I just skimmed through this video, but you have defintely established a very interesting, eclectic, Tim Burton aethetic with your art and everything surrounding you in this video.
I am so excited to sign up for the class and learn how to create magical beings out of paper! I have been experimenting with traditional papier mache recently and came across your videos. Wow! You are truly a paper magician! Thank you for sharing your secrets!
This is actually very helpful I have been making furniture out of cardboard and I was looking for a way to add more layers but this tiny layers as I have some jewelry boxes shapes like Bombay dressers that I needed to cover with something so paper would glue would be perfect
Sweet nd lovely, as always! I'd like to see how do you reach the "fur" effect with the murberry paper. It's amazing! Do you use wood glue for it? (It can be an interesting subject for a future video!) :D Thanks for sharing so much art and beauty with us! :D
+LeloCarbone thank you , actually the mulberry paper will be next topic of this series ! you are reading my mind ! No I don't use wood glue for my fur effect , but I use it for almost everything else .
+Merveilles Enpapier Im planning to take the online course and looking to buy the " wood glue" any particular brand that you're familiar with in the USA? Gorilla glue? Love your stunning work !
Hi Laetitia, I looking for advice for my very small project and I would really appreciate your help. I am a magician and often have to carry a deck of cards in my pants pocket. This unfortunately warps the cards and limits versatility (even though 52 cards and the box are made of thick cardstock). Card case options in the market are either too big to fit in pants pocket or too small for the varying sizes of decks I carry. I am thinking about making a card box with paper and harden it somehow. For all of my experience handling paper whether in magic or in origami, I have no idea of how to harden paper. I saw your video on wood glue. Would you recommend it for me? Is it strong enough not to bend in tight pockets? The wooden glue at my craft store is advertised to be stronger than wood. If the product is as strong as ice cream sticks or stronger, that would be perfect. Thank you for your help.
I ve never used wodglue for this specific purpose but I guess it could help now it might change the glossy loook of them , for your project you really have to experiment as it might alter the cards and make yur task more complicate to manipulate them maybe , I honestly don't know, but woodglue sure make paper thicker and will bend less once dry sure woodglue is limpossible to bend , teh way I use it would make it impossible to bend , but I use it with ktaft and mulberry paper mainly not cards, anyway good luck with your experiments !
Not sure I understand your question, mulberry paper is af paper I use in my Art. It is a paper sold in art and craft store made with fibers coming from Asia. It can be called sometimes with other names depending on brands and countries.
The wood glue we use is easily found here and is the same as linked in your workshops. However, it has a beige / yellow tint to it. I would love to find white translucent wood glue like you use. Ill have to research this.
if you are in the workshops you know in thefacebook groups you can ask to the other apprentices magicians what sort of glue they use in your country , they use many different brands ,online or in store around them there are similar option in which workshop you are ?
+Judy Rankine The french best brand of Wood glue is this one www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B00KTDEXMO?keywords=colle%20sader&qid=1445964947&ref_=sr_1_23&sr=8-23 though I personnaly prefet a supermarket Brand on Amazon Uk I found those ones which look similar , but I didn't test them though but i would recommend to go in a D; I Y shop in your area you may find local brands which work just as well perhaps less expensive ,wihtout paying the shipping , you only need a white woodglue ask someone in the shop , it's really easy to find Gorilla 532 ml Wood Glue or this one SupaDec Weatherproof Wood Glue 125ml But I assume there are thousands brands which would do the job perfectly :) Hope it helps.

Is this a specific "brand" called Woodglue or is it just any kind of white wood glue? I checked on Amazon and they did not have any called Woodglue.
