Shure SRH440 SRH840 headband replacement, repair

My experience in replacing headband for the Shure SRH440 headphones, that I got from a friend (who tried to unsuccessfully glue the living hell out of them, ergo some glue marks on ear pads). I've searched ebay and found nothing at all. There was only one store that sells replacement pieces for these headphones on AliExpress but with zero reviews and I bought one of them. I was able to replace the headband on my Shure SRH840 headphones with the replacement from AliExpress, with the help of this video. It wasn't hard to do. The new headband is a big improvement over the broken original version.

2 years ago I buy this shure the the headband cracked and today I have to buy the audio technical m20 for the work but naaahh I have to repair the shure for sure , have better frequency and power etc

Just a heads up for all those looking for Ali express headbands for Shure srh440 and 840. The MDR7506 headband fits much better.

Thanks for sharing this. I really like my srh 440s, but the folding joint is damaged. The headband replacement may be worthwhile.

Are the replacement headbands designed for the SHRH440's or are they separately designed, so it's like a mod?

I've seen similar headbands for other headphones and I don't think they disigned specifically for SRH440 and 840. But I don't know for sure

The one that I repaired in this video works fine. Still they've should probably use a thicker wire

It probably is, but I have only SRH 440. I can measure it though to see if it's going to fit
