I don't think UCS sets should be bigger than fig scale. Just really detailed and with the correct figs... That gunship has never been for me

Strongly disagree about the bad batch shuttle's color. I think adding some color and life to SW vehicles is always a good thing and we get way too many grey ships. The sand blue is super unique looking, and fairly accurate too. I mean, LEGO makes their snowspeeders white even though the actual ship is grey, but nobody ever complains about it. I do agree that the speeders shouldn't have been included though. The price could've been bumped down to 80 or 90 dollars without them.
I agree. It has the blue tint as if it were in hyperspace.
Why would they add an episode 4 version of Luke? The box art clearly shows the set on Bespin which is not from episode 4. The set wouldn't even need to include a Luke anyways because the minifigures are based off of before the events of the betrayal at cloud city. You can see the Leia in her Hoth appearance rather than her cloud city appearance and both Han and Leia have the breathing mask for when they were in the space slug. In my opinion, the UCS Millennium Falcon is a perfect set.
The set is supposed to be based off of every movie the millennium falcon appears in. That’s why there’s porgs in it

The one small thing I dislike about clone wars sets is that the clones blaster bolts are red instead of blue
The at-st set should’ve been a full at-st but they should’ve had a feature where you could take the top off of the at-st to make it look like it does in the movie. That way you could decide to make it full or make it broken
They could have included head on first order atst and make a playfeature where you blow the head up by yourself if you want

I understand that some UCS sets can't be Minifigure scale (Death star, star destroyer executor) but I feel like most UCS sets should either be as close to Minifigure scale as possible or not at all, for instance the razor crest is a near perfect Minifigure scale ship but then something like the LAAT is so far from being Minifigure scale yet they still have the cockpit fit a figure
UCS sets started as oversized and highly detailed sets, and they will continue to do so. The key part about UCS sets is that they are incredibly well detailed, which is often impossible to get at minifig scale while retaining a sturdy and secure build.
I think the sand blue on the Havoc Marauder is really good mainly because its good to get a star wars set that isn´t just: big gray ship
Anakin’s Y-Wing minifigure selection is 100% completely accurate though, they’re not just throwing in random named characters
Ironically the sticker hallway is 1:1 accurate to the movie sets. The actual hallway scenes swere seperate sets, in the main rooms the hallways were matte paintings. Kinda like how the old Death Star playset had the sticker for the prison cells matte painting.
Another additional issue is that alot of pieces needed for stability would be in the way of hallways.
The Bad Butch shuttle heavily suffers from the fact lego phased out sandblue, itd easily fix the color.
I don't get the gripe with not including Luke in the Falcon. At that point throw in the whole Episode 4 crew. It's clearly Episode 5 and 7 represented. Pretty good video, though 👍
I think they should have included Lando and R2-D2 instead of the random porgs, as both also board the falcon when they escape cloud city
11:55 i dont get why in some ucs sets they put in like 1 or 2 figures. If its a ucs republic gunship there should be 2 pilots and atleast like 5 regular clones to fill it up

The real shame is they didn't make an ATRT to sit in the rear, a lack of crew and infantry is fine, clones aren't hard to get, but an ATRT compatable with the set would be
More than the spider droid, my biggest dissapointment was Commander Cody, dude looks like a normal clone trooper, where is his jetpack? His visor with rangefinder? I wasnt expecting the antenna on his shoulder pad, but no jetpack and forgetable print? Ive havent seen enough people complaining about Cody, and that makes me sad.

I’m guessing the UCS falcon didn’t include Luke because he was never in the falcon in the sequels, and it looks like the mini figs of the OT are based off when they left hoth
I loved the Snub Fighter. Looks super cool, could have some yellow and blue, but design wise, it looks even better than the show original (IMHO).
I have to look at empty gunship, because lego made it bigger than monifugure scale
That’s been the trend for most UCS sets recently. There’s really a limited number of Star Wars ships that they can make into minifigure scale

@fivelonelyclones A recent trend? Mate, UCS sets STARTED as oversized builds. There's literally only been a few minifig scale UCS sets, all of the others are large display models.
if you wanted a smaller gunship that could fit minifigs properly you could have easily got it
I hate the fact that the UCS gunship doesn't have doors that close with the fuselage. it kinda just sticks out there. though there is a Clone Wars conversion mod on rebrickable with the double bay doors. honestly i like that gunship better. but that itches me bad so i didn't buy it
Because it's the live action version of the gunship. In Attack of the Clones qnd Revenge of the Sith, the gunships don't have doors that close all the way, that is exclusively a Clone Wars show feature.

