No, Policenauts is not a sequel to Snatcher. While they share some thematic similarities and are both directed by Hideo Kojima, they are set in different universes and tell separate stories. Despite these connections, the games have distinct storylines and characters. Policenauts is a cyberpunk adventure set in a space colony, while Snatcher is a cyberpunk thriller set on Earth.
Bloody hell Future Cop LAPD was amazing fun playing with the siblings as well and it has only just clicked that the multíplayer is very very similar to MOBA style of gameplay, now that you mention it. How didn't I see that before?
Once again I must mention Alundra. The sequel wasn't terrible but it was a still a far cry from what the original game deserved. The FMV intro is in fact one of the best 2D animations ever released for the PS1 and it sure as hell could get the Anime OVA treatment Tales of Phantasia got in the early 2000s.
I never played the first, but I'm currently playing the second one and it's fun but frustrating. Everything feels slow and you get stuck a lot, but the coolest thing is the full german voice acting featuring some voices from the Gothic cast.
WHOA! So many good games on this list! They either deserve sequels or remakes. Imagine a Vagrant Story, Chrono Cross, LAPD Future Cop or Legend Of Dragoon remake? WHOA, I'm sold. Doesn't need to be perfect. I'm sold. Games like Rapid Reload and Silent Bomber don't even need to be remade with graphics that are completely up-to-date. Make them late PS2ish or PS3ish graphics and it has my money.
OMG you gave Wild 9 some love! That's the FIRST game I play any time I load up an emulator or actual PS1. I love that game so much. Flinging enemies side to side is so much fun.
Kid, I loved her. That was the first time I heard the word "arse" and began using it myself. Anyways, came for the Evil Zone, stayed for the Wild 9. I love both those games and I think both are highly underrated. Especially Evil Zone. For as simple as the 2-button system seems, the attacks had enough variety just off those two buttons to plan, attack, and defend. But what really set it apart was the ultimate attack mechanics. You could charge energy for more powerful attacks and it charges to the top of your life bar. The lower your life, the faster the charge. It's a great way to make a comeback without being extremely broken as you still have to hit with your ultimate attack (which is still easily blockable or dodgeable). Most of the combat is focused on maneuvering and striking or drawing your opponent into dodging into an attack. For example, forward+attack does a single shot that is strong and stuns (opening them for ultimates or throws) but double tapping attack splits the attack to the sides instead. Same with throws, double tapping makes the circle wider and snares a dodging enemy instead. I could talk about the complex mechanics of that seemingly simple game for hours, if you like fighting games, it's such a gem when you give it a fair shot. Also Wild 9 is radical. That's all.
I remember getting the demo for Future Cop and just being floored (at the time) at all the dynamics of the game. I eventually got it much later on.... its criminally under rated
I've gotten back into PS1 with the xStation mod. I've never been a fan of Sony's D-Pad so I got a Brook PS1 Wingman adapter with a Mayflash MF 105 with a SNES pad plugged into it. To use a SNES controller since not many PS1 games needed or used the L2 and R2 buttons and those that do well, I use a CRKD Pro controller in that case.
Kid. Happy Birthday Jimmy (And your hairline). Love the lights. Ahh I see you know your judo well! Did I cover everything? Also, a PS1 classic/Hidden gem I don't think I've seen mentioned on your channel yet is Z. Such a great tactical sim, loved playing that game. Happy New Year to you guys too!
@gjergjaurelius9798 id only accept Bloody roar as another 3d fighter. Unfortunately other than tekken there isn't another real successful one. Soul calibur isn't nearly as popular. Most of the people who play fighting games that I know don't even like tekken. Just a tough spot.
@gjergjaurelius9798 mine too! The combat is fluid, the fighting styles are unique and the animations for the specials are so cool. Feels way better in my opinion than generic 3D fighters like Tekken or Virtua Fighter
A late Happy birthday to you! Love these videos as always. Ah i see you know your judo well mister james from culture vultures, Maybe you could take on Big Boss’s legendary CQC techniques!

