I have the Giger Maquette and love it. It’s an imposing figure especially with the included cabinet. People say it lacks paint app. Have you seen the suit at the Giger Museum? This Maquette is an exact replica of that...it’s not a movie Alien, it’s a replica of the original suit.
The Predator hound is also done by ADI which is a concept maquette type of piece I personally like the open mouth head sculpt because it looks more menacing. The Fugitive and Wolf Predators I feel are based on the old Jungle Hunter life size bust design from Sideshow back in the early 2000's.
I totally agree with you. The sculpts lack detail and the paint doesn't have any depth. The Prime 1 Preds and Aliens look fantastic, and I was also impressed with the Infinity Studio Predators.

Great video, I'm really debating whether or not to purchase the Alien Queen Bust. Looks awesome but I've only ever just seen the production photo's of it on Sideshow. I don't know much about Cool Prop's but I've heard that there quality can be questioned at times. Could you give me more of your opinion on the Alien Queen Bust? Is it worth a buy? She looks a little too blue in the production photo's but very promising piece nonetheless in my opinion.
I pre ordered the wolf bust at the end of last year. Seeing all the negative comments is worrying. I'm hoping it's going to be good because I know from experience that filming or taking pictures doesn't always do these things justice. It's better in hand. I really am holding out for this to be good!
I think it might depend on how picky a collector you are. I get to see a lot of statues and busts, and I'm also a Predator and Alien collector myself so I have fairly high standards. I'll be honest that I would not personally buy this. Especially for the price. But I'm sure you can return it if you aren't satisfied. I am hoping that Prime 1 will do busts of the Wolf, P1, P2 etc. Because their Fugitive Predator bust was absolutely incredible quality. I have a video up of the Prime 1 Fugitive bust if you want something to compare this to.
@@MrDravenLee The Prime 1 Fugitive bust is $1599. There is also a Deluxe version that comes with an extra battle damaged mask that is $1899, but I don't think the extra mask is necessary. I'm really hoping that Prime 1 might reveal some more busts later this year. I know they have been working on some new Predator items, but I don't know what they are yet. I would love them to do a Jungle Hunter and a Wolf bust.
I watched this video about 10 times trying to decide to get the Queen bust or the 1:3 Giger. The Queen bust was just to big and I really didn’t like the paint so I went with the Giger. It’ll also look better with my P1/Coolprops Dog Alien.
I think you made the right choice. The sculpt on the Queen is very nice, but it is HUGE and the paint is lacking. The Giger is a great representation of the original suit and looks really nice as a museum display piece.
Overall great sculp' s, concept best of the Peds... Aliens heads anyone would be a special add to any collection. ...Sisko/ or anyone a question if one was looking to get any sculp produced in just the clay would you have any idea what that would cost if commissioned ?
Do you mean sculpted and produced from scratch? Probably about $5000 or more for a sculpt I've heard. This type of product in the video that are produced in limited runs are more like $1000-$2000.
Yeh had an idea they would be in that range , been looking for a one off commission and was quoted € 3,000, fully understand why TBH either have to win loto or learn the art of 3D zebrush , Sculpting , ect i do a little but those standards are out the park ... out of all so far think the Batman Shogun/ samurai is my Fav ! + Batman Zero .... but they all have their own status! ... and thank you for bringing these to our attention Sisko.
Yeah, I have to agree. I really loved the sculpt of the Queen bust, but the finish looked very much like plastic. To be honest I find this to be the case with most of the things Coolprops makes.
You made me laughed when you said the Wolf bust looked like a soft sculpt you mean cheap lol. This bust could have been awesome but once again Coolprops have tried doing it on the cheap, the dreads are awful and part of the mould. They should be separate from the main bust and the paint job looks terrible for a prototype. A very easy pass. Sideshow still rules when it comes to the life size Wolf bust even with its flaws. Great review.
Haha, yeah that is basically what I meant. They look a lot like they are made out of vinyl and it causes a loss of detail. The Sideshow Wolf is great, and the Prime 1 Fugitive Predator bust is amazing as well.
got the 1/3 queen bust today... bad..just BAD...a lot of qc issues... lazy sloppy paintjob..for the price tag worst collectible i ever got..and i own a ton of these lifesize busts

Honestly coolprops just look rough. Paint is sloppy and pose/sculp is just dull. Prime1 is just the only way to go atm.

The Pred heads were not aggressive enough in sculpt especially the Wolf compared to sideshow but, those Aliens were rocking!!)))

I'm not keen on the paint apps on these pred pieces but the Alien Queen bust looks good, not keen on the other alien ones though.
I do agree the paint could be improved on the Predator busts. The Queen is my favorite out of their Alien pieces as well.
