      Jon Jones was talked about in such ways after beating Stephan Bonnar. When he only had 9 fights. And the fighters he fought before didn’t have Wikipedia pages, except maybe one.
      Also, it Hass to do with the fact that this guy has already proven himself in another sport that is very similar. Look at how they were talking about Alex perreira, after only a couple fights. And dude became champ soon thereafter. Almost nobody knew any of his opponents other than Sean Strickland before he got a title fight. But again it’s because he had proven himself in a different sport.

    What Bo is doing is literally unprecedented in UFC history! Bo has finished all his amateur & all 5 of his pro fights within minutes, he has 2 knock outs & 3 submission’s! (He has both KO’s & Submissions in all his amateur fights) he’s done all this in less then 2 years. There’s not another fighter in UFC history that’s so quickly had the success Bo is having against the level of opponents he’s facing so early in his career.
    Jon Jones had success quick, but he still had over 6 pro regional fights before going into the ufc & made his UFC debut against a guy who was 1-1 and took him to a decision.
    Khabib had over 300 amateur MMA fights & 16 pro fights against absolute CANS before making his UFC debut against an opponent with a 9-5 record & took him to the 3rd round, Compare that to Bo who made his debut with only 3 pro fights against Jamie Pickett with over 21 pro fights and 7 UFC fights! Btw in all Bo’s fights he’s never been hit with a significant strike yet!! Think about that? Finished all 5 opponents within minutes against a level of opponents that’s unheard of that early in someone’s career. Made his contender series debut with less then a year of MMA training & only 1 pro fight! Anyone saying Bo is being “slow rolled” or “being built” has no idea and should compare Bo’s early career to any of their favorite fighters, none of them did what Bo is doing.

    • @jakedemaggio8649
      @jakedemaggio8649 11 месяцев назад +2

      There’s a reason so many of us are excited about him and theres a bunch of haters for some reason, he literally has the potential to be one of the greatest talents we’ve ever seen, maybe THE greatest. You compare what Bo is doing so early in his career compared to any of the all time greats and none of them did what he’s doing, in fact not even close! Including GSP, Jones, Khabib, Anderson Silva etc.

The only way he could play guard is if he was taken down then he could stay seated and use jiu jitsu. He baited Bo the whole match to take him down. Bo was smart and waited, Gordon turned and stood with his back to Bo and finally Bo suplexed Gordon and Gordon was able to submit Bo Bo there after. Here's a list of stars UFC has recently lost or will lose in the next 2-3 years: Conor, Nate, Tony, Masvidal, Jon Jones, Stipe, Gaethje, Chandler, Poirier, Lawler, Khabib, Volk, Izzy, Wonderboy, Colby, Poatan. Wrestling is a Martial Art. It's time that wrestlers understand that just because their Art became a Sport and Entertainment, the very root of self defense stems from Wrestling.

      Thing is that other great wrestlers like Cejudo have also joined the sport too, but despite him having a higher accolade to Bo's, he never really presented a skillset apart from boxing and wrestling. Bo freakishly learnt the many facets surprisingly quick and can't put it together like no one I've seen in the sport.

    Bo could be a g.o.a.t 1 day. The thing about Bones is- yes he beat the best of the best a couple times and from a young age- taking nothing away from Jon - the talent is on a completely different level for a fighter starting out now, then when jon started... hence (like with Khamzat, Paddy, even O'Malley - the UFC knows that they need to go a bit slower with these today's guys/star prospects) but Bo is wildly unbelievably good!!!!
