We made a mistake here: St. George's Cathedral is no longer the tallest wooden church in the world anymore. Also, Sir Walter Raleigh was never imprisoned in Guyana, and his remains are not in the Guyana National Museum.

Please add the town of Linden to this list. It is Guyana's second largest town and there are several tours operating there. There are the Hiking tour, the Kayaking tour and another tour around the town to visit historical sites.

Hmm, safety is relative. I walked around Georgetown alone and I felt okay, but then there are reports of it being unsafe.

Guyana is not a city, so it's not fair to label the entire country like this. It may not be the cleanest place, but there are beautiful regions too - just like every country in the world.
