Jack has such a powerful message. Great to find here on RUclips. I used to listen to him on cassette tapes when I first got sober. God Bless his soul
Jack is a very powerful speaker. His AA speaker meeting "Jack B:Former Wheelman For The Mob" left me in tears many times. How he would talk about his mom telling him that he was vicious animal and she kicked him out of the house at 16. How his wife would repeat those words many years later and how he and her were threatening to kill each other all of the time. How he met his future sponsor and it was powerful cause he used to hate minorities and yet Sam was Jewish and helped him. How AA saved his marriage and how he mentioned that when his wife died abruptly, he was burying half of himself with her. Eventually he finds another woman and they marry and he stays sober through it all. Thank God for sponsors, the Higher power, Bill, Bob, the first 100, and AA. What a new way of life
I'm greatful from meeting you Jack numerous times in Perth WA early 1980s
I met you Jack at first,on Wed night steps group at Perth's hospital.
Thankyou
Scott's Robbie.
@Darreniii He had a heart attack in NY in the early 80's and my parents brought him out to Perth West Australia to stay with us in Helena Valley to recover. This was from a while after that time. He stayed in WA and eventually died in Perth when I was 12. He was my grandfather.
I would love to find out more about Jack.
@@lynneladlow4541 what do you want to know?
Which child of Jack was your parent? How old was he when he died? Do you have any pictures of him. Thank you for your reply
He was the first AA speaker I heard in 1987 and I’ve never heard a better story told. I think it was from Palm Springs maybe’74. I’ve listened to it over a hundred times and made copies for my friends. Thanks and God Bless Jack Brennan! If he could make it anybody can!
@@theGreenChesterfield was the first AA meeting your grandmother brought him to (a few years before he actually joined AA) before the big book was written? Was it Bill W's meeting in NY City? My math says it was about 1938 which would have but it before the big book was written.
You are Awesome zjack. I love you. Thank you for your service ❤️

This man helped save my life and I never even met him. I used to listen to his tape over and over again. I would love to find out more about him.
My mother has all of his tapes somewhere. The sound quality is going to be terrible but they should still be ok, I'll ask her to dig them out if anyone is interested
@@theGreenChesterfield I am interested! I would love to have more of his tapes.
Love listening too him
I been sober this time 2 1.5 wks after almost dying from my drinking
Jessica, am wishing you well. I was relapsing in the beginning, but by the Grace of HP, have been sober since 1998. I listened to speaker tapes every day morning and night. Went to sleep while tapes were playing, did lots of meetings. Drove to meetings while tapes were playing. I seemed to listen Ken D and Bob Earl the most for some reason, over and over, and over (but that's just what I needed to hear). Perhaps some other speakers will say something which resonate strongly with you. I think I needed my brain "washed" haha (still do haha). The right friends in sobriety were put in my path and I did what they suggested. All I can say is go with the Highest Thought regardless of what ANYONE thinks about it.
Thank you God bless
Great
