From alabama U.S here. I'm used to extreame heat waves. If you can't get ahold of a window a.c. unit,using ice on the back of your neck will lower your bp and body temp. Hot showers or baths Will make the temperature seem cooler,and shaving the under part of your head helps keep you cool when you have thick hair
If you have a basement highly suggest running a dehumidifier and hanging out down there. I’m from a place with all the seasons, sometimes in the same week - so if we have a heatwave early or late when the A/C is still in storage we “camp” in our basement because it’s at least 10 degrees cooler. Hope your weather improves soon! I kinda want a redemption arc for Trudy and Theo.
What I like about Jen is that she can suck me in to a series in two minutes flat without any effort and have me invested in literally every sim she makes. This is rare for me because it would take a few episodes for me to even care a little bit. A true talent Jen!
I just recently visited Washington and we actually went up there to get away from the heat because we are from North Carolina! We ended up being there on the two hottest days. It ended up being like 109 on one of the days in Seattle. It was a nightmare, and realizing that no places or houses had air conditioning was a complete shock. It is just such a normal thing to have where I am from so we had to sleep in a hot hotel room every night >.
Love this family! Really, the storyline seems to have potential to be as deep as the Foreman’s! Hopefully the LP can continue once the expansion releases

Maybe Trudy's from a wealthy family and they taught her to look down on "menial" tasks like gardening or fixing things (instead of replacing them), so that's why she's snobby and dislikes hard work. She might even have an estranged relationship with them, but she doesn't want Theo to have that same dynamic so she agreed when he decided to move back to help his family. I think there's more than meets the eye to her and her initial personality.

I moved to Texas just in time lol While the rest of the country is roasting, we are having fairly nice weather (comparatively) with lower temps, more humidity and lots of rain and thunderstorms. I was teasing my mom that she should've came to Texas while she could during the heatwave.
I feel like Trudys son would just kinda throw money at his mom 2 seem like hes being a good son helping her out and her grandson would be like ok I know nothing about this farm life but Im gonna be here for her no matter what even if I find this disgusting
