New series dropping on the Patreon called coconuts kitchen as well as an epic Minifig haul! I do most of my Lego hauls exclusively on Patreon if you want to check them out here is the link: www.patreon.com/user?u=52674170
Holy shit bro, legit just went back to see you doin, and DANG, like DANGGGGG. 40k like every vid. Dude congrats. This is turning into an actual career. Well done brotha 💪
If you want it to keep a good shallow curve and not push too far forward, move the wall in towards the center. That will leave you some space on the sides to put figs and such. Also, your larger sections look good, you could lengthen your sections to even 8 or 10 studs in order to make the front look less flat in front. Looks good overall!!
I like the wall design you ended up going with much better than the one with the interspersed round bricks. Things are coming together! Looking forward to the next update.
At this scale the senate should be practically a flat wall And due to its size your moc shouldn’t even reach the lip of the “mushroom cap” Basically if you want accuracy then a barely perceptible curve on a flat wall would be fine
A wall built by 1x2 and 1x3 bricks would curve quite alot over the span of this moc. Many builders make roads that curve over hills this way. I suppose building the mushroom cap on top of that will be really tricky though. Your solution, which to me look very Coconut-esque, might be the best of two worlds. Best of luck!
If you make the roof, it might help to make it stick out less. If it only overhangs by 6-8 studs it shouldn't put too much stress on the build, and it'll still create the iconic mushroom shape of the Senate building
Looking great! You should only make half of the senate building, and leave the back open so that you can see the whole senate meeting room with all the pods. That would look epic and its easier to build a half dome than a dome.
Really awesome progress this week! I definitely think the wall design with the more realistic look is much better than the one with all the cylinders! Also for the walls of the senate building maybe you could add some lights or grill pieces to represent wall detail because in some of the pictures of the senate building there are some etchings that look similar to that piece.
Really good choice for the rounded senate walls. I think the other one would king of ruin the ambiance of being this supermassive, futuristic building. Keep building!
I think one of my favorite sections of this MOC is the apartment complex. It's just such a cool looking very Star Wars greebly build. Can't wait to see the battle! Again, I'm so happy that in update shots you place minifigs and kind of make miniature scenes for them.
The Senate building seems to come out nicely. I'd suggest building some sort of security checkpoint at the entrances therefore implying a larger interior
Use selective compression. You could scale the building down except for the openings. Make everything 1/100th. It would still be big, but much more manageable and accurate.
I’ve been waiting…a long time for this moment. My little green friend! 😜 Great start to the Senate mate, I think the dbg wall was a good call and the curve works better for that size building. You know you gotta do the roof! 😜 💪💪💪💪
OMG it’s looking absolutely amazing and can’t wait to see the senate building in finale and defo one of the best moc builders on RUclips just now keep up the amazing work man
Gotta say Coconut, I'm loving how the senate looks so far. The walls have a really good curve to them and they're very visually appealing. It's going to look incredible once it all comes together. Keep up the amazing work man
Great update. Love where the MOC is going, just dropping back to this update. Solid Prix gave you a shout out today, on the wall technique, which he's going to use on his caves. Nice touch how you both watch and experiment with each other's MOCs.
I think if you go for an oval shape anyway, then the "castle" curve wall would make more sense and looks better and definitely would be easier to work with if you wish to customize it. You could use a white transparent 1 by 1 element to mimic the windows that you can see on the first picture where you took your idea.
I have an idea on how to inclde the AV-7 to fill the open area in the centre of the steps. Have the gun abandoned and damaged, like it was being used when the Sepratist forces were further away from the Senate, and when it was in range of the Droid canons was taken out before it could be moved. So it could be collapses with it's legs sprawled onto the steps and damaged
i think you should make the senate less round, when its too round its less proportional i my opinion. but you made great progress and the moc looks awesome!!
One recommendation when building tall and wide is less weight on the top so it doesn't topple over. With the huge overhang there should be a counterbalance that way it everything is balanced.
I think the cylinders make it look more like a castle build rather than a smooth industrial construction that the building is in universe. At least for some areas I would use the large flex tube pieces that you can warp into a curve and attach separate panels using plate and tiles with clips onto it to create a curved panel wall. Loved the progress and the more you make progress on this moc the more excited I get to see the end, very nostalgic for that battle scene in 2003 clone wars. Keep up the great work.
Looking great but the senates gonna be a beast to overcome. I would go with the stacked cylinders and big panels for the curved design instead of the type that solidbrix did.
if you have a SSD you should put it under the table for the finale like how in legends the SSD lusankya emerged from the senate district and fled coruscant
Coconut. I just wanna say this looks amazing! The fact from a distance it looks so realistic. I'm so excited to see the finished moc! Also, if you had to be any class of clone trooper what would it be and why?
If you want the wall to look rounder, i would not start it in the corner. If you‘d start it at the side and make the curve way more shallow, it would look like the building is huge but round, as a circle looks flat if its big enough and you are close enough. I don‘t know if i managed to explain it correctly… It would also leave you more space for interiors. And if you would make the doors larger it would make it look like the viewer is closer to the building and depicting a smaller part of the building would fit as the senate is gigantic so it would fit the scale better in my opinion.
In really curius about your approach on building a 3D circular building. I made some kamino platforms for my bad batch shuttle and the obi wan jedi starfighter, and it was hard enough for a 2D circular thing. Cant wait to see it!! I also like your second option for the circular wall better, you can also put some snot bricks in there to add detail to the wall.
You should have put another entrance in between the other two or if you want to keep the 3 doorways then you should wider the doors with an other 4-5 studs at least because looks silly with that huge gap. I would also bring the doors forward with 8-10 studs so the curve could be more like a curve of a round building and not just a curved corner.

