Very nice commentary. I’m Brazilian, and at 19 Vinicius de Moraes was my greatest inspiration. I would listen to his songs every single day and this album was one at the top of my list, exactly because of this friendship vibe. But I also think that it is amazing what Toquinho does, seems like he is mostly improvising, as if this was a small concert. He is very good at doing arrangements with his guitar.

I agree, this album is an icon. I listened to it as a kid, and even though it's not from my generation, nor my country, it was one of my most listened to albums. My friends of my age thought I was a martian, listening to this music. That they didn't know or understand. I listened to this music as naturally as I needed to drink water. I have trumpet studies in national conservatory

Content is absolutely incredible, but you did butcher the pronunciation of many of the names in Portuguese! Onwards and upwards, next time you'll do better. Keep up the great content, mate

Not that it matters in the slightest but just wanted to put it out there. The “G” sound in Gilberto sounds like an English J sound. So his name would be pronounced like this: *JU*-AW *JU*-BER-TU. The word “de” also sounds like an English J. So the song would be pronounced as: GA-RO-TA *JEE* EE-PA-NEM-A
