bruh, korra caused 3 of the 4 main problems, break the avatars knowledge, conect the spirit world that was a big mistake becouse of zhao complex and the only good thing she did was recovering the air benders wich caused indirectly a mass destruction and masacre@@mello.art0
@@mello.art0 i saw something that said the reason korra brought about so much change is because shes a water avatar and water is the element of change much like wan originally being a firebender and fire being the element of life and power he started the cycle and aang being the air avatar and stopping the 100 year war as air is the element of peace i believe
If I'm gonna be honest, all of this were also the White Lotus' fault, I mean, in ATLA-they were great, but they absolutely sucked in TLoK. They practically isolated Korra in the Southern Water Tribe, which leads her to not being able to see the entire world and the cruel reality, as she was always told by the White Lotus that her being the Avatar is the most important thing in her entire life, which quickly became her entire personality: being the Avatar.
korra losing the past avatars wasnt her fault, she was manipulated into opening the spirit portals by unaloq and he also had jinora held hostage, either way i believe the avatar cycle was always meant to reset during harmonic convergence no matter who the avatar was cause thats when raava and vaatu have to fight every 10000 years so restarting the cycle exactly 10000 years later doesnt seem like a coincidence to me
It would make sense but the next avatar has no one not even her the next avatar will be the weakest as all the past lives contribute to the strength of the current one
Korra would also lose to azula. Not to mention azulw usually had help against dang. Not to mention she was using blue fire which is way more dangerous than normal fire. Irl and in the anime.
Every Avatar had their flaws. Let's not forget Aang literally fled his home, which caused his entire nation to be wiped and the rest of the world in fear Fire nation's control for 100 years
He was 12 the other avatar were 16 when the were told another thing they had years to learn anng had to do it within a few months and was still a better avatar then her and for everyone saying your being Sexist I am not
@@meighanwalcott1921 It's not about being Sexist it's about the Avatars duty. Korra was born in an Era where she wanted to be the Avatar but wasn't really needed where as Aang had to be the Avatar and didn't want to. Every Avatar had their flaws, even Aang had many. Yes, Korra may have lost many fights but in almost none of them was she at 100% where as Aang was finnaly able to use the Avatar State against Ozai. And yes Aang may have been a prodogy but who says that he was the best Avatar? He neglected his duty and because of that the Air Nation was destroyed and the 100 years war went on where as Korra did her duty even if she didn't win. Her struggles made her more human and not just the Avatar. Against Amon she didn't have the Avatar State like Aang had. Against the Dark Avatar she wasn't really prepared as he was THE FIRST DARK AVATAR IN THE ENTIRE SERIES and VAATU had more power than RAAVA as he was MUCH BIGGER. And in the 3rd Season she got poisoned with METAL POISON. Everyone thought that she would've died but she was able to put a fight and still lived after the fight. Against Kuvira she had no more Poison but was Mentally drained. So as I said, Aang was a good Avatar but wasn't the best where as Korra wasn't the winning Avatar but did her duty. And don't start with the 10.000 years of experience being gone. I could start about the war and go on and on about it.
Aang never ran away, he actually just went for a ride on appa cause he couldn't sleep after finding out he was the avatar and got caught in a storm; not to mention if he never left he would have died as previously stated by another. Otherwise what aang did was partially his fault but it's not like he knew his people were gonna be invaded and that a storm was gonna catch him off guard; Korra did an okay job as an avatar but she wasn't the worst avatar, if you remember Roku literally had to apologize for having aang fix his fuck ups. After all Roku spent more time training and becoming a powerful avatar instead of monitoring the world closely like other avatars, regardless they may be the same soul but it isn't the same person, they all have flaws but all tried their best in the end❤
Let's be honest put Aang at Korras Place Nd he would fail harder than Korra ever could. Hate aside i love Aang Korra had so many strong Enemys and so complex problems throughout the 4 Seasons. She was trained almost her entire life to be the Avatar and once she could actually fulfill her duty sherealiced that she wasn't prepared at all. She was manipulated so many times (well actually only 2 Times if i think about it) but still every time she solved 1 Problem she found herself in another dead end.
