It’s funny how we all as fishermen get addicted to certain aspects of Steelhead. Not sure if I ever ever watched a single episode of Fishing The Odss without hearing, “look at that tail”! 🤣. All us fishermen are a funny bunch.
I don’t see how the sliding weight moves when the fish takes the bead or jig…the weight isn’t pegged in place, and it isn’t neutral buoyant…it’s sitting against the bead or swivel, and will stay there with the bobber down…
I think that it will stay with the bobber down but if the fish grabs it and runs left or right the barrel swivel will pull away from the weight as that plastic component slides up the line. However, in shallow runs that weight can only slide up a foot cause that is where my bobber stop is. I don't fully believe it makes too much of a difference but as I stated in the video that is the idea behind it.
A weekly fishing the odds steelhead video is my weekly sacrament.
