Upon learning the truth about Clovis from Rasputin, Ana feels extremely angry and used by Clovis, and she extracts his consciousness from the Exo and sends it back to the Bray Futurescape. Meanwhile, Rasputin rightfully takes his place as the main entity in control of his new Exo body.

Shows that even a machine can have more of soul then people like Clovis.

Despite having an entire Solar System of weapons of mass destruction at his disposal, he still has the mind to speak in the same tone and cadence as a normal humanoid, exactly how Ana programmed him, and his voice reflects it.
Through all that code and powerful bass is the voice of a regular person.

Clovis VA absolutely smashed this scene. Gave me chills when he screamed "ELIZABETH, DO SOMETHING!".
I was shocked to hear that they changed the Europa battleground dialogue after this cutscene. he literally hates our guts now.
Just an FYI in case anyone is confused:
The Clovis Ana deleted wasn't the actual Clovis AI. It was more so another copy, or a subroutine. Basically it would allow Clovis to remain at Braytech while still being in the loop. When the Clovis Subroutine was deleted, it sent a message to the primary AI.
Honestly I think we should send a Fireteam down there ASAP and delete Clovis for good. I don't like the idea of an egotistical AI lunatic left to it's own devices.
Yeah but hear me out, he's like one of the few enjoyable characters in D2
We can't do that because he holds many secrets still, he's important, but luckily restricted now.
Pretty sure Bungie is saving that idea for later

This may be one of the few instances where a robot with glowing red eyes is the good guy whereas the one with blue eyes is evil.

traveler didn't really do much it brought enemy to us screwed over fallen which screwed us over screwed us again with hive at least bray founder created rasputin the exos and golden age tech plus how use stasis stuff better
also the traveler is literally responsible for creating our enemy the scorn and hive guardians so we still getting Ls lol
also u obviously didn't read lore because traveler was actually going leave earth until rasputin threaten it with the weapons that are shown in cutscene so it stayed

So, did Rasputin just cannibalize Clovis’s AI? I still hear Clovis’s voice when he speaks.
Rasputin literally said he borrowed clovis' voice so that he could speak to us right after the cutscene
He picked up some hieuristics data to use his voice, as rasputin never exactly spoke english, only russian.

Clovis is still on Europa, this was merely a segment of him. He leaves you a rude message if you do the Europa battleground after this mission
To everyone who thinks Clovis has a point, reminder that while he may "have humanities best interests at heart," that's only from his perspective, and he has been shown to also be fairly narcissistic and self-centered. I'd trust a cowardly god over a self-centered man who thinks he should be a god
Also, he says the Traveler failed to prevent the Collapse when he failed as well. He’s too blinded by his ego to see any of his faults.
I wish they used her own holstered revolver model instead of the ikelos one :/

Ight so im gonna assume ana is atleast above 5 foot. The ikelos hc.v1 is atleast the size of her calf meaning handcannons are roughly half the size of a ar-15 thus handcannons are quite literally hand cannons

Banshee is Clovis with an adjustment to his personality. He left his narcissistic traits behind, having learnt of wanting nothing to do of his past, but he obviously kept quite a few tinkering and smart qualities of his old self. And cause he's so forgetful, he didn't know till some point in the quest where you get the Lament sword where he finds out (he's probably already forgot it again). A bonus, if I remember correctly, Banshee's exo shell is much stronger than typical standard exo shells (probably not on par with guardian exo's though)

Yeah, she deleted the copy of A.I inside of Exo frame. But he managed to send a distress signal saying "They know"....

Or rather, the witness. Clovis was guided by visions from the darkness to pursue the creation of the exos, exalted by his own selfish ambitions of becoming the center of all human thought, and creating immortal life.
Clovis Bray was guided by clarity to Europa, found the artefact and used it to create the exos as well as discover stasis. He always envisioned clarity as somehow benevolent, simply because if it wanted to kill and harm things it had way better methods of doing it. He could not understand that the Darkness could be malicious and seek to do things in a way that is not the most efficient, but instead the most tragic and painful overall.
And now it is clear he wants to exert control over humanity once more and the witness likely promised him that.
When I saw this cutscene, I was in a fireteam with my buddy, he saw Ana with the gun but I just saw Ana pointing at Clovis like how yugioh cencored guns in the anime
It wasn't exactly too surprising that the Bob Page copy wanted to pull a Bob Page. What was surprising is that this is the halfway point instead of something like the climax which makes me wonder what else is in store.
i think we will continue helping rasputin, but then we discover the information isnt there for Neomuna, but clovis is still a threat and a loose end, and so we go down and assult the exosciance with a small army from rasputin, Rasputin deltes clovis AI for good, and in the same time finds the information osiris was looking for.

