Hey Thanks for watching Tony I have other 100 budget videos to check them out for graded cards the best deal on them is at 4sharpcorners.com about 3 or 4 times a year they will run 15% off
Though I didn't like Beckett getting involved in the grading business - mainly because they produced the monthly price mag's to the masses, I really liked how they broke down things like centering, corners, etc. SCD (Sports Collectors Digest) also gave breakdowns of grading scores. They graded really tough and didn't last that long.
Sweet cards Mark! Sweet pickups all those hall of famers you got for under $100 bucks amazing! Looking at all of these cards just took me into another world! Thanks so much for making this video. I like what you said about the Vladimir! Totally underrated card. I remember I pulled one when they were new totally didn't know much about him at that time. I used to buy packs of these at the Midwest League Peoria Chiefs games back in the day. Those were great packs. I think I was more excited about Bobby Bonds Jr. out of that set, initially when he played for the Waterloo Diamondbacks! LOL! I didn't know how cool that Vlad card would become!
Great lot for the price, I remember selling a lot of those cards in 91 when I lived in Florida for big bucks! Frank Thomas was huge!! Thanks for the upload!
would you say for people who want to collect hall of famers or players that should be in the hall that Mussina is one of the most affordable? which players would you recemmond Mussina, Mauer, Smoltz, Molina, Chipper , Ivan Rodriguez, Pedro Martinez ? would you say Frank Thomas cards are affordable like Mussina and Mauer or expensive like Henderson and Brett?
Yupp, I got almost the same players but different brands. I got the piazza bowman. The jeter pinnacle, the chipper UD, the Bagwell stadium club, the frank thomas leaf. Great cards
Great cards for the $100. I like the content of ur channel. First time I’ve watched ur vids. Hey Mark so will you do something similar with 80’s cards ($200 maybe) challenge? Also, which grading company is best and can you list them based on your preference? Final question, do u see 80’s n 90’s cards going up much over the next 10-20 years or staying put?
Great questions Jeff I do have a 100 budget video for the 1980's rookie cards here is the link ruclips.net/video/qADRb3aD7qc/видео.html I have several other videos with 1980's rookie cards also I love 1980's rookie cards. I really like PSA for graded cards then SCG then Beckett the PSA graded cards are worth a little more than SGC and Beckett. I do think the value for 1980's rookie cards will go up and they have already gone up w little just in the last 3 years 1 I am not sure what the cards from the 1990's will do. the best website for buying graded cards is 4sharpcorners.com they have great deals thanks for watching
Awesome cards man! The 90s are definitely the next big collecting phase for the hobby in the next few years especially with more and more of these guys going into the hall
Fun thoughts. Not sure where to go with him. I hope he gets in. Some guys that make it i scratch my head. Other players who should be in will never even see the door. Who Knows. Enjoyed the stats and facts though,
Rarity and demand create wealth...SINCE the early 70s cards are not rare and demand has BEEN declining.....yeah there is value there for storing and preserving these cards for 30 to 50 years but only about enough for a weekend vacation
Awesome Video Mark! You did well on your $100 budget challenge. Great players and definitely all hall of famers. I enjoy watching all play and miss a few! 👍🏼
Some sweet graded rookies there...I have been purchasing some psa graded rookies recently from the 90's as well. Awesome that you picked a budget and stayed under it.
Thanks Hunter they are hard to do because I have to wait until I get all of them in before I can open them I will do another one Are you ready for the Fantasy Baseball Draft on Saturday night
Just stumbled across this channel. Nice stuff man! I'm a KY native and collector as well! I started collecting when I was a kid in the early 90's. The Big Hurt was and still is a PC of mine. Great video man!
@@MarkfromKy I was born in Bowling Green but lived in Madisonville for most of my life. I live in south GA now amongst all these Bulldog fans. Still wear my UK stuff though lol

I really appreciate your package and I'm in the process of getting my other channel and stuff posted. I really thank God for good people like you helping people out...
Seems like I end up watching this video once a year as I just noticed a few previous comments from me. Still a great way to spend $100, even if it would cost a bit more today.
