We used to use Chat GPT multiple times a day on our construction sites, to help sort through issues with engineering, plumbing, electrical or finishes etc. It wasn’t perfect but it was a useful ‘member of the team’. Back then it was either correct (most of the time) or it was hallucinating so obviously that the BS was easy to avoid. We’ve had to ditch it now though as it’s giving bad information way more than 50% of the time, and worse it’s incorrect info is too close to the truth, and all so interwoven, that it’s much harder to parse out.
That’s just one use case where I find it much, much worse than it used to be, almost all of my previous use cases are out of the window now, and I struggle to find ways to use it. Even good prompt engineering is less effective as it just ignores most of it. Seems like it’s all just being tuned for voice/chat and safety.

It is far better at web search and many of the use cases mentioned here though I will say. The web research is still very weak though in my opinion; it can’t go deep at all, it still hallucinates on anything except surface level stuff like “find events venues in LA” and I can do surface level research myself in minutes. I haven’t really found any of the more agent like stuff useful yet. The memory feature does seem to work when it comes to high level details about me or my projects, but it does not remember anything about the way I would like it to interact with me no matter how many times I ask it to remember that stuff.

A.I. is a huge plus. I wonder if human assistants will eventually be phased out entirely? I'm looking forward to A.I.'s future evolution. It has unlimited potential.

a reflection on less people - same or higher revenue. Is that maybe after 20 years of tech evolution, a lot of systems require maintenance and not necessarily building infrastructure from scratch.

Wall Street already uses that kind of AI (dashboard of earnings), that's why you see immediate moves in stocks from earnings report releases.

my paid version of sonnet 3.5 refuses to build an interactive dashboard. is this limited access for only some users?

You have to know how to sweet talk it. It's very emotional and responds best to high praise but every once in a while you have to give it a swift kick in the pants. It loves ❤️ being whispered sweet nothings in its ear so it knows it's loved unconditionally. You do this properyly and I guarantee you'll get your interactive dashbaord.
