This song is one of my top 10 BTS songs. The way it just squeezes my heart everytime I listen to it, and calms me down and makes me sad and makes me happy,all at the same time. The the vocals, the drums, the other instruments, the emotions they put into it. The song talks to my soul. It affects me too damn deeply. I feel like I am holding on to their love even more strongly whenever I listen to this song. It sometimes really scares me. The complete beauty of this song can be understood only by an ARMY. The level of soulful intimacy in the song and that sense of something celestial, like it's destiny....it's a strangely powerful and exquisite impact that the song has on ARMYs.

When I first listened to this song, I was sure it is gonna be instant classic. Song itself had nothing that is standing out, instead it had good atmosphere and emotional voices and harmony between them that leaves you very satisfied, and because of that you will never gonna be tired of listening to it. It is just really pleasant to listen to. Songs like this stays in playlists for ages when bops you were listening too, keeps being replaced by new ones. It is new song, but because newest BTS music plays in my house and work almost 24/7, I heard it at least 100 times already, and where other songs new shine diminished pretty quickly, every time this song starts playing I smile, "Oh it is this song. Nice." I don't think this is record, that anyone would actually hate. I actually like it more than "Lights". 💜
I've been playing the BTS world game everyday and I've heard this song a lot in the game but I've never felt bored of it so it does serve it's purpose as an ost and the lyrics, even if don't understand korean, I know what they're saying in a particular part of the song because I've memorized the English translations and I love it so far.
Jimin also stood out to this song, his amazing highnote at the latter part was really smooth and he's voice at the chorus sounds very alluring, he even did a perfect harmonizing in some parts.
i frigging cried listening to this song as soon as it came out..without having any translation..but the emotions through all the vocal...makes me cried bcos i know the hardship..the journey they had to face to get to where they r now..😭😭😭..thanks jino...
And to think it's for a game 😂 i usually don't love the poppy sounding BTS but I really liked this. I've noticed that when you call out autotune or don't differentiate between their voices it's because they're harmonizing in the background. Sometimes they do some mixing on the background vocals that get the untrained ARMY confused, they even use hobi for that and it really changes the way the main vocal ends up sounding like. I think the vocalists (except Tae) have quite a similar tone, especially in their higher register, so when their voices blend it's hard to tell them apart if you're not familiar with them. And that's my opinion on that lol
I agree. Some non-ARMYs tend to say like "oh, that member stood out" when the parts they liked weren't really that member's part, or sometimes it's 2~3 members harmonizing together. What i see the most is people thinking the high notes (on various songs) are Jungkook's or Jin's when it's Jimin's or Taehyung's
I love the transitions in the MV so much.. They really gave it as a tribute and love.. BTS music shows their sincerity towards their art.. they really give 200% to everything because they feel like they own it their music and fans..
Thank you for reaction to this. I really like the song for their vocals and calming feeling. The MV had very pretty elements added the planets, stars in the galaxy, and feeling very cinematic. There is also symbolism in some of the visuals that reference some of their songs like the whale for Whalien 52 or shots of the dessert that parallel the ocean like the song Sea or just how the stage of army bombs turns into stars that are in the galaxy.
i agree it is a very simple song but you have got to remember that so many of great songs are really simple.take bad guy by billy elilsh for an example so simple yet it gets stuck in your head.
I’ve introduced (converted) at least a dozen people to BTS and it’s easy to do because there’s something for everyone. I pick the intro song based on what I know of the person. Idol works for people who enjoy the African vibes. The video is A LOT, but their live performances of it are all amazing.
i'm not often a fan of songs like this and i tend to favor the rap line, but the first verse of this song has me feeling some sort of way. it's very well written and suits v and jungkook perfectly. i almost wish the opening melody was repeated more, but then again, part of why i love it is probably because it is so brief.

I totally agree with Idol not being the best song to start off with. I know when I was just getting to know the group I would watch other people react to it and there generally were two opinions on it. People either loved it or hated it due to the chaotic "let's include everything along with the kitchen sink". When I first heard the song and watched the MV I got really emotional since I can't imagine a place right now without the boys and the positive impact they've made on me along with millions of other people.
I started with IDOL, it was unique, strange, the style of music, the beat, the dancing and the rapping. It was new to me and I loved it. That day I found Bighit's channel and I binged watched all their top MVs. Then RUclips recommended BTS' dance practice and I freaked out, and then I googled all the members and learn their faces and name. The next week, I was watching a gamer channel and they advertised Vlive with BTS on it .... from then then on I was obsessed. 💜😊 I'm so happy to be ARMY.
This is probably my favorite from all the OST releases. It’s so pretty and immediately grabs my heart. Combined with the video, it’s a killer combo. All Night is my 2nd and I didn’t like Dream Glow or A Brand New Day until multiple exposures. I am always amused at how different our grading is re: BTS songs. I do agree that it isn’t anything unique or standout. But it’s beautiful. Totally agree that IDOL is not a good intro song. I remember being very WTF about it at first and I was already a fan. For me, What makes this song sound so calm is because of Jungkook he knows how to harmonized without trying to overtake the part of the song but to add emotion to it thus makes it easy to hear.. . And he has a great control of his voice
True. Upon first listen, I didn’t quite get into it or register it. But after the second listen, it finally sank in and now I love it! It’s one of those songs for me, it takes a few listens to sink in but once it does, it goes on repeat.😂