Decent haul for such little money! The Piazza card used to be worth more. Shame its value has decreased! 92 Bowman is one of my favorite sets in the modern era second to 93UDSP.
On these new cards, they should be graded minimum of 9....get 10's ...they will be the only cards that will increase in value......too many new cards on the market.
This is the second $100 budget video that I have made and I will make more so I guess you could say it is a series they do take time it took me 2 months to buy the cards you really have to shop around to get the best deals the goal when I make them is to buy 10 graded cards for $100 Thanks for watching
Thanks for watching I felt like a dumb ass when I realized that the Bowman card was not his rookie but Oh well still a nice card thanks again for watching and leaving a comment
Just subscribed...I'm wanting a Aaron judge Topps chrome...know we're to get one at a descent prise?... Great cards great video...looking forward to watching some of ur other ones
Thanks Ray I really wanted a Adrian Beltre but they were just to much money I could not find one cheap good point Carlos Beltran and Jimmy Rollins both could end up in the Hall
can't STAND PSA grading do they just never give out 10s???? They must use some electron microscope and one fiber on the card is out of place or on the edges and down grade to a 7
He got 51.8% of the vote last year and had 270 career wins during the steroid era and he pitched in small parks I think he will eventually get in thanks for watching and leaving a comment it is fun to see other peoples opinion
Mark, in 1978 in L.A. I bought a mint (only touched twice) 1975 set for $65. Not 1 is O/C. Need $ for cancer treatments. Please email me ASAP. Also a few Brooklyn Dodgers stuff. & the 1919 blacksox w/Shoeless Joe newspaper.
Mark, I've been dealing with graded cards for years, I'm sure you already know this but these newer cards will only hold their value in a PSA or BGS Mint 9 or better, I've got the 76 Walter Payton and the 1980-81 Larry Bird in BVG 8 but older cards do well graded. I personally would rather do only like 8 of those in Mint for $100 to insure they would hold their value, but hey that's just me, but I buy and sell .
I agree 9’s will hold value better for sure but I only collect I don’t sell them if I can get a good looking card in an 8 and save money versus a 9 that is what I usually do thanks for watching
If you sign up with them and get a platinum membership the cost is 250 when you do that you get 15 Submissions The 149 membership you get 6 submissions
Just pick a grading company PSA SGC or Beckett I like PSA the best go-to their website when you signup and pay for a year subscription I think you get lie 10-15 free submissions. I have not sent any of my cards out for grading it can get pretty expensive so I usually just buy the cards I want already graded thanks for watching
I got yours ready today I will put it in the mail tomorrow on my lunch break I sent you the Chipper cards and a bunch of Braves cards I think you will be happy
Wake me when we get there Huh hey so I’m curious why you say that? It’s an interesting point to make. Grading cards definitely changed the card collecting world no doubt. For better or worse.
I agree. The market seems to be regulated by this ridiculous standard now so you can't just own the card you need a 3rd party to place its stamp of approval and take money from you in the process. I grade my own cards with my eyes.
My is mark in north Caroline I have so many card from 1960s up to 1993 Topps Donruss upper decks just so many of them lots of rookie cards 19 player cards like you talking about ungraded and put them 50 years time to sell them you get time hit me back up I'll send you some pictures or whatever
Thought it costs 10.00 to grade them, the grading companiy is the only ones making profit if they dont increase...the original PERSON would have spent even more to get a 9 or 10, so this guy is just proving it's better to use your money to buy this versus old packs etc. Which will cost more . And then only if they dont decrease or stay the same..however it could fall in he category of wealth preservation as a no loss no gain is not the worst thing I guess as long as 10 dollars today equal whatever 10 dollars is in the future adjusted for actual buying power is.
I agree most cards it is cheaper to buy them graded but in some cases, with vintage cards it is cheaper to buy them raw and then get them graded Thanks for watching

It tool me a while to find these cards that cheap some of them do go for more money now, yes it does cost quite a bit to get a card graded if you are a PSA member it runs about 10 bucks per card if you or if you send in a big submission like 500 cards it goes down to around 8 bucks a card so some collectors get together and do big group submissions I have never sent in a card for grading. you can find great deal's on graded cards at www.4sharpcorners.com
