the creepiness of the songs is due to the band having a lot of lore and story to the band, I would also reccomend their new stuff such as Leave me alone and razzmatazz!
idkhow is a great band that loves to poke fun at music at a whole because both of them are kind of tired of the mainstream scene. a lot of the quirks from the videos are due to band lore but they basically styled their debut album like they’re an 80s band that got lost to time and then got rediscovered
GASPS IDK HOW?? OH THIS IS A GOOD DAY!! I would also recommend Tally Hall and Miracle Musical! They’re the same kinda area of Idk How and Lemon Demon even though they’re very different!
at their concerts they have their opening band come on at the end and sing "no one likes the opening band" with them,,, at least they did at my concert before covid lol it was very funny
love idkhow! Side note, I saw them in concert and they performed the song "no one likes the opening band" WITH their opening band, which was quite fun. And their opening band was actually fairly good on their own!
You should listen to the brobecks. They are freaking amazing and it also has Dallon Weekes(the lead singer and bassist) as the frontman. Some good songs are: Better than me Goodnight socialite Bike ride I will, tonight And all of the drugs Edit: You should also listen to falling in reverse if you havent already. It has Ryan Seamen on the drums and their music is freaking awesome
ABSOLUTELY YES! LISTEN TO THE BROBECKS! dallon weekes started in the brobecks as his high school band, then he was in panic! At the disco for a few years. And now we have idk how. He's a very consistant musician in all of his projects lol
This is a fantastic band. They have a ton of range and really sound different than anything else out there. They absolutely do not take themselves serious. It's Great.
There are so many other songs that you didn't listen to that are amazing, I'm gonna get their names and then edit them into the comment Mx sinister, Leave me Alone, Absinthe, and bleed magic
fun fact (because I gotta use my music harmony knowledge somewhere), the "offbeat stuff" is called syncopation, where they don't put the main beat or the strong beat on the first beat of the bar and put more emphasis on whats usually soft beats to help push the music forward.
you should review ‘RAZZMATAZZ’ soon! it’s their first debut album. the one you reviewed was their ep. then listen to the brobecks next! it’s dallon’s (and ryan’s) previous band. idkhow has the ghost of the brobecks. idkhow has a song called ‘clusterhug’ which has a brobecks version (it was the first version and dallon didn’t want that song to just rot on the internet)
I forget where but I’m pretty sure he’s actually mentioned they’re one of his favorite bands so I doubt he’ll do a reaction since he’s already familiar with their music.
i love this band!! it’s a fave of mine, their songs choke and sugar pills go the hardest imo (i think you’d quite like sugar pills) also! you should definitely listen to half•alive! i recommend these songs -still feel. -the fall -creature (possibly the orchestra version cause that one GETS me) -Aawake at night -BREAKFAST -ok ok? -Pure Gold i’d say these are the ones that i like the most
They're rather unknown, but how about checking out the band "Dirt Poor Robins"? I love all their songs, but I particularly recommend "Great Vacation" (The original version from the album "The Cage") Nightinggale, Evergreen, Speak to Me, Never a Key and Maximilian von Spee are some other really amazing songs from them.
I like the new one of Great Vacation too but really both deserve to be listened to on their own merits. Then again my first exposure to them was Part 3. They have a new album and a movie as well now (both that they posted to YT) and all of it is jamming
Oh you know what you should listen to Eyedress if u haven’t! If you haven’t you should listen to Jealous, Separation Anxiety, Romantic Lover, and Last time I’m falling in love.
I went to a Grandson concert once and the ones opening were Royal & The Serpent, who I looked into since I didn't know them. Turns out I knew a couple songs and the ones I didn't know, I loved. I'm a big fan now
they have a whole album called “razzmatazz”! also if u didn’t know, Dallon was a bassist, song writer and a back vocalist for panic! at the disco for a long time.