This moc series is coming well together!
Keep up the good work!
I looked on Patreon a few days back and wondered what the heck Coconuts kitchen was. 😂 Luckily you explained it on yesterdays livestream.
Holy shit bro, legit just went back to see you doin, and DANG, like DANGGGGG. 40k like every vid. Dude congrats. This is turning into an actual career. Well done brotha 💪

For the roof u may be able to watch richboyjays kamino series. So u can get and idea on how to make the large dome roof
He has some really cool techniques but I am gonna do a plate based roof instead of brick.
You could use a bunch of Duplo with 2x4 bricks on top for some more sturdy supports under the 16x16 plates
I'm not a Duplo guy.
@@coconutbricksstudios fair
Can't wait to see of filled w figures it will be an epic battle
I love your channel I liked and subbed
Welcome.
Nice update this week coconut
The light bluish grey frames for the door were the perfect addition. Great work!
You should check out rich boy jay and look how he did his domes for his Kamino moc and maybe take some inspiration from that.
He does some epic stuff.
I saw finally and thought it said “finale” and I was thinking How long did I sleep 😂
Lol
I like the wall design you ended up going with much better than the one with the interspersed round bricks. Things are coming together! Looking forward to the next update.
Just finished working on it and the taller the building gets the better this design looks!
At this scale the senate should be practically a flat wall

That’s looking incredible!
Thanks.

Every week I look forward to these videos
Love to hear it
Looking great! You should only make half of the senate building, and leave the back open so that you can see the whole senate meeting room with all the pods. That would look epic and its easier to build a half dome than a dome.
I am seriously looking forward to seeing you do this!! 👍👍
Thank you! Hoping to keep the Senate section built and maybe bring it to a convention or two.
I just love your videos, next stream i am going to donate again
Thank you for the donos on the last stream!
Really awesome progress this week! I definitely think the wall design with the more realistic look is much better than the one with all the cylinders! Its nice to see you finally starting to build the senate building
It's about time.
Really good choice for the rounded senate walls. I think the other one would king of ruin the ambiance of being this supermassive, futuristic building. Keep building!
What an update! The Senate building is going to be huge!!
"That's no moon!"
This looks great can’t wait for the finale!
I think the second design of senat is better
I work 12-14 hr shifts 6 days a week and it’s pretty stressful, but I’m always excited to get through the week and watch your videos!
Happy to hear I could help you relax!
this is really looking incredible!
Nice vid
I like the look of the senate building walls, also I enjoy the longer updates
OUTSTANDING update! Great start on the Senate bldg, I really like how the entry doors are designed. Keep pushing, I can see the finish line!
Almost reminds me of a fancy movie theater lol.
I think one of my favorite sections of this MOC is the apartment complex. It's just such a cool looking very Star Wars greebly build. Can't wait to see the battle! Again, I'm so happy that in update shots you place minifigs and kind of make miniature scenes for them.

