Those other OCs in the title art for book 8 are most likely Eikþyrnir/Eikthyrnir (the male oc) and Heiðrún/Heidrun (the blue/lavender female oc), who are sacred animals in Norse mythology, being a stag and a goat respectively. In mythology the two stand atop Valhalla and Heidrun provides mead for the heroes/einherjar of Valhalla; considering that the female OC is carrying a drinking horn - which the norse cultures would typically use for drinking mead and such - that may be a reference to her role in mythology.
What about the theory of the female character potentially being Heimdallr, though, being the one to guard the gate between Yggdrassil and Asgard? Considering both the horn and her unique eyes (shining magic eyes) it could lean that way.
@@leskthedesk9334 or the fact that horn may indeed be the Gjallarhorn, the horn that signaled the start of Ragnarok in Norse mythology, and is the horn that Heimdallr carries? Which...given we have literally ran out of Nine Realms besides Asgard itself, and we're now after the world tree Yggdrasill, the very thing that connects all the Nine Realms together...yeah, could be safe to say the tree itself may get damaged so badly in this book that she may blow the horn to signal Ragnarok coming, thus FINALLY kicking off the conflict between Asgard and Midgard (and would also be book 9 next year if it plays out that way)
Gacha games prioritize having a good OST because it creates staying power and investment. Holy hell, this goes insanely hard. Definitely my favorite map theme from Heroes and possibly my second fav Heroes track (1st is the Book 3 Boss Theme)
I feel it's a pretty good mix of book 5s technological theme (which is interesting to note from Hraesvelgrs's more steampunk appearance [and the fact that in norse mythos hraesvelgr is actually a jotun]) and book 6s violin (which i feel connects to Henriette, who I previously assumed was part of the Emblian royal family at one point, although part of me thinks she may actually be the story's replacement for Heimdall) Basically, this theme is great
I honestly like the music and overall theme of the new book, but for the love of god, Intelligent Systems, give us only ONCE a "good" male hero for a book pleeeease. Alfonse is constantly surrounded by women 99 % of the time. This is why I already changed my avatars gender from female to male because this game is freakn overloaded with women and as a woman, this is getting exhausting (for years now). Why can we never have any new good male characters? The only other good male heroes all die for some reason (Gustav, Freyr, Bruno). That's also why I prefer male Kris, Byleth, Shez and Alear. Because we severly lack any good male characters in this franchise. I love FEH but I'm also so tired of their design choices.
It seems to me that the influx of heroines have eyes for the summoner more than Alfonse. If you manage to summon Gullvieg, she admits that she is in love with them in every timeline and every one of her incarnations. Fjorm is less honest but more obvious, Eir doesn’t understand her feelings or how to express them, but there’s something there, Peony is a child in a mature body, Ash is more focused on the collective good, and Reginn is similarly childish in her romantic prospects, but she seems to cling to us in particular
Because the majority of the playerbase are straight males, so they’re gonna want to cater to them first lol. I know it sucks but that’s how IS rolls. This is coming from a woman btw.
