Brandon’s planning sequels in this world which would be awesome. The ideas in Elantris were original and memorable. Also the Emperor’s Soul was set in the same world different continents. A really dope novella. How cool my much anticipated reads are Brandon’s and yours upcoming releases. The hype train is lit up to a 10! Great review!
Elantris is the only Cosmere book I’ve read so far and I am a huge fan. I must be in for a hell of a treat if this is considered to be one the weakest entries.
@@bookmarkswithjason9445 the emperor's soul is a novella and it expands the world from what was touched in Elantris too! Really makes me want more books there
I loved Elantris and still might be my favorite even though he does get better as an author. I've read up to Warbreaker and I'd definitely say you're in for a treat!
I said this on another video, comparing Brandon's first published book to yours, yours is leagues better IMHO. I really really hope you manage to keep writing books for a long time, because you sir are the most underrated and under appreciated fantasy author going right now, and I'm looking forward to lonesome crown more than lost metal, which is saying a LOT. Much love to you.
Hi Mr Durfee! Today I finished the Forgetting Moon. I will now start the Heart of What was Lost by Tad Williams before reading the Blackest Heart... All before I start reading the Lost Metal.
I recently finished listening to ELANTRIS on audible graphic audio a movie in your mind version, and it really was 1. a great story 2. the audio performance was fantastic, .... I dont know about anybody else but getting the voice of the character for the audiobook plus pronunciations of everything real eases me into the story. I cant reccommend enough to add audiobooks, you can always switch between reading and the audio to fit your needs Graphic audio is spectacular. Really made elantris one of my favorite brandon sanderson books, I read them starting form the thickest to skinnest book, so SA>>Mist>>>elantris , which really made me enjoy Elantris more I think because I had way more reference material from the other stories,
I mean Sanderson is Awesome, but I am excited to get my pre-order of *The Lonesome Crown* Arriving Dec 1, 2022. Glad I stopped to talk with you at the KC Planet Comicon.
I am Ishmael Saeed sending you a very Big HELLO to you Brian from iraq. What do you think of Romance and Romantic novels today? Also, what do think of Ursula Krueger Le Guin's works? Thanks again for your time and your help.
I read maybe the first quarter of this when I was in grad school and can't remember why I stopped (in contradistinction to Mistborn, where I remember exactly why I stopped).
I just bought the era 1 trilogy but I don't have Elantris yet. Would you recommend Elantris first, before E1 trilogy? Great video as usual Brian, thank you.
Elantris, Mistborn Era 1, and Warbreaker are all viable starting points for reading the Cosmere. It doesn’t matter in which order you read these three.
Unpopular opinion: I think Warbreaker and Elamtris were better than Mistborn. Mistborn was good…I enjoyed it, but it’s my least favorite Cosmere property. Perhaps I need to reread them to figure out why everyone gushes about them.
I feel the same though I am biased against Mistborn ATM due to personal things going on while reading it. Elantris and Warbreaker don't get nearly enough love imo.

Brian,
Just finished Forgetting Moon this morning. What a ride! Can’t wait to pick up the Blackest Heart later today.

It is the weakest and it’s great, where are you going next? Mistborn or Stormlight? Or Warbreaker?

Wowowow! I'm just about to read this. Thank you, Durfee! Awesome as always.
Hi 👋 this book was so good Elantris by Brandon Sanderson.. thank you for the review!! 🎥⚔️🎞📽
I'm planning on reading elantris next I can't wait 🙂
I did not enjoy it but it could be because I had read Way of Kings and Mistborn before it.