@@jaiy1321well... Even when he was in the avatar state he wasn't able to protect himself from azula, actually she killed him ! and mind u korra's enemies were wayyy stronger than his so I doubt he'll ever get a chance to run away and hide like he did in the past .. let alone beat them

People always put Aang on a pedestal. Aang isn’t perfect, Korra isn’t perfect. But they’re both decent avatars in their own right. Aang was forced to grow up fast due to war. Korra was taught that being the avatar was the most important thing in the world. She was iscolated from everything and everyone else for sixteen, seventeen years. It makes sense how she would react in season one. By season four, she was suffering for most of the season with PTSD which wasn’t her fault.
Korra was a great avatar. The thing is after loosing fights she was slowly loosing her mind and mentality. She ended up being broken mentaly in season 3 i think?. And imagine being the avatar and having to relearn how to walk...
Korra was a terrible avatar sorry to say. 90% of her problems were self caused and then when she suffers for it you have pity on her🤷🏾♂️ she had so much potential to be strong yet simply never was in any fight. She was always out matched or out smarted which is terrible because the avatar is supposed to be the best. Aang beat a man 4x his age with decades more war experience and power than him on the night of sozins comet yet with 3 elements and life training she couldn't even match up to amon???
@blueflamedragon3764 she did lose a lot of fights, for amon you got to remmeber he used blood bending which even angg couldnt resist whitout the avatar state. She didnt really cause a lot of problems ,like she wanted for the red lotus to chase her.One thing the legsnd of korra lacks is charachter development.Yes angg did beat ozai but he needet advice from his past lives, which korra didnt have, sence her spiritual side was no that great.Later on it was completely taken awey.
@@bogdandjurdjevic4820 thing is if we are to play the blood bending card then sure her loss to amon was valid but you know it order to take someone's bending your will must be stronger than Thiers cause that was demonstrated when aang took ozais bending but for Korra Amon didn't even struggle he took it in seconds like she was just too weak as a person to handle being the avatar and besides Amon there are loads of people who beat her up who shouldn't have been able to
@@bogdandjurdjevic4820 another thing is Korra broke the connection to past lives like honestly the whole power behind the avatar state is the power of all the past avatars flowing through you but because of her stupidity all that power is lost the kind of power that aang used to make ozais look like a lil bitch she lost that easily. So for the nest 100+ years the avatar state will only be a slight physical boost cause no more past lives and no more power of the past avatars
@blueflamedragon3764 i frogot to mention. i think amon cant "take bending" its not mentiond but most likely he just disabled it whit blood bending then korra gave it back.Idk what is diffrent but when angg takes bending and when oman takes bennding it seems diffrent. Yes kuvira did beat her,but we also see her mental problems there when she saw herself in kuvira. She got scared. You gota remeber the poisen still had effect later on.
I think comparing avatar from avatar depends on what they go through. Aang had alot of Mental trauma, but he had more physical injuries than mental ones. Korra is the opposite. She had alot of physical injuries, but she had alot more Mental injuries that caused alot of trauma. So was she a bad Avatar? No. Was her enemies like Aangs? No. Did she save the world and change it for the better? Yes. And that's why Korra's line as an Avatar was infact good, because the problems she had to deal with, was infact not a 100year war that caused conflict on the outside, but more conflicts that happened on the inside. That's why Aang had more physical injuries, than mental one. And Korra had the oposite.
Like that's what I've been saying. Even during the eclipse they said if aang fights the Firelord he'll loose. Korra never ran away from a fight even when she wasn't sure she could win. And seriously with toph and sokka they might have taken him 😂... Cuz zuko would probably help

she was probably the best avatar in the end because she brought back the air nation, connected the spirit world to the real world, stopped defeated kuvira which is like equivalent to ozai, defeated zaheer, defeated dark avatar, defeated amon and saved republic city, united the water tribe, sealed vatuu, aswell as opening a spirit portal with republic city. honestly it’s kinda sad to see people under rate LOK she definitely impacted the world much more than previous avatars including aang. however i give credit to aang he definitely walked so korra could run 😅
Being a avatar is giving peace to the bending world and she did do that, Which means she is a good avatar, Actually the avatars arent gonna fight only save the world from war, *note:hope that helps😊❤❤*
Imo, she achieved the bare minimum goal of an avatar. She wasn't good or bad, she was just an avatar. There are definitely avatars way better than her, but there's also some worse. She is however the only avatar to destroy the cycle completely tho
@@mello.art0 Raava and Vaatu would have to fight for the world. Naturally Vaatu was gonna prioritize Raava's destruction, not caring how he does it. So getting Raava taken from her was low-key beyond her
I’d say she was not a good Avatar because she lost three bending abilities and needed The GOAT Aang to give them back to her second she lost all connection to her past lives leaving her and future Avatar without wise guidance from multiple lives
I feel like if she was less sheltered, she could've been a lot better. She could've maybe had a whole journey like the past avatars did so she could be better at using each element, but not much can be done about it now.