There hasn’t been this long of a video on a while! So great to see the progress this week!
Longest update ever!
I started watching these a few weeks ago and it’s amazing what people can do with Lego
Thanks for tuning in.
Use selective compression. You could scale the building down except for the openings. Make everything 1/100th. It would still be big, but much more manageable and accurate.
Love your videos man, keep up the hard work!
Thanks for the support.
senate building is gonna be a behemoth, understandable why you saved that section for last haha
I’ve been waiting…a long time for this moment. My little green friend! 😜 Great start to the Senate mate, I think the dbg wall was a good call and the curve works better for that size building.
You know you gotta do the roof! 😜 💪💪💪💪
Oh ya I roof is a must but it will really mess with the proportions of the build but that's a problem for another day haha.
I enjoy longer updates! Also exciting to be starting the senate building and this moc series is getting good.
Loveing it so far
OMG it’s looking absolutely amazing and can’t wait to see the senate building in finale and defo one of the best moc builders on RUclips just now keep up the amazing work man
Much appreciated.
Incredible! All these little details in such big builds are amazing
I like the 1st curve also it would be nice to have a interior instead of a blank wall
Gotta say Coconut, I'm loving how the senate looks so far. The walls have a really good curve to them and they're very visually appealing. It's going to look incredible once it all comes together. Keep up the amazing work man
Thanks I was nervous about combining the flat and curved sides together but everything is blending together nicely.
I’ve just binged watched your entire Coruscant Series and I’m all caught up. Love your building style and I’m excited for the next update 👍
Next. Level. This is amazing, keep it up!
Great update. Love where the MOC is going, just dropping back to this update. Solid Prix gave you a shout out today, on the wall technique, which he's going to use on his caves. Nice touch how you both watch and experiment with each other's MOCs.
Wow looks good
Will you put a coruscant police gunship in the MOC?
Yes.
I think if you go for an oval shape anyway, then the "castle" curve wall would make more sense and looks better and definitely would be easier to work with if you wish to customize it. You could use a white transparent 1 by 1 element to mimic the windows that you can see on the first picture where you took your idea.

Why do you need to build so much
It’s just palpatine
He is the senet😂
*senate
For real though 😆
Let’s gooooo!!!
The design you used on the castle looks best for the senate building.
I would recommend checking out the Senate building in Lego Star Wars the Skywalker Saga for reference.
Fantastic update! Been following along for quite some time and it’s really amazing to see everything coming together!
For the roof you could look into using technic supported angle plates like in the globe set.
I love your builds
I’m so hyped for the senate!
I watching this right now while building a moc lol! Awesome episode! Love the series, you never disappoint!
Damn imagine having to walk that far to get to work
This is a great day!
I love the look of the building and I’m so excited to see the MOC fully completed.
Its finaly happi ng
insane mate, your killin it! its really coming together. I wish i had the money to spend on that many grey tiles! haha
Once I stopped buying sets and Minifigs I had a lot more money freed up for parts!
One recommendation when building tall and wide is less weight on the top so it doesn't topple over. With the huge overhang there should be a counterbalance that way it everything is balanced.
Yay🎉
I think the cylinders make it look more like a castle build rather than a smooth industrial construction that the building is in universe. Awesome update,I would add the pillers inbetween the three door ways
Looking great but the senates gonna be a beast to overcome. I would go with the stacked cylinders and big panels for the curved design instead of the type that solidbrix did.
Glad I went with that option.
This is the best moc ever, ima cry if u take it apart
Me too.
Loving the build :)
The wall is cool it looks sort of realistic
The dark grey curved walls look better because the light grey blends into the outside pavement too much
U could try doing the the wall with 2x2 round bricks to give some cool pillars as well
Yo coconut whats the music playing at 1:20?
if you have a SSD you should put it under the table for the finale like how in legends the SSD lusankya emerged from the senate district and fled coruscant
Coconut. I just wanna say this looks amazing! The fact from a distance it looks so realistic. I'm so excited to see the finished moc!

Where did you get your commander Fordo he is my favourite commander in the entire of the show
You could use 1x1 studs as the windows in the middle of the Senate Building. I think they could give off the right effect.
That's what I was thinking as well.
Would of been so cool if the there was a cutaway of the actual senate section inside:(
It would.
looks sick
I think you should have one opening more forward than the rest to make the flat section still look somewhat curved
Jeez I started on week 7 it's so cool how much progress has been done since then
U can make thecurve for the roof with 4x1 plate hinges and 6x3 wing pieces
For the senate building you should've just set down palpatine
great job man. what if you have a ship crashed in the roof to save parts.
Loved the video coconut
I would use the second technique with the dark grey wall
Based
Do you take apart your mocs when you're done and if you do, what are you gonna do with all those shock troopers?
I do, I might sell some but most I will keep for future mocs.
The next thing he’s going to do he’s Makes the entire planet even the underworld
Maybe for those flat walls you could add snot bricks with the lined 1 x 2 plates (sorry don’t know what they are called).
You should have put another entrance in between the other two or if you want to keep the 3 doorways then you should wider the doors with an other 4-5 studs at least because looks silly with that huge gap. I would also bring the doors forward with 8-10 studs so the curve could be more like a curve of a round building and not just a curved corner.
if your not gonna build an interior in the senat building i would move it way back so the plaza in front get some more breathing room
The larger grey one
The credit card dept is the true villain here lol
