Well said Anand!😊👍 What you’ve said is analogous to what our founder, 2016 World Champion of Public Speaking, Darren Tay’s core message in this speech of his: ruclips.net/video/M7JOQKzVrgE/видео.html (sometimes, we get to caught up with the ‘red’ and not see beyond that)
The differences between the 1st winner and this lady is that the 1 st winner delivered well and the audience easily understand what he was talking about
I loved her through out the whole video and I'm feeling down because as a 21years old grown up doing master's, I've never spoken like her. But i would like to disagree with the last statement she made about judging a person by his or her abilities. I think everyone don't get the same opportunity and exposure hence they will have different levels of abilities. We as a society need to stop judging people at the first place. Whether it's his ability or disability or struggle or failure, WE NEED TO STOP JUDGING PEOPLE. And I'm not saying this only for this context, but people, in general, need to stop judging. We live in a society where we get judged even when we simply breath and this needs to stop. Anyways, I really like this girl's confidence and I'm truly envious of her.💜
Judging is very fundamental human nature which might never stop however Judging others has good and bad sides. When you make choices based on observing and evaluating other people you are using an important skill. When you judge people from a negative perspective, you are doing it to make yourself feel better and as a result the judgement is likely to be harmful to both of you Do not judge in negative perspective or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. 💜💜💜
@@ztoic7364 True that ! It's just like the difference between healthy competitiveness and jealousy. Judging someone in a negative manner is what needs to stop and nowadays the amount of negative judging is increasing. I hope i conveyed it in the way I think about this topic.

Aren't we anyway discriminating between talented and non-talented ones???and hell I so badly wish had I too been taught public speaking in my school as well...
Judge a person based on his or her ability, not based on one's disability - Wow, nothing else can hit hard to get her point across to the mass. It is not only the presentation or speech that was awesome, but also the contents and the title. My little primary son is a budding orator, story teller who runs an educational youtube channel trying to take more inspirations from inspirational talents like these. Thanks for being there...
Well said Tvisha! 'Special needs' doesn't mean they have no sense of responsibility or doesn't mean that they don't contribute to society. Heck, I've seen 'normal' individuals squander away their talents and parents' resources, becoming trustafarians...while individuals with special needs are still contributing meaningfully to society. Some are even competent coffee makers or baristas at special needs cafe!
Yeah, it's a really good speech, and I understand her drive and enthusiasm to convey this societal issue to her audience, but she does come off as angry. I still really appreciate it though, because it illustrates the problem in a way that I never thought of it before, lol.

stop this grounded thinking. Whenever I speak fluently, some idiot will fly into my face saying, why u not talking like indian bro. Indian english doesnt mean bad english. What do u mean by talking like foreigner? there are tons of accents around the world. Even in india, people from different states will sound different while talking english. Just like no one should question why they speak with an accent that has a local influence, no one should question a seemingly outside influence Also the school she is from, is in Singapore
Actually... Its required to maintain fluency and speed sometimes just as you can't speak hindi in british accent... Sometimes you can't speak English in indian accent it reduces speed and words do not flow to you as well as they do when speaking in an American accent... Just a trick used by many public speakers.