No. She didn't look out for the people. She allowed them to be oppressed knowingly. It was her job to intervene in the earth queens domain. She wasn't looking out for the people. She was looking out for her self image and pride.
And that’s the problem with people they loved to compare her with Aang and can’t except her as his predecessor and I know he didn’t bring up aang but I’m just explaining why this character gets hate👍
Other than losing her ability to communicate with past avatars she really didn't struggle that much more than any other avatar. And the positive thing she did outweigh the majority of avatars
I think the next avatar will restore the connections because each avatar fixes the others mistake. I also think that the avatar might go into the spirit world and find them because Korra just lost the knowledge not the souls. There was also a game which was something like journey to the spirit world but in that you were aang restoring the knowledge by learning the past 3 avatar life. This game’s timeline was when aang got shot by azula but got saved by Katara. So something similar might happen in the next avatar series
Ppl act like aang aint loose damn near every fight too he ran mostly and kora villains shit on aang villians also she was a toddler no training and knew three elements ppl just dont like kora but realistically kora is better than aang throughout the series
She brought back the airbender which is probably her greatest feat, but she also caused a lot of problems. I think the bigger issue with korra is that she's just not a very likable character in general.
honestly i feel like losing 10.000 years of experince from previous avatar is double edged sword, its of course negative in many point but also positive especially in a fast changing world like avatar with the industralization and bunch of things. Yes older people have wisedom and can give tips but they are also often to stubborn to accept change - now imagine these old people have DIRECT (Mind) controll of you (in some way)
It's like Star Trek Captains. They are each people of them time and circumstances. You could drop one into the other's situation and come out with a completely different opinion.
I heard that It wasnt korra's fault for loosing the connection with earlier Avatar's, since when Aang visited the temple where all statues of the previous Avatars were, there was just enough space for one statue to be added, and that she was destined to begin the new cycle of avatars. there was also another thing but I dont remember so yeah
I think though it was a good move on the writers to remove her bending because she was already a really good bender by the time she was found to be the new avatar
Ah yes, the average sexist and biased avatar fan who blames Korra for everything. Funny how people think she's bad when her opponents needed to take away her bending, manipulate her, poison her, gang up on her, lie to her, trick her, and use dirty tactics to beat her. Also, Aang literally died. If Katara didn't bring him back then there would be no more Avatars and the fire nation would have won. And Korra was meant to restart the avatar cycle.
You know what restarting the avatar state means it means the next avatar will be weaker than Korra because those years of experience strengthen the avatar also the spirit world and human world are separate for a reason now spirits like koh can wonder free. She basically undid millenia's of work of previous avatars she has set up all the problems the next avatar will have being avatar is not about being a hero and making everyone happy it's about keeping the world in check

Korra did do her job but she did in like the worst ways possible and is a sh!t fighter even though she's in a elemental bending fight competition she still gets whooped a lot
People are so quick to judge korra for being a bad avatar and forget aang left the world burn to death for 100 years, let a g*nocide happen and wanted nothing to do with it until he realized he was forced to by faith. Jesus they all have their own shit to deal with
I don't remember much from both shows but, Korra not only grew up in a peaceful era, but the White Lotus in TLoK sucks because they isolated Korra not giving her the ability to experience the real world like Aang did, also she was manipulated a few times, she was poisoned and wheelchair bound for 3 years. Also since the harmonic convergence is every 10,000 years it is safe to assume that the Avatar cycle will reset itself to the beginning regardless of who the Avatar was.
More like a struggling hero that eventually achieved balance and brought change to both worlds by allowing both to live in pace and harmony again while being the ambassador to both worlds.
