The fact my manager Darren Ferguson didn’t sub on Ashley youngs son in the Everton game after all that build up to the game gives me an ancient monolith
He's an ego maniac who didn't want the young lad to have the limelight. Although the situation in the game didn't really appear for him to come on during the game. I have a feeling even if the situation did arise he still wouldn't have brought him on for the reason I put above
Wolverhampton Wanderers being promoted for the first time in 19 years in 2003 (which gave me an ancient monolith), with home grown Joleon Lescott at the heart of the defence. Lescott then suffered a knee injury, had to have surgery, missed the entire of the premier league season in which we were relegated. He later leaves for Everton, has a superb career, and wins the league with City. That stung.
Fernando Torres going to Chelsea was like watching your missus who you’ve been going around telling everyone how she’s the best in the world change her hair colour and leave you for the richer bloke who has more opportunity at bigger things and it broke my heart… That being said Liverpool went on Tinder afterwards and dated 2 women at the same time with the less photogenic one being better than Torres so I guess it worked out.
Tbf to Arteta, the media has cut the question he was asked out and made it look awful, it was a trap he fell into. The journo said "Other managers and players have talked about the ball being different what are your thoughts" and he said it's different and then the media just took the question out and said "Arteta blames the ball" knowing rival fans wouldn't care about the context and just laugh and click on it because they hate arsenal and clicks make money. It's a real example of just how nasty and twisted the media can be in this country. Arteta should have seen the trap and not said anything. If I was arsenal I'd ban that journo from conferences after that.
I was curious about this, but that's not how it happened at all. Arteta mentioned the ball unprompted when asked about what they could do to put missed chances out of the players minds. That's when he basically said "it's tricky this ball flies a lot" The journalist pressed for specifics by saying "You're not the only manager to mention the ball" and then Arteta said "it's just different..." etc.
Blah blah blah. It’s so hard for Arsenal and Arteta isn’t. Playing suspected rapists, spending 3/4 of a billion in 5 years with huge wages and when media directly quotes him it’s a disgrace. A desgracia I guess you could say.
Throwing it back with a Samism here: I was at the spurs Liverpool cup game and moments after Pedro Porro attempts a very difficult pass through the lines, which was intercepted, the bloke behind me yells ‘oh for FUCK SAKE, he’s trying to thread the needle through the eye of his bum hole’. Can’t help but grin every time I think about it.
Potential Bit Idea: I heard Ray Parlour describe WW2 as "it could have gone either way", and that Churchill "took his chances". Made me think of a potential bit where you describe historical events in football terms.
completely disagree with flav regarding academies. the whole point of football, the very reason it exists is because a bunch of lads from one place said “us lot from here are the best” and a group of lads from another part of sheffield disagreed. local players playing for and succeeding for the clubs they grew up supporting is all we have left of the game, the rest has been sold off for profit. if there isn’t a single player in your team that you produced honestly what’s the point in having teams from areas? at that point they’re just franchises like in american sports. the place serves as no more than a name and you can bet an american owner will come in and move that team to a more profitable market.
Tbh mate I'm not sure much of that has been happening for a long time now. Top clubs fill their Academies with players from all over the country sometimes pinched from lower league clubs for a tiny compensation fee. The Premier league isn't the be all and end all either, there's probably loads of local lads in the lower leagues showing up representing their areas. Just the thoughts of a fan of a little club in West London so my opinion will obviously be biased
@@toms8920 all they need to do is bring back the old catchment area rules and then implement a ban on paying for players under the age of 18 who haven’t made a first team appearance. personally think they should do the latter regardless because it’s frankly weird how clubs treat children as assets, its not allowed in any other field. Also what team do you support lad? I’m moving to NW and need a sound club to go watch on my Saturdays.
@@celtic69completely agree regarding the assets comment. Sensible heads don't run the sport unfortunately, efl and pl can't agree on anything and it's definitely damaging our game
I don't want Utd to sell Mainoo (obviously) but I agree with Flav. £80m on Antony is soooooo mental and if there are repercussions it's on United. We went a decade with only making 1 or 2 worthwhile transfers and wasted so much cash.

They are more than happy to scam fans and lie to their audience. James should avoid at all costs - they lower his reputation by association.
