They're like those fighters in Boxing/MMA that just keeps up and wait until the opponent gets tired. Then bam!
I think they have done a great job adjusting and getting used to the way their opponents play. As the series progresses, Nuggets started to figure out how to counter other teams while the staying composed. On the other hand, the opposing team gets more tired and desperate.
That was a mistake giving Nuggets life. They are dangerous. Now they have confidence. Game 4 is crucial. If Lakers lose game 4, I'll be really nervous. This Nuggets team is incredible, they won't go away without a fight

Nugs fan here. You guys are still the better team overall because you have 2 of the best players in the world that can impose their will, but we stay in games and have guys like Murray that can go off at any time. Game 4 is gonna be a must-win for both teams.

Had the Nuggets won Game 2 they'd have played not as desperate as they did in Game 3, and likely would've lost. Had the Lakers lost game 2 they'd have played with more urgency, and likely would've won Game 3....still leading the series 2-1.

At this level of competition and greatness, having a 2-0 lead makes it difficult to match or exceed the level of desperation that the Nuggets were bringing from the tip of game 3. As the game progressed and the the Lakers became desperate from being down big, it now became difficult for the Nuggets to match the Lakers desperation which is why they pulled within 3 after scoring like 18 straight.
This psychology combined with talent is why NBA games are comprised of teams making runs fueled by urgency and vice versa.

I just want to say, as someone who got back in the basketball about a year ago after taking a break for a few years, I love this show and their coverage. It really is such a unique presentation, and everyone feels so genuine. I’m a Toronto fan and was bummed they got eliminated, but I’ve enjoyed tuning in to NBA on TNT just for their coverage.

Sir Charles, let me help you out with an analogy that you can say to Shaq so he could understand what you mean.
Basically Charles is saying L.J and A.D didn't play well but their stats were good. He's saying like when a football team is getting blown out but the QB and receivers had good stats because they threw the ball all over the field in the 4th, put great numbers because the defensive backed off and let them get all the little short passes and completions but couldn't get it done when it mattered.

a 30 point triple double is a good game, sometimes stats lie but tonight they didn't. Throughout the game lebron gave his team spurts of energy we so focused on the ending when it was rondo that led the run, lebron kept them afloat throughout the first 3 quarters
I get his point i don't think a triple double can be classified as not playing well at least on an individual level. But when Lebron and AD don't have great games, the flaws of the Lakers are clear. Kobe’s mentality his whole career “you might be better than me but you won’t out work me” the Lakers didn’t work as hard as they could BUT that might be part strategy to have more energy for the next game.