I didn't get to have half of this dialog my game glitched out and it was like Anna was just like staying in there so I'd like I didn't get any of those cuts
Clovis practically invited the Darkness fleet amd the witness to come to Sol thanks to him. So he doesn't have any right to judge the Traveler. Literally Savarhun ended up saving our species by tricking the Witness the first time around.

This cutscene makes me tear up a bit, as with my Dissociative Identity Disorder, the original host of this body wasn't that great of a person, and being able to overcome them and take control changed my life. The cutscene makes me feel as if I'm being hugged and that I can finally understand why I am the way I am

Yeah no. Clovis was the greatest character in this season. His ungrateful and ignorant granddaughters are essentially murderers now.

I find it stupid that they already gave us the exo strangers name Elizabeth but they dont change her name tag
What's even funnier is that litteraly everyone else calls her some variant of Elizabeth, giving them even less reason to have not changed it.
To be fair, we just entirely acted off of information obtained solely from Rasputin. It is entirely within Clovis’s character to do this, and everyone was already expecting him to be a traitor, but what if Rasputin is not entirely Rasputin? What if there were bits of him that were infected before being recompiled? Clovis is the only one that could look at his code to be sure everything is in place, ensuring that the Witness did not infect him in some way. Granted it seems likely that Clovis did betray humanity and formed a pact with Xivu Arath prior to us showing up to rescue him. Though, Clovis’s primary motivations have always been furthering his and by extension, humanities abilities, by any means necessary. It could be that the message he sent out was a warning to himself about something else and isn’t referring to us knowing. Not to say Clovis isn’t a horrible human being, but he is Human, and he has always allied with humanity. To be fair though, I thought Clovis was going to go ballistic about the Coalition, and say we shouldn’t be sharing with the Fallen and Cabal factions.
people ignore how strong clovis ai is and how much stuff he has access so on he probably has od back up plans and fail safe I mean dude is a genius lol even if he fail get rasputin now does not mean he cant obtain it later also worst thing is make him enemy which is why ana bray dumb because if he joins darkness side where totally screwed lol
Rasputin said he locked Clovis out by rewriting his security protocols during the Golden Age. Assuming he was being honest, that would mean Clovis didn’t have the ability to alter the AI in question. Plus, considering we do make it to Neo Luma I think it’s a safe enough bet that Rasputin can be trusted. Just have to wait and see what happens next.
When it comes to the traveler, I think Clovis is kinda right
Maybe, but maybe not. The Traveller and Witness seem to both be focused on the flower game their previous iterations (The Gardener and Winnower respectively) played in the Garden before the universe came into existence.
Why was anas initial resolution to this to shoot and destroy her work ? Wouldn’t have harmed clovis and would have just destroyed the exo she made for Rasputin 😂
She's always been impulsive, makes her good at battlefield improvisation. Besides, learning that Clovis was planning to hollow out and inhabit RASPUTIN - the personal connections in play made that news impossible to bear without immediate and decisive action.

So yes clovis is still in that big head in europa. The body was a link kinda like a phone so he can help us. Once rasputin took over the body he cut off clovis' link from it.
It's the latter. The Clovis in the exo frame was just a subroutine that allowed the real Clovis to speak with us remotely. The real Clovis is still on Europa, and with that subroutine gone he's basically stuck there.
I wonder what would happen if Ana ever got her memories back. Or if it’s even possible for her to do so

Jesus. That has to be the most low effort animation/cutscene I've seen in this game, it's like a pair of stickfigures being moved around by a child.
My favourite part is when you look at her face and it's completely expressionless, really sells how little effort was put into this season LMAO

This type pf ingame cutscene’s have never had that amount of dedication.
Also, for someone who is doubting, I don’t blame Ana for not holding her hand canon straight like Cayde did before he got clapped. tbh. That’s actually well done, but yeah, she lacks expressions. Basically anger
