- With my hands on the ENO Sub6, I'm finally able to share my comparison between the top lightest hammocks on the market. In this video, I share my thoughts on the lightest and my favorite for comfort.
Featured are the ENO Sub6, Kammok Roo UL, Grand Trunk UL, Sea2Summit UL, and the Lesovik UL.

Derek, your video was informative as ever.
I am six foot two inches tall, 282 pounds and viewing your channel from across the pond!
I would require an eleven-foot hammock at least.
Very few vloggers include additional products/information to accommodate us "Honey Monsters." Can you in future please?
Really good point. It’s easy to become myopic. With ultralight hammocks like this, there are not many that accommodate big and tall, especially given how stretchy they are.
@@DerekHansen Thank you for your prompt response to my question. I must have been the last in the queue for body shapes!
Another consideration…having had the very unpleasant experience of being dumped on my butt from having a hammock split on me, I now always go WELL in excess of my weight rating when selecting fabrics.
You should look at the cloud 71 from Dutchware, 145g at 11ft x 58in.
Isnt this the stretchy material he doesnt like?
Great breakdown Derek. What suspension system do you use for the sub6? I've used the becket hitch for a while and was wondering if that would work here as well.
Nate
the sub6 is optimized for any loop-based connector like a whoopie sling. The ENO Helios straps are what I was using to test, but you could use any whoopie sling-based suspension. Becket Hitch would also work, and that is by far my favorite method.
Notice the Sea to Summit UL hammock also comes in a XL version at size 9'10 x 4'11 (3 x 1,5m) and weight 9,7 oz (205g).
The stretchiness is the same I assume, as it is the same fabric.
Yeah, if it uses the same monofilament fabric, the stretch is the same. It's unfortunate (for me) because I really want to love those hammocks. I bought a Poltergeist UL from TrailHeadz Hammocks and Accessories featuring the .71 Cloud Monofilament fabric and it's just too stretchy to be a long-time favorite.
