2 cents
Hi there. Thanks for your message. Well, 3 kids are not cheap to run so :)... But I am gonna mix it up in the future... Best P
£300! for this thing!!!
first.
I've never understood why people like the revival drive pedals. Anybody care to explain? Pedal sounds really thin to me. And too perfect sounding to get good expressiveness.
Michael Ferreira idk I but I put it thru a slightly crunchy amp. I use neck or both humbuckers together. It’s not thin or trebley. I guess it depends on the guitar, the amp, and how it is set.
Lol too perfect. That’s a new complaint...😉
@@forester057 gotta love jimi
The sad fact is all overdrive pedals all sound the same to us watching on even semi decent speakers. Let alone a mobile.
Why is that drive so trebley? So thin and has a tin foil sound. I like my OCD and TS9 way better then that.
huh??????? not even close..sounds incredible
I just don’t get it…. Every video of this pedal sounds horrible… would like a transistor radio, thin, treble ice pick….. why the hype
Great thing about this video: many others have stuck with the recommended presets. Pete moves it all over the place, showing the versatility to a greater degree.
