Back at school during a couple of home economics lessons we used a similar technique - heated household items to shape petals) Our teacher poured some sand in a pan and we heated spoons in it.
Btw, for all the impatient people that say you talk slowly, well, they can just use this nifty feature increasing the speed of the video. Won't lie, I use it myself from time to time) One's impatience is no excuse to be rude to a creator who likely poured hours of effort into making a video 😑

I say "no" to buying fancy flower tools. Why waste your money when you (1) have things that work and (2) could get more things (i.e., ice cream scoop, large rounded serving spoon) at a thrift store, Dollar Tree, or grocery store? The money you save can go toward more silk! Plus, small pillows can easily be sewn from scraps and then stuffed with scraps, such as the bits from cutting out flower petals. The flowers you made and formed into a corsage are beautiful. I like your hat, speech pattern, and voice too!

Before I had an egg iron, I used a melon baller and ice cream scoop. And thin nose pliers (which I still use). That's actually what my millinery teacher told us to use if we didn't have tools.
One tip - if you can heat the tool over something electrical - a hot plate, or have it touching an iron for a while - it's better. Using an open flame can cause blackening of the tools, which can then transfer to the fabric. Can be a problem if you're using a lighter coloured fabric, so it's worth remembering.

Great commenting, and a nice voice indeed. English is not my first language, but I've got no challenges to understand you what so ever.
My first thought as it comes to the internet trolls is that I feel pity with those having so little to do with their lives. They somehow feel a desire to not appreciate other peoples good work, but rather try to bring it down. What a horrid experience they are turning their lives into - and with apparently no good reason what so ever!
I truly enjoy your videos and I'm learning a lot as I'm having a great time watching! Thank you!

I vote for the .pdf how-to guide another viewer asked for. I also saw the Bernadette Banner flower video and was possessed by a desire to try making them. Can you also share links to the RUclips video tutorials that you found most helpful? Finally: your voice is everything other viewers say it is - informative, calming, but I also really appreciate your precision of speech. Accurate, to the point, no mindless rambling and especially no mumbling! Perhaps you are editing out the complainers from your comment section, but I’m reading through all of the comments most of the time and your followers also seem to be a thoughtful and interesting bunch with valuable things to say. A quality channel all around.

Some sets even come with 2 tsp, half tablespoon, and 2 tablespoon measures (aka a coffee scoop), so if those are useful in you cooking life, you'd have a nice big set of irons to work with.

Oh how fun B. Can you believe that I actually had everything I needed to do this at home. I don't know if I should be elated, or maybe shocked in a hoarder sort of way. But I thought this was an excellent tutorial and the fact that you make it doable without having to collect scads of tools beforehand was great. Love love.

Heartily agree with so many of the comments, your voice is perfect and lovely just as it is. There are so many of the same type of voices out there, it is wonderful to be different. Your voice stands out for it's warmth and yes your speech patterns it's like listening to a friend talk. Thank you for another great video.

I LOVE this video!!!! You using house hold tools is the best part! It is so easy to get into "before I have all the tools I will not start" frame of mind.

I would watch you make flowers all day long-can’t wait to watch the real-time video. And in my opinion, you have a lovely voice.
But seriously, why do some people consider it acceptable to express a negative judgment on someone else’s voice? I’m sorry, didn’t realize the self-appointed voice police were issuing citations!

Thank you! Seeing as M&S Schmalberg silk roses start at 22.00 a piece, if I ever make something, you will have saved me a lot of money. Time... Not so much. But you've got to pay one way or another to be fabulous!

I really enjoy your voice and music choices because I prefer to watch crafting/ sewing videos right before sleep. I finding it soothing/ relaxing but not monotone. Your enunciation is also fantastic so I can lower the volume but still understand you. Plus your creations are totally awesome.

You know, whoever says that you don’t have the most beautiful voice in the world is an idiot. Don’t listen to those people. They just feel ugly and they want to make other people feel ugly. Ignore them listen to me and the others who have left similar messages, you’re fabulous. Your voice is amazing!!!

I enjoy listening to you explain what you are doing, I also like your humor, I don't understand why people can't just leave a video if they don't like the content or the person doing the video. there is no need for people to be rude or disrespectful to others. Is their life so bad, they have to be mean to others. May GOD bless them in their life so they aren't so mean to others.

My daughter- there are people that say they don’t like her (Bianca’s) voice? She has like the best voice ever!
    Me- I know
    Her- the most calming voice
My daughter and I disagree with the voice critics.
ETA- yes I’m here to enable more flower making.

Your flowers turned out so beautiful and if the proper tools save time imagine how amazing it would be to scraps from every project to make matching flowers! Now I want to make flowers too...

I think we used curling irons for making fabric flours when I went to a dressmaking school. I have a vague recollection that they were ok with larger petals. Real tools would deffinitely be a good investment if you enjoyed making these even with everyday household items.
Love your voice and voice overs! Something about your witty humour that shows your intellegance. It is also good to have when writing stories!

@@TheClosetHistorian I think the professional tools would open up to a while new world of flower making! The flower are also something that could potentially be sold on etsy and the tools would start paying their seleves back in small pennies. Good tools are always a joy to a maker!

Oh wow !!! The jewel toned green roses are absolutely stunning. And yes, you have indeed opened the door to a dangerous game, here. I didn't even know I liked to make silk flowers until I watched this video. Now all I can think of is making silk flowers. I don't even sew but I do a lot of craft projects. I make jewelry boxes and I'm thinking of sticking some handmade flowers on them. Thank your for sharing your beautiful creation.
