This week a young girl at work asked me why inbreeding was bad (genuinely didn't know). I thought of Charles II and explained the risks, especially when compounded over generations.
Good morning!! It would be interesting if you could cover the Scottish monarchs prior to James VI of Scotland/James I of England. In particularl if you could cover Mary Queen of Scots, her Mother, Robert the Bruce and others from the Stewart Dynasty. If you already have, please someone help me find them. Thank you so much. Your work is incredible. ⚜️💜⚜️💜⚜️💜⚜️💜⚜️
3:09 which one of his grandfathers had Habsburg jawline exactly? I watched both Philip The Handsome and Manuel's portraits and saw neither having such a thing or even described of having one
Elizabeth didn´t defeat the Great and Happiness Armada, that its real name, not "invincible" . That name was put by the English to felt superior to an extreme superior power like Spain, in fact Elizabeth send a great armada also against Spain in Galicia and that Armada was really defeat by the people of Galice and the coward and pirate of Francis Drake had to return to England with almost no ships and no honour ( off course any pirate have honour, except for the english) . Phillip defeats the second empire after Spanish one, the Ottoman and save all Christian Europe for Muslims, but about that any even speak.
another petty people here, antagonizing one religion and still have the nerve to call themselves wise or open-minded! how ridiculous! your precious Phillip and Catholics were defeated, they didn't just lose to England, they lost Dutch as well, and new world thanks to existence of Elizabeth I! it doesn't matter who fought in that war, still all of them were fighting for one cause and person, the person who unlike Catholic fanatics, had a much better relationship with Muslims, despite being on totally opposite sides.
Uncle and niece marriages are sooo much worse than cousin marriages, and coursin marriages bad enough 🤮 I feel so sorry for the young women who died so young and the children
And? All royals are. This isn't news. However, If you go back far enough in your own family tree, you probably are too. Before modern travel, most people married from their own area. It was absolutely common to marry a first, second or third cousin. This was something that was done by all the classes Facts. Smfh.
@@JediSimpson It really depends on many factors. Many find it abhorrent, morally wrong. In certain states in the U.S. first cousin marriages are illegal. Marrying cousins who are related through the female line (shared mitochondria) is worse than marrying a cousin who has different mitochondria. If too many familial marriages occur in one family you get "bottle necks" , "The founder effect" and a whole host of issues that vary with different ethnicities. Other times there's enough variation in the genetic material avaiable to have nothing go wrong. Again, it depends on many factors......

That girl was definitely banging her brother.
One of my favorites monarchs. Spain King Philip II
In these recreations, he reminds me of a younger Orson Welles. Very good video.
Well done! Despite his "habsburg jaw" i think he was quite a handsome man, in his younger years at least.
Lol you have no idea how many times I had to pause this video to keep all of these relationships straight! 😮 Thank you for another great video. 😊
Or marry someone with different genes… also marry a woman and not a young girl.
Also the mother that had the gall to marry off her 14 year old and try to marry off her other one as soon as she died 😅
You when find about about all of history: 😭😧😖😵🤧
Is Dennis Waterman really Mary 1st of England!
Did Philip have bowed or weak legs?
no
An archipelago was also named after him
The Philippines 🇵🇭

@@pogo9876- Cousin marriages isn’t incest/inbreeding. They’d have to be even closer related; like uncle/niece, double first cousins, or closer.

@@JediSimpsonwhat? Yes it’s still inbreeding if you’re cousins
@@pogo9876 not just morally wrong… it’s scientifically proven that marrying and keeping it in the family has multiple downsides
