    Thank you for this tutorial. Your sidebar panel is more narrow than the one in the latest version of Google Chrome, which now takes up too much real estate. However, when I slide the panel's edge inward to make it more narrow, it won't budge.

    • @Simpletivity
      @Simpletivity  Год назад

      Thanks for watching. Journeys is intended to help you visualize your browsing history as categories and themes. It helps you easily go back to a browsing session and look at it as a theme that you were searching for instead of just a bunch of web pages.

    Hi, I got a what's new in chrome today and had a question which led me to you. Thank you for having a video which helped me. But...this has raised another question. I do not have a journey tab in my side bar, I do have a History, are they the same? I am not computer literate, not even close, but with sites like yours I get what I need and you are very thorough, thank you. Now that I have found you I will be looking forward to new videos. Have a great day.

    I have a question. Can I "Lock" or "Pin" a page on the side panel? Right-clicking gives me a drop-down list, but it doesn't include pinning or locking the page to the sidebar. If a page isn't pinned, it moves down as you add more pages until it disappears from the viewable list. You have then scroll down to find it. Thanks for making this video!

    • @Simpletivity
      @Simpletivity  Год назад

      Great question. But I'm not aware of this functionality yet. Using the bookmarks view as a workaround or pinning the tab at the top of the browser would be your best alternative.

    Does Chrome have a built in clipper like the one in Edge? i like the convience of cliping things and then selecting where to save the clip.

    • @Simpletivity
      @Simpletivity  Год назад

      The Reading List would be the closet thing they have to a built-in web clipper. Otherwise, you can find a number of other extension options within the Chrome webstore.

    How do I activate Journeys? Mine says no results, even though I have been searching on several sites.

    • @Simpletivity
      @Simpletivity  Год назад

      If you don't see Journeys, it could be one of two reasons. First, make sure you are on the most recent version of Chrome. Second, got to chrome://history/ and on the left hand side you can manually turn on/off this feature. I hope that helps!

    Meh. I have to dock the Magnifier at the bottom. This makes the browser display shorter from top to bottom. When I open the side panel, everything there is shortened as well - so there is no way to scroll up and down.
    I had hoped to turn off the 'bookmarks bar' and use side panel to open sites that i have on the bookmark bar, however, as I say, - with the magnifier on - it don't work

    I want to get rid of this annoying side panel that keeps popping up on the right hand side of my iPad .
    To temporarily get rid of it, I swipe towards the right hand side but there’s always a very small arrow showing and if I touch it that annoying side panel popped out again.
    If I am playing games, all of a sudden this annoying side panel pops onto the screen and nine times out of 10 I lose in the game because of this stupid annoying side panel. Did I say it’s annoying?😅
    How do I get rid of this side panel? I have looked everywhere on the Internet and can’t find anything. I followed the instructions on Google allto no avail.

    • @Simpletivity
      @Simpletivity  6 месяцев назад +1

      Unfortunately, Chrome's side panel isn't designed to display downloads. It focuses on providing quick access to things like bookmarks, reading lists, and browsing history.

      Thanks! Hopefully Google folks will add the Downloads page to the Side Panel. It seems so natural to have it here instead of a separate tab. In fact, they should allow any page to be added to the Side Panel.
