I also don't think Daisuke planned the trans girl thing since the begining, I think it was something he developed over time, but even if I am wrong, the vocal versions of the theme songs were done without Daisuke involved at all and the lyricist didn't had a lot of time or info about the characters to made the lyrics

@L1MB091 He's never been stated to be 12, the only ACTUAL age he's been given is 17 in the guide for Guilty Gear Accent Core. He was likely 12 during the events of GG Missing Link as May was said to be 10-11, and it makes sense seeing as she's 15 as of AC. Please do research, Bridget's my fav character so I pretty much searched high and low for info about him. And he does look male to myself, but one thing is for sure is that he's not 12.
