Stephen, thank you for this video. It's very interesting - I just recently started looking at lessons on MD and CLO3D - and was looking for good explanations on how to use the program. (My English is very bad - sorry for the typos and mistakes).
im trying to build a cylindrical bag. how do i get the bag from collapsing under gravity. i zeroed the gravity. i tried using a stiff material and adjusting the 1st 5 properties. I solidified. Froze the bottom and top circle patterns. Your bag inflated when simulated.
Thank you very much fot this detailed video! Can I ask though, in the thumbnail, there is a part shown on the bag that is not explained in the video on how to make it, and I am trying to make that exact part right now. I am talking about the small black piece sewn at the end of the zipper. Could you provide information on how to make this piece?
I think this is amazing, I use your video to shows many people about the feature; very helpful! This help answer lots of question many people have. One suggestion though! I think it would be helpful when you pressing the hotkey; maybe showing it on the screen. That way people can know and be about the follow Thank you so much for sharing
Thanks Stephen for sharing such informative video. Do you still use this software till this date ? Or you have move on with new other application / software for bag making ?
I use it nearly every day. I have started to switch to marvelous designer, but that’s because I am doing 3D render work and exporting the model to blender for shading. If you’re just doing patterning and renders from CLO, then CLO is solid. I needed more control over the mesh.
This is awesome! If someone were looking to invest in software to get their start in designing bags, would you recommend they start with CLO3D or Illustrator first?
Solid question. I think it’s depends on the end goal. I’d recommend illustrator for anyone that wants to do more than just bag patterning. It’s really a graphic design tool we’ve used to build patterns because the vector control is amazing. I’d recommend Clo for anyone that wants to pump out designs and iterate fast 💨 you can see the bag in 3D, which is huge. There are better controls for actually making a bag in Clo. Although, if someone is really serious about their craft... I’d say get both and learn to use them together. It’s more powerful that way.
Hi! thanks for this amazing video, I've learnt a lot. I'm just having trouble when layering with lining and internal pockets. I can't seem to be able to deflate the parts correctly. Any extra tip for doing this? And congrats on the virtual materials as well, I bought the package and can't wait to see what else you upload.
These materials were image textures. Basically taking a repeating pattern and getting the normals and displacements from them. I’m working on procedural in keyshot and blender now, though!
Hi! I'm at 22:41 and for some reason it wont let me sew the Gusset to the rest of the pattern with the zipper parts. Is it because they are separated? I tried both the segment +shift and then free sewing and neither option let me do multiple patterns. It only sews a single pattern at a time and stops when I move to try to continue.
Hi! Thanks for sharing your process! I use solidworks to create my hard pieces. You mentioned that you use Shapr3d and import as an OBJ. Is there another file type you recommend transferring that avoid resizing or that maintains properties better?
Dam bro it’s been awhile, you should keep it up

Beautiful video!! Can you please make other videos like this one where you explain/show us different bags/backpacks shapes?
Awesome video-so good! Please come out with a sneaker tutorial! 🙏
I am very exited. Nice video, lovely
Yay! Thank you!
ОМГ я обхахаталась пока смотрела этот ролик!!!Валяюсь под столом,ха ха ха)))))))))
You are the best, really! You have very good ideas and clever designs, Thank you so much for sharing 🍀🍀🙌

its a small piece of webbing. You sew each edge to self, then sew one of the edges to the edge of the bag
This is amazing!!!! It's the future! Thanks for the lesson!
Ya, Gus! It’s so rad! I’m obsessed
very detailed, i found this video today, already loving it!!!!
It's very helpful for my work!! Thanks for the lesson!

Great video. Def want to try this out. I want to make some custom camera bags. Do you use this program a lot?
Oh ya. All the time. It’s my primary tool.
Excellent 👌
Which software is best for bag design clo or marvelous designer or optitex.
thank you sir. I find this video

Did you include the zipper image in your files or do I need to find one/make one? Any reason you didn't use the zipper tool from CLO?
What kind of thread do you use ? Thanks for your video and I loved your story
When I simulate a bag without avatar, they looks no shape, just looks flatten fabric, even after sewing. Your video helped a lot. Thanks.
Glad it helped! 🎉
amazing
Would be interested to see how you create your materials, from photos or procedural?

Hey...... I am not able to do the form of bag firm and hard ....it is falling down and shapeless ....please help

me too, did you got the reason? then please share me..

I think the Shapr import is the issue. When I use fusion it comes in fine. So solid works should be good! Clo only takes in OBJ... I’m pretty sure
@@BagBuff AWESOME! So helpful! Thank you for the quick response!
hi i am following your tutorial step by step but my bag fall on one side but your bag still stay in the center can you help me what i am doing wrong.
Thank you
You bet 🤙
Did you make these materials yourself or is there a place you get digital materials from. I realize I can also buy this from you on your site too.
I made the ones I sell on the site
Hello my friends, how can I get this design software
Why didnt you merge the symmetric parts right in the beginning of the work?
I like the criteria: ...When will it be ready,?....I dunno. soon. Ok, moving on.
I wonder how much of this is applicable to Marvelous Designer...I've at least got a perpetual license for _that._ 😓
What course you are study?
