OMG, this song is so great, both versions. Even watchinglistening now gets me feelsy and chillsy! So many thoughts and places regarding this/these tracks that we didn't even get to because they are so layered. So much fun recording these videos with you. I'm really looking forward to future collabs. Pumpkins forever and ever! 💖😎

This song makes me wonder what an "electronic rock" album would be like in this era right before Adore. I love this song and wish they explored this specific sound a little further! Adore still has some rock flavor on certain songs but is definitely different than this. (Although I absolutely love Adore. Top 3 SP albums for me!)

Listen to the ransom soundtrack that Corgan did with Matt walker and it gives us a peak into what that would have sounded like. It was an awesome direction I with they had explored more.

The End is The Beginning is The End from the Batman soundtrack is the best version of that song... one of my favs... sad that Billy is so ashamed of much of his older stuff (including Zeitgeist.. cant' find that anywhere, glad i have the CD)

So great you are back with this series. It's a massive undertaking and would be easy to quit, but I keep checking back every few months to see if you have done more and it's always a pleasure when you have. Another great video, so much effort put into the editing as well, far more than a reaction a real insight.

Thanks so much Dan. Trust me. I am not quitting. Hope to get through adore by the end of this year. I can't wait and thanks for noticing how much work I put in on the editing. I think these songs deserve the royal treatment and I put a lot of effort in.

@THE DEEP DIVE It's one of the things that gets a bit old with some other reactions in that you just get a sort of easy end to end video of someone listening to the song. But I love how you put it in context what was happening at the time, and loved to hear your insights on the Zero story too (can't wait for your thoughts on the Glass story in Machina!).
Growing up in the UK in the 90's I loved all these songs but we didn't really have MTV or the like so never got all these extra clips. Amazing how after all these years you can still learn so much about your favourite band! 🤣

One of the Pimpkins best tracks. It has been overlooked so many times.

Batman was my favourite superhero since the 1989 movie came out. I was obsessed then... My next obsession started in 93-94, the Pumpkins. When this song came out I thought it was a gift just for me. I still love this song and it's one of the best soundtrack songs EVER (including all the other versions, which there are more than just TBITEITB)

This is excellent. I remember being in a movie theater to watch a Batman movie - The Dark Knight actually.
When the watchmen trailer hit I remember being blown away and enjoying the irony of seeing the trailer while in the theater for another Batman movie. :)

Wow! That song is awesome! I prefer the darker, slower version that was in the movie but both versions are cool. I've never seen "The Watchmen." Maybe I will try to find it and watch it on streaming. This one must not be in your top 50 since you didn't give it a number.

correct. this doesn't make my top 50 but was a grammy award winning single so we had to cover it. I like it a lot though as you could probably tell. I prefer the slower version too but the rock version is a lot of fun. Glad you liked it!
