Winter fishing at Lake Powell, late January 2021. Received reports of Stripers in super shallow water chasing shad, sure enough lots of good sized Stripers were chasing shad in up to less than a foot of water early in the morning. Two of us fishing caught about 20 or so in a couple of hours. We watched for the fish busting on top or the seagulls diving for shad. Not the fastest fishing at Powell but hard to beat that kind of action for January fishing in Utah.

Oh heck yeah! Some good lunch time fishing porn to watch. It's common to see everyone going deep and jigging for stripers during winter months but you guys rocked them in the shallows. How cool is that?! I need to get down there again. It's been way too long. You guys need to do a video where you use the weirdest lures you can find to see if you can catch stripers or do a progressive challenge where everyone has the same lures set up on different rods. Once you catch a fish, you move up to the next lure, and so on and so on until the last lure catches a fish and it's reeled in. Winner gets to gas up the boat. Let me know when you've got an empty spot on the boat. Can't wait for the next video.

You using a fish finder when you're out?
Yes in the winter it is vital in finding fish. Spring time, not so much.
