How to get perfect focus when doing landscape photography
• Landscape Photography ... Хобби
Excited for this video 👏🏿
It’s just a introduction, it’s part of a series
Bravo
Exciting. Fellow NZer
Thank you!
You should also get in touch with Stephen Milner photography. He’s a go art landscape photographer. Hiking outdoors epic landscape stuff.
I reckon manual focus is also about intentionality. Forces you to be intentional about what you want and don’t want to be in focus. It’s also funny how decisive the “auto or manual focus” argument can be. I’ve heard many times “real cinematographers would never use auto focus”
Also Panasonic has never had good autofocus. So there’s also that.
I’m actually already a few weeks into manual focus and it’s been amazing…except for one man interviews, I’d still 100% still use AF for them.
It looks like an interesting journey to tag along. Looking forward to seeing how using cinema lenses can help you to improve your videos.
One question, will you try also vintage manual lenses or do you plan to use only modern cinema lenses?
As I’ll rely on sponsorship, finances, or charity to get my lenses, it is most likely looking like I’ll be using more modern lens.
Is there a great vintage cine lens you can recommend?
@@ThomasBusbyPhotography i was not thinking specifically in vintage cinema lenses but more on vintage photography lenses like the Canon FD, Helios, Super Takumar... Some of those are relatively affordable and with enough character to make them interesting. I saw some companies even 'rehouse' then to make them easier to use with follow focus systems.
But it was just me being curious, whatever you do will be interesting 😀
The main plan for the series will be less on reviews and more on what I’ve learnt.
BUT long term I’d 100% love to find more great vintage and none vintage lenses and review them.
I’ve been wondering about a lot of lenses for X mount specifically and there is so little information out there that combination I’d like to try and answer a lot of my questions.
Plus I have some exciting ideas for challenges to just make my self a lot better that will take some time to implement, but should be great fun to share
