It's the "hard hitting" but almost more so the timing of the punch and I think in both categories AJ is still better than Dubois at this stage.
Look what the correct timed punch of Usyk did to Fury, and he is certainly not a tremendously "hard" hitter.

Although Dubois might have won the Hrgovic fight eventually, we musn't forget that the fight was stopped due to cuts, not due to a total beating.
Dubois vs Hrgovic would warrant an interesting re-fight.

I highly doubt Dubois punches harder than AJ. Look what Joshua has done with the likes of Nganou, Povetkin, Klitchko, opponents with extremely durable chins and Joshua made them look like popadoms.

That whack in the back of the head, from Andy Ruiz, right where it messes you right up, had him thinking, for quite a while. But he has certainly stood up to some decent shots in the past.

Whereas DD looked much improved against Hrgovic, he took a lot damage, which is fine against someone without massive punching power. AJ will finish him in the 5th.
DDD didn’t bash up Hrgovic,DDD was going in with his head all the time & opened up a cut on hrgovic that he got in sparring but DDD just opened it back up with all the head butts

Obviously Dubois has a chance, he can bang. But from what I have seen over the years there is levels between them it will more then likely be a knock out win for AJ.

Don’t be too sure AJ has been floored before , I still have my doubts about him he lacks something against elite fighters .
Daniel must work on avoiding the right cross he needs better head movement needs to block and slip and mix it up, he is capable of stopping AJ he may have to come off the floor to do so. I lean towards DD because he has the better amateur pedigree. Lets go East London!
Matchroom's decision to turn down two WBC title shots against Fury has worked out well for them. Another backdoor vacant title against a vulnerable "champion" was the smarter option for Joshua 👍

Parker should get first shot at Usyk. No way Usyk will fight Joshua again after beating him twice. He already said he is going back to Cruiserweight. Joshua is counting on Fury winning or will look to for Hearn to buy the vacant belts like this IBF situation. Gauranteed Usyk got some payment to drop the belt. Just Like Don KIng paid Lewis to drop the IBF for the Byrd vs Holyfield fight.

Dubios did not win a single round against Usyk and in my opinion it was a low blow he knocked down Usyk with ! Hrgovic repeatedly hit Dubios with right hands AJ hits harder Filip ! Dubios hits very hard and is explosive but so is Joshua ! Dubios is most definitely a big challenge for Joshua but in my opinion AJ stops him !

DDB will do a job on AJ. He has beaten better opposition lately and been in camp, AJ hasn't, and he telegraphs his punches. Remember we got starved of the Wilder fight due to AJ getting spanked by Andy Ruiz. His chin is not good and it will get TRULY tested as DDB has his confidence. Don Charles is the joker in the pack and a great trainer. DDB won more rounds against USYK than Joshua did in 24 rounds lest we forget.

Because Hrgovic beat Zhang. Although I think he (and Parker), we're only able to beat Zhang because he gassed out after 6 rounds.
But still the fact is Hrgovic beat Zhang, and the general consensus is Zhang is a top boxer. And if you can beat a good boxer, it's fair to be considered a good boxer. "Good boxers, beat good boxers".
I thought Hegovic pieced Dubois up early but simply ran out of gas ala young version of Klitchko. Hrgovic still a player to me in division got to learn to pace himself

@barrythomson6329 40 years old doesn't make you a good or bad fighter. It will likely mean you're just past your best, but past doesn't mean bad or good, it depends on the fighter. A 40 year old Povetkin knocked out Whyte, who had only lost to AJ many years before that. Povetkin wasn't at his best, but he was still a good fighter and would probably at that time time still defeat most of the heavyweight fighters around at the time.
In regards to Zhang, same thing, the general consensus is Zhang is a good fighter, and even though he'll gas after 6 rounds, anyone outside the top 5, he'll probably beat. Definitely a top 10 heavyweight fighter currently. You mention the age, but that's irrelevant, what matters is he good or not.

If Dubois tightens up his defense and let's his hands go like he did in his last fight he could easily win. Joshua isn't exactly hard to hit and he still looks vulnerable when he gets pushed back.

He's a genuine dude Dubois, a great decent bloke for sure, that will take it to AJ like ruiz - usyk did. Will really need to work on his defence/ head movement as he eats far to many shots for sure. But as we have seen before with AJ, Dubois does have the tools to put AJ in serious trouble, AJ does not have a chin like say, the Cobra who fought at wembley in front of 80,000, a hall of famer, Carl Froch.. It will be a great fight/card this event for sure.. And good luck to all involved. 👍