12:37 I remember listening to an opening band at a concert a few years ago and really liking them, now they’re one of my favorite bands. They were even on America’s Got Talent a few years after I saw them and got to the semifinals. I definitely know not to skip the opening band.
I've been to like 3 concerts, and was blessed everytime. The first time I went to see MSI and they were opened by Morningwood who was playing their last show. The second one was kinda like a warp tour kinda thing but much smaller at a 6 flags, where I was literally only there for FOB so I skipped everyone lol. The last time was a FOB concert, they were opened by P!ATD, who was opened for by TOP. Thay was the night i discovered TwentyOne Pilots. Travis Mckoy also made an appearance to sing his part in a song lol.
I stumbled upon these guys within the last year or two. I just turned 42 in September and they make me shake my butt around my kitchen and I don't care who's watching. They are great. Their music makes me happy- even the songs that are of the more depressive nature (kinda like Hollywood Undead's 'Bullet'). I can't listen to the one he wrote to his kid because it makes me so sad that I can't even get through making a comment about it without tearing up. That's the only one of their songs like that, though- at least that I've found.
okay so its weird, but I avoided listening to "No one likes the opening band" until now, because I always love the opening band? Like after my last concert I went and talked to the opening band instead of the actual one bc I was too intimidated by them. The singer was such a nice dude, we chatted on Instagram a couple times after that.
If you wanna do a part two I would recommend: kiss goodnight (this is a song about when Dallon the vocal singer met his wife), door, razmatazz, sugar pills, die alone and from the gallows
Could I recommend "The Hoosiers" (if he hasn't listened to them yet) Some song specifically: Goodbye Mr A A sadness runs through him Killer Run rabbit run
There actually is a music video for Choke somewhere out there! I would know, because seeing it on the music program Rage at like 10 pm is what got me into this band in the first place lmao anyway, great to see more people getting into this band, they're so good
This video made me realize I really need to listen to more idkhow songs. Also funny enough for me with the last song, the only concert I've ever been to was specifically FOR the opening band lol. It was 5SOS opening for One Direction back in like 2014 I think
You really should listen to Dallon and Ryan's original band The Brobecks, its the project they did before Dallon was the bassist for Panic! At the Disco and Ryan was the drummer for Falling in Reverse.
Modern Day Cain is my favorite song, I’m glad it was your first impression of them because it definitely catches you off guard. Social Climb is my other favorite of theirs. If you ever do a part two, even though it’s been a year, I definitely recommend listening to Sugar Pills, it’s a bop. The Brobecks is another great artist, it’s a band that had the two people from iDKHOW in it and it’s how they met!
bruh i love this band ahh If you listen to them again i suggest listening to their album called Razzmatazz specifically these songs -From the Gallows -Razzmatazz -Sugar Pills -Leave me Alone -Clusterhug -Kiss Goodnight -Need You Here :) Ty!
I would love it if you could react to Lord Huron, they have some very chill songs, and the music videos are really cool. Some songs I would recommend are: - The night we met - I lied - Not dead yet - Ends of the earth
YOOOO i'm so glad you listened to IDKHOW!! Loved hearing your thoughts on the music as always dude! I think if you were to ever do a part 2 you should totally listen to their new stuff from their album Razzmatazz. Specifically I'd recommend Leave Me Alone, Clusterhug, Sugar Pills, Mad IQs, and Need You Here but honestly any songs off that album would be great because they're all jams
i second everyone who wants razzmatazz reactions! i also think you would really like some of the brobecks songs, they were dallon's old band from before he joined panic at the disco, and their sound is so fantastic, and you can see a lot of it in current idkhow music i recommend the visitation of the ghost goodnight socialite second boys will be first choice clusterhug (they actually remade it as an idkhow song, which is awesome) boring tbh you cant go wrong with their Violent Things album ive been a fan since they had 3 songs and its great to see more people finding their music!
