I remember these phones. Back then if you had front and back cameras on your phone you were cool and rich person. In 2007 when i had my first Motorola flip phone it didn’t have any cameras at all. It was really exciting when i had my first phone. Then I got Sony Ericsson. Now I have iPhone 12 Pro Max. I can’t believe how time flies.

Well actually it was more to protect the camera from scratches and damage. The Zeiss lenses were a real big deal back then and it mattered a lot to protect that glass. Privacy was a bonus of having a cover.
Nokia had many features way ahead of its time like the HDMI port in Nokia N8 when many Television sets didn't have HDMI Ports... Nokia was the king of Innovation... Every model of Nokia was unique... nowadays all smartphones look alike and hardly last 5 years when compared to the still running Nokia mobiles for 10+ years.❤️
Zeiss lens on its camera was capable of producing very good details even with a 3 mp sensor. The cooler part was the automatic ND filter in front of the camera lens, Nokia made some of the best camera phones of their era

Not really. The rich use to grab the communicators, Nokia n-95and Sony Ericsson p900 series back than. This was for the middle class folks to be honest. And nokia came up with Xpress music series for the college going kids back in the day, who wanted to listen music on their phone. Another thing i remember about this phone is how buggy and laggy the OS became after a certain amount of time. But an average phone none the less.
It might be a 12 but theres a cover on so its hard to see if the edges are square. Either way it really shows how far we’ve come. Really excited to see the next few years of technology
I LOVED that phone! It could've been modded, It had a bomb rear camera, internet, complex OS, you could also use it as a boom box - it had STEREO speakers for crying out loud! It also had the most important thing - character. It was such a like-able phone. I may have been a teen back then, but I absolutely loved it. It was one of the best devices I've ever had. Might buy it a new battery and keep it as a "retro" gadget in the house.
