EWR is actually my home airport, and every time I fly over to LAX its been on a wide body, but usually come back home on these 757s. Definitely makes for a more comfortable trip over since its 6 hours there but who knows, maybe one day I'll fly to LAX on a 757, especially since United is phasing them out.
The last time I flew on a 757-200 was many eons ago when I did JFK - LAX. It was on what UA had then a "one-off" 757-200T (Transcontinental) which was an all premium economy aircraft. This was when I visited the US about 18 years ago. Just found your channel after a recommendation. Have subscribed to it.
Yeah some of their PW-engined legacy 757s were outfitted for coast to coast service. The ex-continental ones, which are all they have now, have a standard mixed product.
i used to fly out of EWR 10 times a year in the late 90s/early 2000s with continental airlines when i had lived in greensboro and wanted to go visit parents in south america. still looks very familiar
I have a few hours before my flight which will be on this aircraft, 757-200! Very excited! Wow, the view at 10:12 is insane - really gives you a clear picture of the very dense population of NJ.
The first time I flew United Airlines was on a 757-200 from JFK to SFO in 2015, and I heard that United 757-200 will be retired in the next 3 years. A321neo, A321XLR and 737 MAX series will be taking over the 757-200s.
its always a good day when u can fly on a 757! Best plane ever
Nice 👍
Thanks for sharing
Greetings from Helsinki ❄️ Finland
hi ty for sharing the economy class wichi is some people travel love it
14:20 I like their meal boxes with delicious snacks inside, when I flew back to SFO from Chicago last week, I ordered a Recline box and they offered pretzels, oreos, gummy bears and popcorns.
Hahaha Jeff Ross in the red hoodie at 4:01
Lovely bird the 75 and wish to fly on it soon before they’re gone forever
Thank you for sharing your trip here. Yes, those transcon flights are long-haul flights. I saw the jet bridge was attached to Door 1L. So, you were able to walk through First or Polaris Class. Yes, the seats in First or Polaris are very nice.
I see you had a seat further back in Economy but in your reservation were you able to have a seat further back up near Door 2R or 2L to get the more leg room. If not up by Door 2R or 2L then maybe at the Exit Row area?
Flying over the Grand Canyon is very nice going west. I like in the summer times when the sun has melted to snow off the pecks of mountains, you are able to see the different color variations of the mountains. I do miss flying in the PS Service and with a Business Class section on the old 757-200s. And United still fly the 757s on the other long-haul flight to Hawaii from Los Angeles and from San Francisco is very nice.
Thanks. It looks like the exit row with two seats has a window! That’s going to be my seat and I was told there is no window, so this is great info!!
24:19 That was a very steep descent, and the flaps were extended pretty far to be that high up. Interesting approach for sure
Last time I flew into LAX went from 38,000 ft to nothing in 27 minutes. Felt like a steep descent.
@@ecoRfan I wonder why the descent is so steep. Maybe to avoid all the different SoCal airspaces 🤷🏾♂️
I will treasure every B757 flight I was on
👍👍👍🤝🤝🤝
how do you find tickets along these routes without having to spend extra money? I would love to start taking the "fun" way around when I travel back and forth between NYC, DC, and Ft Lauderdale.
Flights 77 and 93 were not accidents.
United 93
Delivered in 2010 that can be right they don't make those anymore the last one was built in 2004 757
It was delivered to united in 2010 but previously flew with other airlines
8:06 bruh I'm not sure 9/11 counts as an "accident"
Typical 🗑️ United using some old ass plane that’s ready to fall apart. Fly delta 330 neo or American a321 transcon from nyc to lax out of jfk
delta still uses the 757, nice try
Delta also flies the 767. I actually prefer old planes over new ones. After all didn’t the max aircrafts recently come under scrutiny?
