Grant’s legacy was put into the rear as they say . He truly was a hero and a great Man . History was written by the south after the war in congress. They made Robert E Lee a National Hero and not Grant as it should have been. I am glad we have this now to celebrate his life. Grant is a legend and May he be smoking a cigar now

I named my son, Grant, after this man.

My dad’s first and middle name was Robert Edward. Robert is a family name, but his middle name was from Robert E. Lee. I never understood why since my grandparents weren’t Robert E. Lee or Civil War aficionados.

Literally came out if no where, a West Point graduate destined to be a clerk in a general store forever.

I grew up not thinking much of him not giving much regard I was taught that he was a drunk, a butcher, & a failed president.
I have since learned that was so far from the truth.
I assume some of this is that the Lost cauze reversing Ronert E Lee require the unfair denigration of Ulysses S Grant

Ok had to stop 42:12 into the video..check this out because well I somewhat enjoy them and want to see what they get right. Grant did not meet Nepoleon the 3rd ...He had died in 1873. When Grant was in DC as president. Sorry I got to point that out...but I do. Just be careful with your history!
