Also, remember that your palate develops and requires more complicated foods as you get older, so while your tastes might say "Hey, boxed is fine" now, you may not feel that way about it later. I've had real cheesecake that was made with love by a lovely New York lady, her great-grandmother's recipe, and I tell you, NOTHING in a box could EVER match it. It's also a thing of a job well done: when you take the time to learn how to craft such a beautiful thing, you gain greater reward out of it. Wood crafters and artists of all kinds will tell you, cooking is an art!

I was just saying he's picky (look at how many eggs he wastes) and overcomplicates some of his recipes in response to the person saying he's elevating the culinary world.

So I made this for my mother on her birthday. It was a grand slam. Only had a 9inch or 23cm spring form pan so had to adjust the crust layer from 12 cookies to 15 and the butter from 30g to about 40g, but I kept the normal ingredients for the rest and just had a shorter cake. For those who may be hesitant on making this because some ingredients look special I did use Great Value unflavored gelatin powder, Lindt white chocolate, ReaLemon juice, and normal Heavy cream for the things I was kind of worried about, and it turned out great.
I have tried this recipe with stawberries, and blackberries! Both also work very well, but with a more tart berry you don’t need lemon juice, and you need to strain out the seeds. Also, I suggest using rich tea or maria biscuits for the crust, since Oreos don’t go as well with other berries, but ymmv. Amazing recipe, very flexible!!
