I wanted the 3/8 version of this ratchet on the snap on truck just to add in my on-the-go bag and its $104.00 before tax in Canada… Thankfully fell on your video and found out its the same as the Williams and ordered this ratchet in a whole sockst set for 62$
That's way too much for a snap-on IMO Glad my video helped. Also, you can get teh snap-on replacement parts for the williams and it will be covered under warranty haha. Like $14
The difference you can warranty one on the truck and the other one you can’t. Pretty straight forward. Unless your Snap On dealer goes above and beyond to undersell himself. It come down to convenience.
All my sockets are Williams USA impact sockets. Costs over 60% less then snap on and they are the exact same thing with the same fit and finish. The receipt and package even says snap on when you buy them
I've bought the Williams set of sockets that comes with this ratchet that arrived today. Since I live outside the US, there's no Snap-On Truck advantage for me paying more for Blue-Point. These seems to be better than the 36 tooth ratchet they sell apart, because this one have a locking mechanism, ergonomic handle and a modern design or am I wrong?
You can get.a Williams USA for $30. 52 is the same mechanism as SnapOn 936. Williams is made and owned by Snap On. Is that Williams Taiwan a budget line from them or different company? Couldnt find em on Google to research.
I have never warrantied anything with them so I can't say for sure but I have heard both good and bad. The good thing about this is you can buy the Blue-Point repair kit for pretty cheap and that kit falls under Snap-Ons warranty. Same thing with a few Bacho ratchets. Check out MR Subaru on the parts numbers for that one.
They're great. A col thing with some ratchet's you can do is buy a Snap-On(or BLuepoint) repair kit, for like $10, and that will be warrantied by Snapon if it break.
I am not sure with Williams, but have heard it's a pain in the butt. However, you can get a Blue Point repair kit for like $10 and that will be under snap-on's warranty
If we remove the corruption from our government and fix the currency, we could all afford quality American made tools made by our neighbors again.
Corporations control the markets, and the governments, feels like a sinking ship. Thanks for watching.

It’s a low tooth count, but it’s one of the best feeling ratchets out there imo
I have an old 32 tooth Mac ratchet, one I go for the most.

You can but a replacement kit for one, for cheap, and Snap On will warranty it.

Is it the usa one?
Dammmn man that’s crazy. Sad but true. 😂
I guess look at more like you are paying for a service with snap on and blue point

I wonder is it is discontinued as I can find them either, but I think you can get teh snap-on repair kits for the usa ones still. Maybe try ebay
such a shame... only thing is you can warranty the bp on the truck and no for the williams
You can get a Blue-Point repair kit for pretty cheap which is covered under warranty. Pop that in the Williams and you're good to go.
nice

Is the Williams easy to get warrantied? That is something I have wondered. I have a few myself

What is the tooth count on both?
Only 38.

Mechanics rip off people.. Tool companies rip off Mechanics.. Fair Game
That's why we need to get tools and do what we can ourselves.
