I'd love to interview this guy. Letting people, and particularly kids, know that Sadness is important and that complex emotions are healthy is really important, and I'm so glad a studio as influential as influential as Pixar tackled this subject. Probably my favorite Pixar movie now.

It was a stroke of genius to keep Bing Bong away from audiences until they actually see the film. The emotional punch of knowing him briefly and then letting him go pays off beautifully.

Pete Doctor: Monsters Inc, Up, Inside Out
    Andrew Stanton: Finding Nemo, Wall•E
    Brad Bird: The Incredibles, Ratatouille
Lee Unkrich: Toy Story 3, Coco
Note to Pixar, when you got a film coming up let one of these direct it...

He was one of the original story writers on Toy Story along with Lasseter, Finding Nemo and Wall E director Andrew Stanton, and the late Joe Ranft. Also Supervising Animator.

anxiety! (coincidentally lmao. they probably didn’t think about anxiety as a character back when inside out was made but i find it so funny)
