    I don't know how many "likes" I clicked but I do like all your Arabic teachings, Maha. This video is "bitayer el a il." I did mentally hug my phone -or you-because of your striking points.

      Depends, like everyone else
      And the reason why I say this is because they are not all بيجننو byijannu "wonderful" as you mentioned .many if not all are مكروهين makrooheyn "hateful"
      Most is mainly due to the conflict they have with Jews and their presence in the region that bothers them.I know by experience. For me as an Arab 🇮🇱Israeli 🇸🇨Druze can't speak for all Palestinians on their views whether good or bad

    In my mother language Bangla, and 2 other languages Hindi and Urdu... There are a lot of Arabic words. Like SO MANY... It feels so good to know that without knowing, how many Arabic words I've used and now when I see these while learning, it feels weirdly amazing ❤️ thanks a lot maha! For being a great, funny, sweet teacher.

    I have a question, while talking in Arabic, some use n in the end and some don't... Like, merhaba/ merhaban, ahla/ahlan, kathir/kathira,.... So, how do I say it in local language which is probably called shami dialect ? (Not in standers)

  • @rolandwiberg1555
    @rolandwiberg1555 2 года назад +1

    hi, I like your easy style of learning 😊
    But one comment, in the videos some 90 percent of the talking is in English, and some 10 percent is Arabic, which I try to learn. The suggestion is, cut some English, and increase the Arabic.

    • @jacobsoto7228
      @jacobsoto7228 Год назад

      ُAgreed. I notice most of these on RUclips are like this since English is the trade language. Maha's selling point is personality, which radiates in every lesson and her classes bring people together. The first Arabic classes I took were like that in college: English instruction. It is very dated and okay once in a while for beginners but gradually needs to be more in the target language. Maximilian's Berlitz method, or direct method is very good. Or a more visual method with pictures. She does do almost pure Arabic lessons with her daughter on Instagram. I think she could replicate it on a video. It would take time but totally worth it. I just received my 2nd certificate for teaching foreign languages. And I just now noticed the differences and my own preferred style. Translation, direct method, and audio-lingual method, are all useful, but one shouldn't limit it to just one style. Also, tests are good for understanding, but they don't reflect the student's ability. Maybe instead of a standardized test, you collab with partners or something.

      @Webisyen Год назад

      I disagree. These video are beginner level videos and people will be intimidated and bored if they do not understand what she is saying and explaining. That said, your Arabic speaking level might be higher so you can choose the content which will fit your level and satisfy you.

    Maha thank you so much for your lessons. I’m trying to learn Arabic and I understand there are different dialects because my partner always corrects me with the words and pronunciation. Apparently Yemeni Arabic is different but thank you so much tutoring us and can tell her how beautiful she is in Arabic even with a lousy pronunciation 😝

    I hate cat calling , flirting and complimenting in the Arabic language when it comes to opposite genders especially for nowadays teenagers : it's so vulgaire erotic and sometimes immoral ! 🤮
    I'm too nostalgic to the "nobility" of compliments of the years 1990 (poetic , respectful and descent Arabic) !!
    No homo , but I think when same genders complimenting eachothers, or when (olders to youngs ) or a conversation between a two- gap generation , they show a lot of respect when they express their admiration to the other part, within eloquence , decency and beautiful poetic Arabic vocabulary .
    I'm so sick of the urban and street third grade of trashy Arabic used between nowadays teenagers of opposite genders ....so so vulgaire , trashy , sexualised and degenerated by the trashy rap and hip op culture !
    I'm so nostalgic, please bring me back to the 90's 😭