I like Cultured Vultures more every time I watch it. Great channel.
I want my legends 3. Need to know what happens after the ancients and their machines awaken on terra after defeating mistress sarah and preventing her from activating the carbon reinitialization program.
Hogs of War was a sleeper hit. Managed to pick it up in one of those 3 for £20 offers way back then and I sure did have fun playing it with my siblings. Would be cool to have a sequel but for me it would be lost on with no siblings to play with anymore. The original studio behind Hogs of War, Infogrames Sheffield actually closed down in 2003. The management team moved on to open up Sumo Digital and are still around today. I am guessing Atari still own the IP or it was sold on.
Vagrant story is an epic game. It's definitely one of my favourite ps1 games. I'm a physical collector and have 761 games for the system so far. Keep giving the ps1 love. 👍👌
We are unlikely to see a direct sequel to Chrono Cross anytime soon as Kato Masato, the head writer, is currently involved with the gacha-RPG Another Eden. It's basically a spiritual successor to Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross featuring time travel and parallel worlds. It even has a temporary (it's still live at this time) crossover story involving characters from the latter, including the lovely lady at 8:04, Kid.
I would love Konami to make a release of police notes and re-release zone of the Enders one. I also want a Zone of the Anders three come on Konami make this happen.
Ah! I see you know your Judo well! If I recall, Snatcher did get a pseudo sequel of sorts called Policenauts on the PS1 and Saturn, though it never came out in English. But I do believe that someone made a translation and an English voice over patch for the game, so have a look for that.
I missed out on Chrono Cross. I would love a Chrono cross Chrono trigger release. I was really kind of hoping we get a Chrono trigger release before a Akira Tori Yama died but alas sigh.
It wasn't and the SegaCD version is better anyway. I think he just used footage of the SCD version because it would be nice to see more of the setting and there isn't even a fan translation of the PSX version (because of sentence one). Policenauts does at least have fan translations for both PSX and Saturn versions but I don't think they're really considered connected in any meaningful way. At any rate the font is unmistakable and the more limited color palette of the Genesis/Megadrive gives it away a bit too, plus I've seen quite a few pixels in my time. Edited for clarity because me fail English unpossible brain work good today.
I would have died for a Legend of Dragoon Sequel. Today....well I prefer playing the original again and again and again. Sequels are most of the time disappointing since a decade, no matter if you look at movies, shows or video games. Most of today's devs are just not talented enough to take care of glorious IPs created by their elders.
You have a comforting voice to listen to, and I appreciate your positivity.
Snatcher does have a sequel. It is named Policenauts (PS1, Saturn).

(Sobs when it gets to Chrono Cross)
We’ll get Final Fantasy 7-4 before we’ll get a sequel to Chrono Cross. Or a sequel to Vagrant Story.
That’s essentially what Remake was.
Bloody hell Future Cop LAPD was amazing fun playing with the siblings as well and it has only just clicked that the multíplayer is very very similar to MOBA style of gameplay, now that you mention it. How didn't I see that before?
And I hopefully you continue making contents, Jimmy!
thanks so much dude!
Legend of Dragoon was so awesome as a kid. Those cutscenes never got old
Apocalypse, we need another Tiny Bruce Willis action game.
And yes. Before even watching the complete video, Eretzvaju (Evil Zone) needs a remake-continuation. And expansion over its concepts and universe.
I think Destrega and Psychic force 2 looks and feels better to play.

I'ts a shame that Team Buddies is never mentioned in these vids, it's a certified Psygnosis hood classic.
Also happy new year everyone.

That’s Kid, a thief. Pretty useful character.

I always considered the ffxii as vagrant story 2
I remember getting the demo for Future Cop and just being floored (at the time) at all the dynamics of the game. I eventually got it much later on.... its criminally under rated
You can't have Hogs of War without Rik Mayall

