Ah yes... I was a WWF kid, and while I was aware there was another company out there (I'd see Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazines and the like in stores) I lived in Canada and didn't have satellite tv so anything other than WWF, AWA (I live in Winnipeg, right in the heart of Verne's promotion) or independent Canadian territories wrestling was hard to find... I didn't really know much about any of these other guys, so when Arn and Tully showed up in WWF I had no idea who they were, but The Brain Busters quickly became one of my favorite tag teams ever
I have an idea for a list it might be depressing but I think that you could easily make a list. The idea is “gone too soon” or “abruptly stop” (you come with a title) and it should be a list of wrestlers who were on an amazing career run but it was cut short after either an injury or death. A few names I can think of are Bray Wyatt, Brodie lee, Jason Jordan (remember I said it doesn’t have to be death) Brian pillman, Owen hart, and many more but the list is getting too long. I understand if you don’t want to do it, it’s only an idea.
Yes it's arguably the best heel run albeit without any title run. The heat which he had, the misunderstandings which he was able to generate is next to none.
I remember watching the old wrestlers, back in 1966 when I was a little 8 year old girl. Bruno Sanmartino, Bobo Brazil, Gorilla Monsoon, Johnny Valentine and later Greg Valentine, Stu Hart and his boys, Killer Kowalski, the Destroyer, Pedro Morales, Junkyard Dog, Jimmy Snuka, Ricky the Steamboat Dragon, his son Ritchie Steamboat, Coco B Ware and his bird Frankie. When I was 12 I saw Bret Hart and I fell in love,of course he was watching his brother wrestle and didn’t notice me, I told my grandma I was in love and she just shook her head and smiled at me. We lived on our reservation and sometimes Chief Jay Strongbow would come over for lunch before he headed to the next city. He always took my 3 younger brothers and I candy, cookies, cupcakes , he told us to just call him uncle Jay, so he was uncle Jay
Some may remember him as the giant Gonzalez but I’ll always remember him as the freak from the carnival hobie gave his freedom to after he saved him from drowning on that episode of BAYWATCH.

Goldberg's original year was by far the greatest year in wrestling history. Think about it. He was so fantastic for those nine months when he was on the up leading to that world title win. And then after that it was over... Literally. Once he got the belt he was done. But that short time when he was maybe the most over man on the planet gave him that insane contract for one year in WWE and then gave him even more insane contracts later on as an old man. and it was all built on that debut year that was so special.
The man behind Diesel, though he oozes charisma, but we all know lacked killer in-ring skills. But still Kevin Nash had one of the best first year runs in WWF/E. Within a year he became the Triple Crown champion.
You shouldn't say "oozes", as that calls to mind his KLIQ/nWo bandmate ("Hey yo!"). Yes, Nash radiated charisma, but his year in the World Wrestling Federation wasn't that great, since he was always playing 2nd banana to both HBK & the man who "oozes machismo", even when "Big Daddy Cool" was WWF Champion.

Goldberg definitely wasn't the biggest star in the industry at any point in time. Arguably the hottest star in WCW in 98 and maybe 99? Sure. But by that time WWF had taken over in the ratings war and Stone Cold was the biggest star in the industry. By 99, the Rock was a very close 2nd (some would even say he passed him).