@alexbattaglia8297 So true. Lego Star Wars fans will complain about anything even though they don't actually have a proper understanding of what they're complaining about. Like how they complained about not being able to seat figures in the wing bubbles on the new Coruscant Guard gunship, since you could do that on previous gunship models, even though those are unmanned automated turrets on the actual gunships in-universe.

I’m fine with the color of the bad batch shuttle, yes it may be inaccurate but it is unique and it doesn’t compare to my biggest problem with it: the cockpit is super ugly and very inaccurate, the shaping is so wrong and it kept me from buying it for a long time until it was too late and out of stock everywhere.
Even in the picture you showed of the bad batch shuttle its the exact same blue as the lego model, if they went with grey it would look so so much worse
nah minifig scale Gunship would have ruined it, i love its size and the amount of detail that can be put into it, yeah maybe im crazy but i didnt want it to display minfigs, i wanted it because the Clone Wars were a massive part of my childhood, and i love the design of the gunship
edit: also one of the minifigs not having a tiny print and getting a "generic" clone being the bad thing holy hell

They would have to spend money on molds that they don’t have anymore and they own bricklink and it would crash the market, also Lego investing would be ruined and that’s a big market for Lego as people spend a lot of money on Lego investments

2:46 Its a display Model, not a play set. It shouldn't have even gotten an interior IMO, they couldve used the space for a more stable structure (The structure itself is already OK, I just feel as if the Landing Gear was very poorly designed as it wobbles a lot)
They literally branded it as being 100% accurate to the actual ship. And the interior of the ship is very iconic and that’s what they try to capture in UCS sets
@@fivelonelyclones They never branded it to being 100% accurate. In the instruction manual, it says it's "very accurate", never does it say 100% accurate.
Besides, they couldnt have given it a true 100% scaled interior because the interior of the falcon seen on the movies does not fit with the given dimensions of the outside of the ship. And the build wouldve been extremely delicate and fragile. If it barely holds up with the current structure, I cant imagine how it'd be without it.

For me the UCS Falcon should be on this list because it has the sequel crap. It should have had the full crew of A New Hope. Luke, Han, Leia, Obi-Wan, Chewbacca, C3PO, and R2-D2. They ruined it with the sequel stuff. It would have been a 10/10 set.
0:51 I think the build is actually super inaccurate. If you look at pictures Sentinels online the engines aren’t raised above the haul, they’re level. Plus, the folding wings are supposed to have a bend in them and some cannons and the tip fin is inaccurately shaped.
Well from a builder's point of view who doesn't collect or buy more than a thousand battlepack boxes the Jedi and Clone Trooper Battlepack is a good set after all who wouldn't buy it with 2 exclusive jedis at a low price even though they shouldn't be there But I didn't see all this complaint when lego announced Bounty Huter battlepack since there were 4 minifigures namedne that still worked worse than the Jedi and clone Trooper battlepack well remembered that just my opinion
Bad batch ship is still a good set just the colors are wrong
About the Crab droid I think it would be a good opportunity to include it in a Battlepack of the 212 legion instead of another generic vehicle of the republic

Are people that pressed about 2 inch plastic figures that arent even well designed with half assed printed detail? Sets are literally hated because it isnt satisfying peoples minifig addiction lol. The UCS Gunship is one of the most well engineered lego sets I have every owned but because it only includes 2 minifigs to some its the one of the worst ones. Clearly the set was not meant for minifig collectors and was foucsed towards those like myself who enjoy quality builds. Some of these sets on this list I simpathize with from a builders/modelers perspective pertaining to prices. However, I see the same arguements across all my plastic hobbies of price increases and people whining that they cant buy everything they want because they have to be responsible adults but then proceed to buy the plastic crack anyways. Lego, like every other plastic hobby I own have gained so much demand and interest over the years that increasing prices will always be a thing to counter balance the demand. Its really simple economics. Of course you cant just tell people to stop buying their product thats counter productive. So they just increase the price slightly to push away those on the fence about a set and everyone else either buys or doesnt buy as per usual

THIS HOLY SHIT god like if you buy lego for minifigs good for you, but complaining because a set DESIGNED AROUND A VEHICLE AND ONLY THE VEHICLE isn't "too scale" is so stupid. If it was minifig scale i would have spent far less time building it which means far far less entertainment, i like building lego its why i buy them the fact that i can display an awesomely designed ship from my childhood is a massively added bonus
