You are so talented. Any tips on singing and playing guitar at the same time? I can sing better when I’m not playing guitar. I can’t multitask. Lol😂

At least for me, I have the hardest time playing and singing at the same time when the strum pattern is new to me, or something I’m not used to, haha. So I’ll often stick to strum patterns that I’m so used to I could do in my sleep, or if you’re using a strum pattern that’s a bit more complicated or new, practice it a ton on its own, and then slowly practice doing it with singing. What I also found helpful was sometimes to just hum the melody rather than sing until I got it down, or even play the guitar to the actual song, and sing along with the singer too. But mostly whenever I had trouble with the multitasking, it was just a matter of really slowing it down, or even just doing one line of the song at a time and drilling it until it became more second nature. 😄
I hope that helps!! I am still not the best multitasker myself haha, as I do stick to my more comfortable strumming patterns, but those are what have helped me the most 😄
