When were you there? Weather looks nice. I was there in February. Not the best time to visit I think. Cold and rainy a lot of the time, ha ha. The people were the best though

I lived there and Suly is amazing....
It's the wooden charcoal that gives it the flavour...
The guy you greeted and shook hands with said “how are you, qurbanê bim (it translates to I’ll sacrifice myself for you, which is a common expression used as a compliment here)”
And the guy at the bakery said “if only I could understand what you’re saying” to your “smells nice!” 😂
But I’m sad that you only got to see a small part of the bazar, basically only the street in front of your hotel. The Slemani bazar is actually huge, with a lot of very different, very interesting sections to see and explore, I wish you’d seen it all and experienced all the delicious food on offer here!