I swear that watching that lightsaber fighting looks like it was a carbon copy of Misturugi from Soul Calibur.
Finally some Future Cop love. I played this non stop as a kid.
Silhouette Mirage NEEDS a sequel!
8:30 Wild 9 has some of the WILDest sounds. Loud is the ONLY option
Jackie Chan stunt master needs a cooperative sequel with sammo hung and Yuen Biao🤟🏻💯
That's Kid! Although, for some reason I always rename her "Kit". Better name, I think. Also, "Ah, I see you know your Judo well."
Racing Lagoon - JRPG set in Tokyo street racing scene
I want sequels to Einhander, RC De Go and Blasto.
Honestly give me car combat and another Bloody roar and im set for life.
We need more 3D fighting games.
@gjergjaurelius9798 id only accept Bloody roar as another 3d fighter. Unfortunately other than tekken there isn't another real successful one. Soul calibur isn't nearly as popular. Most of the people who play fighting games that I know don't even like tekken. Just a tough spot.
I would have added Rogue Trip and MediEvil 2 for sequels.
...and Fear Effect
I love Evil Zone, definitely underrated!
Danzavier is my favorite!!!
I will forever say that Vanguard Bandits needs a sequel or at least a remaster.
I had LA Future Cop for the PC, somehow never played it much, besides liking it much.
I have to replay it
Me and my brother had only damo of Hogs of War, but we played the hell out of it. Best memories
She's Kid but technically also Schala
Hogs of war is literally my favourite PS1 game of all time, the memories of me and my mates playing this are unmatched
I want my legends 3. Need to know what happens after the ancients and their machines awaken on terra after defeating mistress sarah and preventing her from activating the carbon reinitialization program.
You didn't mention threads of fate. Underrated but an amazing game
That's Kid in the Chrono Cross promo image
I would kill for a sequel to Threads of Fate.
Fighting Force 3 was being developed for ps2 but it was cancelled
"Get your hand off my ........."
are you ready to receive my heart react
Great video guys!
Sadly Hogs of War would never be quite right without Rik Mayall :(
Watching future cop made me pine for Gpolice.
Kid.
Wild 9, the commercial was very memorable in that ADHD 90's way.
Bushido Blade 3 for Xbox Live Arcade would be amazing.
8:05 Kid , who wants to take you on adventur.
Nice lights, epic t-shirt jimmy but do you know when the bins go out lad?
NEVER AGAIN APPARENTLY
@CulturedVultures 🤣 help I'm still swimming through wrapping paper and empty babybel wrappers
I love face reveals! Could the vultures still come by and say hey sometimes?

Legend of Dragoon is one of the best RPGs I've ever played!

Loved playing Hogs Of War
The girl from chrono cross is Kid.
I would love Konami to make a release of police notes and re-release zone of the Enders one. I also want a Zone of the Anders three come on Konami make this happen.
8:08 That's Kid! She doesn't have amazing damage-per-turn by I'm a sucker for that Australian thief.
Vigilante 8 great game, shame the remake only released for xbox 360
Yeah, I had the Klonoa once. Went to the doctor and got an ointment to clear that up. Never again.
Horrible creatures.
Actually, your loss, MK Mythologies Sub-Zero is fantastic
Ah, I see you know your Judo well. I wish we could get a Mega Man Legends 3
That's Schala !
That's Kid and since I was a kid when I played it, my future wife.
That was Kid in the picture
She's kid. Never played the chrono series, always meant to though :)
Ah I see you know your judo well. Also, the girl from Chrono Cross was named Kid, if I remember right.
Ah! I see you know your Judo well! If I recall, Snatcher did get a pseudo sequel of sorts called Policenauts on the PS1 and Saturn, though it never came out in English. But I do believe that someone made a translation and an English voice over patch for the game, so have a look for that.
No English vo only strings were translated I played it in 2019
@@FR4M3Sharma Interesting, I could've sworn that someone did a voice over for it, unless I dreamt that!
Woot Legend of dragoon! my fav rpg of all time!
Ahhh I see you know your judo welll. Thanks, my friend
I missed out on Chrono Cross. I would love a Chrono cross Chrono trigger release. I was really kind of hoping we get a Chrono trigger release before a Akira Tori Yama died but alas sigh.
Ah, Kid. She's a badass, she is. I missed having her around.
Snatcher? I don't think that was released commercially in English on the PS1?
Policenauts did not, snatcher did as well as for sega CD.
It wasn't and the SegaCD version is better anyway. I think he just used footage of the SCD version because it would be nice to see more of the setting and there isn't even a fan translation of the PSX version (because of sentence one). Future Cop has a Steam to be announced date. LAPD 2195 I think its the same.
oh nice, a spiritual successor!
Great games on this list. Kid is a great thief with a penchant for saying arse.
It's Kid!
VAGRANT STORY
It Kid. Did anyone imagine that she has an Australian accent, or am I the only one? Lol
Shame sony never remade legend of dragoon instead of wasting a billion dollars on live service junk.
PS1 RPGs need sequels
Chronic Cross needs a sequel? Why? (That’s is Kid a Radical Dreamer.)
I thought I was the only person in the world who played wild 9 😂
Kid from Chrono Cross
Oh that's Kid!
Ah kid, I see you know your judo 🎉
That’s kid my friend
Who's the girl on the thumbnail? Loved the artstyle!
It's Katrina Gibson from Snatcher.
Kid whose really a clone of schala from chrono trigger
For what? a succulent ps1 classic?
Happy late B day ese

I want a sequel to Muppet Monster Adventure.
...and Blast Chamber
I see you know your judo well, however I also see you need to give more love and attention to PS1s Brave Fencer Musashi in your videos!
Kid on CC cover and ah I see you know your judo well
Chrono Cross has the worst battle music in history.
Kid ❤
It's Kid