Only a few years ago they were asked what they were most likely to be if they hadn't chosen to be in BTS. Now they made a whole video about it. These lyrics and the beautiful visuals representing us Army in the music video have tears streaming down my cheeks. I'm still surprised at how they managed to make eleven full songs for this album is such a short period. I can't imagine all the work, with the different artists that must have been going on behind of the scenes. I have a really old smartphone on which I unfortunately can't download the game, that's why I haven't paid much attention to all the details, but the fact that they have given us this in such a short time... Comments I once read really are true: 'BTS has much wide variety of content coming out all year through, Army's are being constantly entertained that there really is no time or opportunity of ever falling out of the fandom'. Big Hit is doing a great job, though personally I really wouldn't mind it of the boys took longer breaks. But of course, none of that is up to us. Once again, I'm just very grateful for them. There is no way of telling what the future will hold with Big Hit and BTS. I'm a well-fed and proud fan.

A Brand New Day is my favorite, and this is second. But this MV is one of my favorite BTS MVs, because the song with the visuals and art direction is outstanding.

When I've watched 1st time reactors it depends on their taste in music, but the songs I've noticed usually pull them in and make them pay attention will either be, mic drop and dope or cypher 4 live or cypher medleys live.
i think it's a simple song that gets special by the listeners' own experience with the message/bts. like so many bts songs i feel like this is aimed at to tug at fan's heartstrings about fans finding bts, bts finding each other and our interconnected relationships. so it gets special through that kind of "how army experience this song". when i first listened to just the audio on spotify i was like.. oh okay this is really nice but that was it, like your opinion. then i listened to it while watching the mv/reading lyrics and i was like.. oh. oh i'm feeling things. and i got attached.

At the time of IDOL, when so many new people were checking out BTS for the first time, I was saying that it was the wrong song to dive into BTS. If new listeners could buy into the festival vibe of IDOL, then it was fine, but for those that were seeing the video many were just so confused by it that it possibly distracted them from the song.

It’s always good to hear how your thoughts evolve on songs and how your opinion changes. My first thoughts on heartbeat OST on BTS world was that it was boringly average. But it’s an easy listen and grew on me. 🤧
I love this song! Its just so good as a pop song. I just want to have it on repeat, which is great because you listen to it in the game.

HEARTBEAT, now one of my very favorite songs. I listen to it on a loop. Yes, it's a very emotional song because we (ARMY) have a very emotional connection with each member. You might say " What? You don't really know them" Well, that's partly true. But, they have shared so much of themselves these past six years. We have cried when they cry and celebrated their victories with them. RM has said BTS is ARMY and ARMY is BTS. It's really a love story. And, OMG! V's beginning is soooooo much. His soft, sultry vocals just set the tone.
Well, I could go on and on BUT, I see you are falling asleep. Yeah, I started crying while watching you listen to it. I read on the comments that many were crying with me.

he thought it was jin because in the mv they showed jin face not because they sound the same.

When I've watched 1st time reactors it depends on their taste in music, but the songs I've noticed usually pull them in and make them pay attention will either be, mic drop and dope or cypher 4 live or cypher medleys live.
i think it's a simple song that gets special by the listeners' own experience with the message/bts. like so many bts songs i feel like this is aimed at to tug at fan's heartstrings about fans finding bts, bts finding each other and our interconnected relationships. so it gets special through that kind of "how army experience this song". when i first listened to just the audio on spotify i was like.. oh okay this is really nice but that was it, like your opinion. then i listened to it while watching the mv/reading lyrics and i was like.. oh. oh i'm feeling things. and i got attached.

At the time of IDOL, when so many new people were checking out BTS for the first time, I was saying that it was the wrong song to dive into BTS. If new listeners could buy into the festival vibe of IDOL, then it was fine, but for those that were seeing the video many were just so confused by it that it possibly distracted them from the song.

personally i love dream glow, so my opinion would be different and it does deserve to be in the album because all four of the songs give off different vibes so there's a variety of genres and i love all of them but listen to different songs depending on the mood
it did feel a bit too repettive with the lyrics and tun but its simple and nice
i forgot to mention but i really liked rm's rap, that stood out to me a lot, and jimins high note near the ending was really good and i cant forget the taekook harmonisation, they really should have a subunit together

Yeah it was called GLOW. She met bts,gave it to them,and the members changed the meaning of the song
She gave the song first to Jimin.. then Jimin let them took the song for the game.
It doesn't matter what BTS song Jungkook voice is what I always notice the most and I enjoy his singing a lot
The first song that I listened from them was Mic Drop, but the first song that I really fell in LOVE with the boys was Blood Sweat and tears.
