Okay, I am going to need you to get right off my back about that.
Yeah yeah yeah!
Honestly watching your progress on this is so satisfying when you have that moment of "wow it works"
Once he gets the electrician out to prevent a FIRE, he should also get an Uninterruptible Power Supply, to protect his computer from power hits and surges.
Can't wait for the MMX to be done. Seeing it come to life is amazing. 😀
IT’S GETTING SO CLOSE! I am so excited for this. You can do it, MMX team!
THIS IS INCREDIBLE!
The way the kick drum bounces every strike is so satisfying.
Thank you for sharing this journey with us
random guy: what instrument are you playing?
Martin: brushless motor
I'm playing the start button :(
That's actually exceedingly common already. The windings of a brushless vibrate if it's fed with an audible-range frequency, so brushless controllers often "beep" out a code of their state as a short sequence of tones, played by nothing but the motor windings themselves.
There is no doubt in my mind.... you are making a masterpiece! Thanks for the continued sharing of your building of the Marble Machine X.
1) this machine is literally 0.005 milliseconds out of synch so I need to adjust it... 2) with this bit of wire I found on the bench I can see the heights of the marble drop are exactly the same... 🤣
I don't have a musical bone in my body, and I can't hear any difference between these scenarios! They all sound fantastic to me, and I'm excited that this project continues to move forward! I know Martin is eager to have it completed, but I have thoroughly enjoyed the entire process.
As an American, seeing the comma in the number under the metronome at 11:20 almost made me think he was going to try for one hundred and twenty THOUSAND BPM. I'm glad that was immediately cleared up.
That would just be shitting a stream of marbles, would be insane.
I am really looking forward to seeing the Marble Machine X playing. I have watched since you put out your first Marble Machine video. Your mind is truly amazing to have conceived of all of this. I believe even Leonardo Da Vinci would be blown away.
16:30 "Oh! I'm hearing it sparkling" XD
Martin, this is awesome. What a huge milestone! By the end of the video I was grinning like a madman. The world needs some joyful news, and joyful music. Thank you for providing that.
At this point it feels like MMX is an analog version of Ableton and FL studio
Lmao
Who needs fl when you have a big machine
Well it is a sequencer.
...and Project Binky ;)
fl studio, wow what an insult....;(
That moment you just can´t help yourself and keep smiling for 2 minutes straight while a high-hat beat is playing in the background! Feelin´ you Martin!
You should have insurance to the MMX
Well, that's not really useful when it's not a commercially available machine now, is it?
@@Bourinos02 why would you need it to be a commercially available machine. Literally Anything can be insured. For instance some Celebrities insure their faces or voices for millions of dollars in case they are in an accident that would cause them to end their career.
On his Tenant's Insurance he could list: MMX value $100,000,000. Like insuring equipment and art.
@@christopherharrison7931 thats merica, you cant do that in europe
Yeah, its called Patreon
This is one of your best videos. Every part is clear and concise with plenty of your personality sprinkled in. It smoothly progresses, like a great documentary. You are in a groove sir. I hope you can keep it, and continue to enjoy the project once again. Keep up the great work!
"'I think I'm making a masterpiece."" What, did you ever have a doubt in your mind. Ask anyone, we've known this all along, that is why were here ... well, and because you are such an interesting person in general. Did I mention musical genius? Oh, have you ever thought of using a adjustable automotive timing light (triggered through a magical device someone designs using a midi cable or ???) to actually see the components in time? I'm imagining the strobe light on my old direct drive turntable with all the dots on the platter. Wait, it's a masterpiece ... nevermind.
I knew that the MMX had a lot of ways to fine tune it but seeing it all in action to help make the music tighter is still very impressive, fantastic engineering and forward thinking.
Watching the MMX come about feels like I'm watching a renaissance genius build his inventions. Except instead of reading about it from history books, it's happening right now.
Your dedication and attention to details is so inspiring!! Every time I watch a video by you I’m amazed 😍
Think that the electrical system of your home is in dire need of an upgrade to be bringed up to standard: those electrical sockets don't seem to be safe.
You mean blackened plug pins and literally hearing electrical arcs in the socket isnt part of up to code electrical wiring?
I understood this project up to a point, now it's full on confusion for me, and pure genius from you.
This is even more satisfying than ASMR
For me this is still increasing into a whole another level in the "skies op de speelklokken". You are literally lifting this marblemachine X off into a universe where noone before you ever was or has ever dreamt of to be going that far with a "speelklokken". I am fascinated of how this masterpiece of mechanics works and that it indeed works as expected. only a dutchman can do this I think...
Biggest sign that Martin has found new harmony with himself:
*The plastic box serving as a screen stand has FINALLY been replaced!*
Just seeing how happy you are that all of your hard work is paying off made my day. So incredibly proud of you, Martin! I'm also very envious, impressed, astounded and confused as to the fact that this is even possible. You are incredibly intelligent and creative, and I'm so glad that god blessed the world with your presence. You deserve every bit of success you've had with this. Keep up the fantastic work!
I think that the electric mortor is one of the best things that ever happened to the mmx :D Keep up the great, precious work!
Loving the new "in the zone" focus. Keep it up Martin! 👌
Just an idea , Add a little screen with the motor speed and evetualy 3 or 4 buttons thats corespond to presets you defined
Loved seeing how proud he is of it. I would be too. This machine is an absolute work of art!
5:32 it can still be the tightest fully mechanical automated instrument
This is what I call purpose in life. Huge respect, man.
Martin: brown
Orange: Am I a joke to you?
10:32
If you know your colour theory, you should know brown is just dark orange
@@UnfortunatelyTheHunger yep!! ruclips.net/video/wh4aWZRtTwU/видео.html
it's clearly black and blue
And cameras capturing colors right is not a common thing also. Specially on Auto White Balance
LMAO
This is madness you send shiver down to my spine when i finaly hear how tight it can play
"Hey look ma I made it (literally) andit'splayingtighterthanhumanlypossiblewedrasticallyoverengineeredthisbutitwassototallyworthit."
I love this man, extremely detailed with his work, even with that bad electric wiring.
You should sell a keychain version of the happy gear
I would 100% buy a Wilson keychain.
Wow... It's been a while since I've checked on the marble machine's progress. I am truly amazed and inspired by your progress!!! I can't wait to show my music students this!
16:42 Wilson appears to be inviting all of his friends and relations over to help with the project. I think you're going to need a bigger music stand on that electronic organ!
It's so great seeing you be this excited over the progression and the timing of the MMX, Martin! Keep up the brilliant work!
11:22 When I saw this, I thought "One hundred and twenty thousand BPM!?"
Then I realized it actually means 120.000 BPM.
Fantastic Martin! I can see the excitement in your posture, your dialog and your smile. It's been a long journey (I've been there every step) but now instead of a road of gravel rock, you are entering the on-ramp of a paved super highway! I believe!
11:20 - 120,000 BPM!!! This marble machine is gonna scream!
I loved your self appreciation of your achievements even more than the music..
The snares during testing is giving me anxiety xD
Taikeb0 - N3V the sound of it or the timing? Lol. I love how much he can get out of it now, but I hope the sound of the snare will be tightened too. Lol
It now has a heartbeat. All the over engineering, all the feature creep, all that extra work and time that was spent making the core of this machine so robust is definitely paying off.
