@@Caliber8Tools Excuse my ignorance, with water added would that end weighing 100lbs or is it a 1:1 ratio? 60lb bag will equal 60lb once dried? Trying to fill and dry an entire 5 gallon with concrete to use as a weight.
@@sebastianluna1412 How many pounds do you want, 100? Add a 40 pound bag to the 60. The water will evaporate during the curing process. Wet cement is heavier than "dry" or more appropriately "cured" as only some of the water evaporates not all. Let me know if I'm right.
I know more than any person should about cement/concrete. However, I stumbled upon this video and I have to say that if you think anything prior to the 5:35 marker is "a waste of time", then you sir should make a video with your extensive knowledge in the field and educate others. You see, some folks take the time and don't just perform a task needed. Some take pride in their work and are willing to learn and educate themselves in something that is new to them. Humbling themselves to take in whatever knowledge someone may have to offer. To the poster of this video, keep up the great work, Brother. I have to repair 3 fence posts and am not really going to use the mixing machine much at all in future. Can you mix without the fancy mixing tool?
Yes, with a trowel or shovel, just takes longer. A drill and mixing rod just makes it easier.
Did you dump the full 50lb bag of cement mix into the 5 gallon bucket?