Forest fan here 🌳 hearing James talking about QPR's rise is so reminiscent of our season starting first 7 games with 1 point and quietly spending months taking wins and rising up, during that period we all loved it & would summarise it as enjoying the moment without measuring. Not getting lost in how many points we need to get to top 6 etc, just loved our manager and thoroughally loved the journey & moments. Magic sprinkled us through but we deserved it. Feels like the journey is still going 3 years later! Thanks PSR 😂 sorry for all the things we said last year
Please don’t use Forest Fan TV as a source lol The bloke running it is a complete tool and I’m sceptical he’s even a Forest fan. Seemed to appear from nowhere after promotion…
I don't think that Newcastle is the best argument for the pros of forcing teams to sell their talent being a good thing. Both Anderson and Minteh were lined up to be important players for Newcastle this season, and they still have a very thin squad, this actually just protects the top 6 from surging teams investing, same with Villa who have had to juggle the books carefully, halting their ability to compete with the top 6 which they definitely deserve after last season. If the traditional top 6 were being forced to sell their academy prospects I would agree more strongly but actually these teams get away with more financial tomfoolery than anyone else. I like the concept but the implementation is terrible
Flav is a super league 6 wetwipe. But he supports the worst one of the Super League 6. Of course he's bricking it that Newcastle and Villa are overtaking them

Saying "PSR is a force for good, look how it's spreading talent through the league" and then talking about how Chelsea might buy yet another player for 70 million is incredible. PSR will never be applied fairly, I genuinely don't know how the guest can't see that
What an absolute arse this guy is, he seems to be just a huge monolith himself, Il tossero grande. The only teams that are hamstrung by psr are clubs like Newcastle, Villa and Forest who can't invest because the system is broken. The 2 Manc clubs Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea don't have to worry as they have broken the system and way ahead of the pack.
James when QPR is winning gives me an Ancient Monolith. Honestly, it's adorable. I'm not gay, but little men like you when QPR are winning-that would be type if I were. I'm certainly feeling lifted, Jimmy. Certainly lifted.
It's mad how much Flav talks about Arsenal. They're not living rent free in his head, they're squatting, leaving the landlord/owner powerless in removing them. The authorities also struggle to remove them from the head/property. #SquattersRights. Ps, not an arsenal fan
28:06 can’t help but notice the subtle dig at the mighty Wigan from flav there. Think we need to slow down there mate, might have a fancy stadium for Rihanna to get wheeled out on, but we’ve got more major trophies than yourselves since Alexandra Burke was top of the charts. All while remaining firmly out of the greedy 6. And Yes, I am rattled
Flav repeating that absolute nonsense about a 120 million bid for Osimhen is exactly why his "If you want to know what's really going on at a club you don't talk to the fans" theory is utter bollocks.
Liverpool are only a stepping stone to Barca for South American players. Honestly people forget the Barca only really were that top club for a relatively brief period. I think James hasn’t moved on from 2014. Real is the one though and it’s infuriating.
35:55 the only fair analysis of this is referencing how last season in the same stadium Liverpool got two bs red cards. Including two yellows on Jota the first of which he didn't even touch the Spurs player. Liverpool getting screwed again by poor and inconsistent reffing.
Rashford going to spurs would make Evans Man uniteds only homegrown snr player (not over 21 ) Which has got to significantly improve Tottenhams chances in the europa by weakening one of their big threats.
Never had any bad feelings about McManaman even at the time and I think at worst it was mostly a mixed reaction. Was well documented Barcelona had a bid accepted for him and at the time the Bosman ruling was new and everyone was still in a panic about it. I remember enjoying seeing him do well for Real Madrid even. Only began to have negative feelings about him when his co commentary career took off. For Owen - was a little bad at the beginning but I don't think people would have been against him to the extent they are now if he hadn't come back after a year and went to Newcastle instead of us and ESPECIALLY if he hadn't gone to Man Utd of course. As for Trent - pretty accepting of whatever he wants to do at this stage. Hopefully he stays but I get the idea of just fancying something else in another country. I think most people would be better with it if there was a fee as has happened in the past with the likes of Rush, Keegan, people can kind of comprehend that more easily. Doesn't make much sense to us really given it isn't our money, but it just feels better somehow. If he were to go to RM I'd wish him well and hope he wins as many La Ligas as he wants and whatever he can internationally, though no more CL please they've had enough for about 50 years.
