Theos natural speaking voice is SO DIFFERENT from his characters, not just because of his accent either. Great performances across the board, the cast is amazing.
As much as I loved season 1...season 2 is so above that in terms of intrigue. So many layers to this season. It's a crazy Italian Opera at the highest level. And Andrey Plaza is this seasons standout. Whatever awards she gets for this she deserves.
Show has lot of intrigue value...but the hotel itself is not adding much flavor compared to first season...in first season hotel had a personality of its own and it added lot of its individual flavor to storytelling...in season 2, Cicily is doing that job not the hotel.

Their marriage "works" because they learned how to trade honesty and trust for passion and connection. They pretend everything is fine, and that makes everything seem fine. Versus Ethan and Harper's honest and authentic but lucklaster and bickering relationship. In the end, Ethan and Harper learned a thing or two from Cameron and Daphne, and as twisted as that was, it reignited their marriage and saved it. While Daphne and Cameron did not learn anything from Harper and Ethan's honesty.
For me, Harper is the person who is affected by the news but doesn't make any changes to the world other than become bitter. Where Daphne is more of a delusional type, but they end up in a similar position despite their different approaches.

Daphne is the typical out of touch elite, but not just because she is elite, but because she is more drawn to her own personal problems.
He is so under appreciated, I hope he gets more role off this because he has been amazing in such a none over the top showy way like Tanya for example.
I agree. It’s the kind of role that’s easy to overlook; it’s not as obnoxiously tragic as Coolidge or biting as Plaza. I hope she gets the recognition she deserves.
As for the body in the ocean, I’m guessing the son kills his dad after finding out the dad slept with the girl he’s falling for. He’s so sweet, that would be a twist.
Theo’s not as hot as he used to be. And THANK GOD! Because the hold he used to have over me was just indecent and drove me to distraction. He’s just a British actor now. I can focus solely on his acting and his character, without all the panting and swooning.
A healthy person cannot love their spouse, yet cheat on them. Fear and ego drives those who behave that way. Although couples can help each other to evolve it's not a spouse's role to help their mate mature.
This is the first thing I've seen Theo James in I think and it has ruined him as a person for me! I just can't trust him after playing this man! He's so great in the show though so good on him.
These two were crazy good. I do feel though, that the roles or Daphne and Harper should have been reversed, and Aubrey Plaza should have played Daphne and Meghan Fahy should’ve been Harper
Meghann is doing a fantastic job. She was a highlight this episode. I love the subtle darkness in Daphne

This is really a grownup show. Incredibly crafted and full of nuances. Mike White deserves his recent praise.

It was such a sad story to me because of that. Harper and Ethan betrayed their best selves.
