- These American hotrods on two wheels are built in Alabama, and they are powerful. I opened up the throttle when entering the highway, and the front wheel was already off the ground 3 minutes into my video. I was in awe. This big bike has that much torque. It was a lot different than my Supersport. A lot more comfortable too. I felt awesome revving that engine up, and the Akropovic mufflers produced an awesome sound. I could sit on the Sargent seat for hours, which is what this bike was meant to do. I had a lot of fun doing a review on this motorcycle, and I hope more people try giving Motus Motorcycles a chance. America's Sport-Tourer.

I see many comments on here about how this compares to a Suzuki Busa. 1. This Motus is a sport touring bike not a sport bike.2. Its power band is mostly below 5000 RPM, although to get that top extra HP you need to rev it to 8,000 RPM much more streetable power. 3. The valves never need adjusting, 4. This is a 200,000+ mile bike with no maintenance points except for oil and tire change and chain replacement at around 20-30,000 miles. 5. The bike is a pushrod in block cam making it light, compact with low center of gravity. 6. I hear and read that in block cams are ancient technology. Overhead cam engines are not new technology. The first OHC engines were in production as early as a 1909 Fiat. The OHC has come and gone several times but has mostly been utilized in high RPM small displacement engines. They each have advantages that make each one superior for what it was designed for. Each has it's specialized use. As for Motus, they wanted a low center of gravity, Lots of low end torque and simple design that could be modified and tinkered with to inspire owners to build hot rod type monsters.
I enjoyed your review, but that noisy techno music at the beginning was really awful. It's just so loud and obnoxious. Skip it.
That's not techno at the beginning...
Amazing how much HP can this small engine produce.. It's enough to power a car.
From my understanding, it's an LS based motor, shortened 25% then cut In half
I hope they build one we can all afford.
TX Rick I'd love a cruiser with it...
The day they do that, is the day we all can actually buy an "affordable" tesla. Not knocking the company they do it nicely but there's a reason things cost what they do.
Never happen, they built themselves out of business. That's what happens when you price something out of reach for most people.
@@brianzaborowski2724 but Harley Davidson models are more expensive
@@luismancilla7815 True, depending on what model you buy.
Make an V4 from the 6.2L LS3 and put it in an S10
lol... that makes as much sense as making a V8 from two Iron Dukes. 🤣
I love it, hopefully to buy one when I go to USA next year. Very different to cruisers for garnnies
Lee says he doesn't use 6th gear until 80mph. 5th and 6th are considered overdrive. Crazy ! I dream of owning one.
Love your videos dude, that bike is so sick! I'm a local man, check out my channel if you get a chance. Keep up the good work!
Riding in the grease streak.
I find myself in a paradox. I love the whole idea of Motus. The baby block is way cool. A sport bike built for all day crusing is exactly what I want. I want it. I love it. I have sufficient riding experience the bike doesn't intimidate me. I can even afford it. The question is, am I smart enough to own it? I fear the answer is no. Either I'd lose my license or worse, lose my life.
Dear JESUS! WANT!!!!
My Suzuki sx4 has a blown engine. Would love to swap this in.
Louis Babycos Motus sells this motor through a crate program.
@@ladyhawke515 Yeah, and it's only10k, lol. Then hope you can get parts when something breaks since they're out of business now.
I really hope motus designs a cruiser for us fatboys.
kyle stewart yess
That is the opposite of what motus builds, these aren't cruisers! You want that, go buy a harley..
the best sport touring out there is the fz1 or fz6 no doubt
Daniyal S. Fz1 garbage
Pretty sure the motus destroys either
Lol what? They're both good bikes, but the best sport tourers? No way!
Nicely done. Really like multiple shot very slow camera over the whole bike to start out the review. Wish more ppl shot vid that way. Hell, most insist on showing me their face instead of the bike, damn creepers. Honest reactions and riding impressions and riders point of view on the camera instead of that selfie shit from the handlebars. Keep up the great work. Thanks for the video. For domestic harmony, you might let the wife speak for herself lol
+Joe Strother this comment made me laugh. By the way, I've only been married two years, so she still puts up with me 😂
I don't see the point. Liter bikes are lighter and have more performance and have been around for years. I guess some people have to buy 'mercun. I bet the cylinders make your legs hot.
John Keckley The point is having a high torque cruiser for riding around all day that still let's you lean into turns. It's not a replacement for a track scalpel, but it gives you more torque at 3000rpms than any liter bike produces across the rev range, which is nice for laid back riding.
Wish you hire an italian designer urgently.
looking for a job most likely :)