I think the passion argument regarding Rashford is utter bollocks imo. Flav mentioned special players who achieved magnificent things Rashford has achieved absolutely fuck all, he should be hungry and driven to play.
kinda surprised you guys didn't pick up on this while saying it but... Rice, Grealish - great lads!!! waheyyyy!! Rashford, Trent - you don't know what's going, looks like they've fallen out of love with the game (everyone's suddenly body language experts)
What gave me an ancient monolith? Well i have a sour drinking by myself type story and i like making playlists of what i consider to be the cream of the crop, new artists, old classics, finding a tune from the 70's that was a banger that everyone missed? It's going in the playlist- And i used to treat this like other poeple treat video games on the night before a day off, I'd get fucking twatted and search the depths of the internet and as the evening would usually climax i would be at my most drunk and most open to wild shit at 3:41AM. And there it was,..Step up the Lighthouse Family, There i was blind drunk singing my heart out with tears in my eyes. Lifted from the shadows indeed. Next day i was at work and playing the playlist at work and the sweet sweet sounds of lifted begin to play and a crushing ratatouille flash back hit me like a glass of piss in the face and i confess to the kitchen my late night sins where i was roundly mocked. So what gives me that Lifted Monolith? Having the boys on my favourite podcast give me the metaphorical nod at irresponsibly blind-drunk me without doing a thing. Yes, I've given up drinking now, and you can probably finds some weird playlists if you click my name.
Not on you guys but this is the second forest thing ive seen in a row that has no mention of gibbs white. What is with people ignoring him? He is literally forests best player
I couldn't agree more with Flav and I share the sentiment on PSR. The rules are actually very good - it punishes teams for overspending on foreign players and putting them in the mud financially. It's part of the reason why Chelsea are massive "what if?" team because they sold so many academy graduates even after they won the champions league! Imagine how much money Chelsea would have if they just held onto players like Tomori, Abraham, Lewis Hall, Mason Mount, Hudson-Odoi and kept them in the first team. Ultimately, I understand limiting factors drove them out the club and in hindsight with Mount's injury problems Chelsea got the timing spot on to ship him out and bring Palmer into the club. It will always be the biggest "what if?" in my mind.
It's not right that you're taking what was said about Kobbie seriously. I think what was meant was ANYONE in the squad can be sold for the correct price, not that they are selling. As in if a club was willing to put down 100 mil for Kobbie, of course they'll sell him. This is very different from what you're saying
On PSR, a fact that will blow your mind and is showing how bad Arsenal are at selling players - so most fans know their biggest offload ever was Oxlade to Liverpool. Want to know who the second is? Anelka 25 years ago.
They've had plenty of assets that they could have sold for big money but they have never been a selling club so they don't cash in when assets are at their peak value, usually losing them on free or for cheap near the end of contract.
As an Arsenal fan, can I please say most of us fans are as baffled as by the Arteta ball comments as everyone else. We were just ass and couldn’t score thats why we lost

Absolutely agree. Although, getting an ancient monolith while wearing a box does not give me an ancient monolith
Adel Taarabt at Spurs, once he did what he did at QPR I couldn’t not yearn what could’ve been 💔
Ahh! JAFFN!! I love JAFFN!!
I swear this is the funniest show yet
24:08 Late ache is like second day DOMs
The start of this video was crazy 😂 this is what happens when real football fans live stream
A Leo Messi Solo Goal compilation gives me an ancient monolith
35:20 Flav nearly had a stroke there 🤨
To be fair, it was obviously the balls fault the ref bafflingly didn't send Bergvall off too. It tackles differently i heard.
Standing in a single file line gives me an ancient monolith
Advice for a future video, never listen to Forest Fan TV. They're an absolute joke
35:55 the only fair analysis of this is referencing how last season in the same stadium Liverpool got two bs red cards. Including two yellows on Jota the first of which he didn't even touch the Spurs player. Liverpool getting screwed again by poor and inconsistent reffing.
Flav correcting James’ Jeffersons/Jetsons mistake gave me an ancient monolith.
Rashford going to spurs would make Evans Man uniteds only homegrown snr player (not over 21 )
Which has got to significantly improve Tottenhams chances in the europa by weakening one of their big threats.
Refreshing to hear someone from england not crying for their club to spend another half a billion
Muani muani muani must be funny in a rich man's spurs
Arteta fell into a media trap, he was literally asked about the ball
35:38 ‘come in Steve, that'll be lovely’ naughty
Ancient monolith - 30% possession + 1-0 win
Flav wearing a beanie gives me an ancient monolith
Payday prior to a bank holiday weekend gives me an ancient monolith. Filthy business
Spurs falling into the same hubris trap after beating Liverpool when they shouldn’t have! Look what happened last time they celebrated like this!
Stop crying
Reece James’ first goal back will give me an ancient monolith
I’ll retire before that happens
@ unfortunately so
kinda surprised you guys didn't pick up on this while saying it but...
First heart break was Fernando torres
It will always be the biggest "what if?" in my mind.
psr unfairly favours the big clubs, needs to be the same spending cap for every team
Look at the question he was asked, he fell into a trap
2 weeks ago JLA announced that rashford had a ‘done deal’
Do you still think this ?
This Jump Jump is the worst bit ever haha.