I'm so happy that you finally listened to them, they were the first ones I wanted you to listen to when I first found you. I hope you'll visit them again and listen to Razzmatazz
When I heard you're gonna react to IDKH from a dsmp fansong react I think I was so excited and glad didn't missed this and on my recommendation. Definitely gonna revisit IDKH (I didn't know they have lore b4 I read the comments)
As some of the people said down below you should listen to The Brobecks same people that made idk how and has such good songs. They only made one album so I’d recommend just listening to the whole thing
ARE U KIDDING ME I listened to a few of the brobecks songs a couple weeks ago and legit thought "damn he sounds like Dallon from idkhbtfm" HE IS DALLON?????
Omg you should definitely do a part two with their newest album!! my favorites are: Razzmatazz Kiss Goodnight Door Clusterhug From The Gallows Honestly just listen to all of their music because they're all super good songs!
A group you should listen to is The Chats, they have like a punk rock-ish style to them and some songs you should definitely listen to are #1 Bus Money and #2 Drunk n Disorderly! :)
I 1-up this but I recommend the original album, "whatever they say I am, that's what I'm not" pretty much any song on that album is a banger, but its got some ICONIC British classic
Omg yes they have some bops. They get me pumped up. Love your reaction. I would recommend checking out Nico Collins “Nothing ever changes“ is the song that got me into his music. (Prisoner, Don’t wake me up, Borderline and mean what ever catches your attention)
I’ve been to a few concerts, and I’ve been lucky enough that once or twice the opening band was actually better that the band I went to see (for example SQUID was opening for a band I went to see and I was BLOWN AWAY)
I have a recommendation for you! You should (if you want to) react to Mystery skulls animated by MysteryBen27. Of course, in chronological order for it to make the most sense (or, well, order of when posted) - Ghost, Freaking out, Hellbent, and The Future. The music is great, and so is the animation. It all tells a story, and i find it all really interesting.
:DD So glad you've listened to IDKhow, they're my favorite band! Also I love ur reactions and the way you explain the technical bits, it's like actually understandable lol
if you ever intend to do a part 2 here are some recs: from the gallows (one of my faves) mx sinister (one of my faves) clusterhug (one of my faves) sugar pills (one of my- ok you get it) mad iqs need you here lights go down or you can check out the brobecks which was the band prior to idkhow (tw for some songs): clusterhug (the brobecks version) goodnight sociallite visitation of the ghost small cuts if you like or or not le velo pour deux better than me

YOOOO!! IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE!!!! please do a part 2 if you get a chance, and do some from their second album!! some i suggest are -leave me alone -razzmatazz -from the gallows -clusterhug and they have a single called mx. sinister that i think you’d like!!!
Fun fact: The lead singer of IDKHBTFM Dallon was a bassist for Brendon Urie and they where often "shipped" together because they had a realy fun dynamic on stage like slapping eachothers a$$, grabbing crotches and during IWSNT they would twist their heads do it looked like they kissed
I recommend Palaye Royale: -Dying in a bathtub -No Love In LA -Warhol -Death is a party, invite all your friends -You'll be fine -Hang On To Yourself :)
Even though this has nothing to do with the video, I recommend a Japanese group called team o.b.n.n. It’s a RUclips channel that sings covers of vocaloid songs
hey y'all! good to have you here again :) if you wanna follow me on IG i'm @mathew_mckenna
Please!!! Please!!!! I’m begging youuuu!!!!! React to “happier than ever” by Billie Eilish!!!!!!!!!!!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

the creepiness of the songs is due to the band having a lot of lore and story to the band, I would also reccomend their new stuff such as Leave me alone and razzmatazz!

I'd love to see another video with newer songs too like cluster hug would be great too :D
I prefer choke

I HAVE HAD BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
Even though this has nothing to do with the video, I recommend a Japanese group called team o.b.n.n. It’s a RUclips channel that sings covers of vocaloid songs
How have I recognized every song but have never heard of this band XD