Aang died because he was in the avatar state for 100 years which caused he life Spain to be cut in half but the saddest part of all we have to be left with Koraa as da new avatar🥶😭😭😭😭😭😭
So what are you trying to say.... Aang was obviously older by the time he died so sure people would fear Him more... If Korra was older she would also get the same respect as the avatar. Korra wasn't a bad avatar and aang would have made worse decisions in the state of Korra
1. She was against someone who was the best blood bender on earth and the son of someone who took down even aang (no avatar state) 2. Dude betrayed her and she was also still getting used to air bending (as you said she fought the strongest being in the franchise)
Eliy10red8 first of all aang and azula fought once and he lost not because he lost three of his bending abilities but because he could only bend air he was also caught of gaurd he had no idea that azuka was behind him about to strike lightning he was just trying to save a friend aang was a lot less expirienced since he had to save the world at 12 and missed 100 years of training and also a lot of pressure trying to defeat possibly the strongest fire bender alive and he mastered all four elements in 1 year and while aang was taking away peoples bending at 12 korra was getting hers taken away at 17
Actually i like the way they designed korra. She's the avatar, so the strongest beeing on earth with the ability to control all 4 (later "5") elements AND everyone knows this. So she behaved like this ib season 1: arrogant and off showing her skills, belive that everybody needs to listen to her because she's OG. BUT the traumatizing experience and the months of sitting in the wheelchair made her vulnerable and more like a normal human. She had to deal with other problems as Aang and didn't won every fight. But i think she did the best she could even after beeing injured. She had a huge Charakter development that she definitely needed to fully understand, what it means to be a real avatar.
Korra was a great avatar but she needed a little more training but when the chips were down she doubled down and kicked butt when she needed to save those she cared about plus she saved her biggest enemy instead of running away she continued aangs believe to not take a life for that I'm deeply grateful
People tend to forget how Zaheer psychologically damaged Korra, which leads to her getting absolutely demolished. But then at the final moment in Season 4, Korra saves Kuvira by using a strong powerful energy bending ability, opening a new portal between the spirit and normal world.
@@jaiy1321so you're saying that "redirecting" that energetic lazer is what caused the portal to be opened ? Definitely no. Pls dont talk about it as if its the most random thing to ever happen on the avatar world ! Yk how much power it takes to open a portal between the two words !! The portals dont get opened just like that, Korra used HER POWERS and that lazer to open the portal , she wanted to do it and she did it !!
She's basically an avatar that wants to be the avatar in a world that refuses her help. All the things she did can be interpreted as a bad thing or a good thing, but atleast she did make massive changes to the world and the other nations unlike Szeto who kinda just sit around in the fire nation instead of partaking in other nation's affairs.
She isn't, she literally fixed what Wan started and saved the Reuplic city multiple times. Losing her bending for less than 24 hours isn't even worth mentioning, and her losing fights doesn't mean much of she literally gets the W in the end. Her losing connections to past lives sucks, but really that's fine. The next avatar will have Korra to lean on and learn from her experiences.Aang talked to only 4 avatars and mostly learned common sense stuff.
I would rather say, Aang was the best Avatar, youngest air bending master, so matured to understand at the age of 12 that killing is not the solution. Compared to him, every Avatar seems low…😊
I personally thinkbit wasn't her fault when she lost her connection with the past avatar, and if you look at it, the avatar place with the statues only had Aangs spot left, someone did a video where he thinks every ten thousand years the avatar cycle resets somehow and starts a new path,
she stepped in to world affairs long before she was mature enough to handle them not to mention she didn't even start airbending until after her fight with noahtok so she was immature and underprepared to be the avatar i actually feel sorry for her as she didn't get to grow up before dealing with world problems aang on the other hand was far more mature for most of the series
I would say it was avatar wan, he couldn’t bring peace between humanity, which he admitted to when he spoke to raava, korra did struggle but it’s because all her enemies exploited her weaknesses and beat her, wan couldn’t stop humans from hunting down lion turtles and he closed the portals, making the avatars have a line after line after line of being the bridge and weight and problems put on their shoulders too much
She's not bad she's just not as insane as Aang. With beating the basically strongest bender alive at age 11. Aang was a beast, korra is human and got unlucky alot.
@celtic143 yeah they could from what we've seen she's the weakest avatar and non that she's lost the past lives, it's confirmed she may not need their advice but she needs their experience
@@animeuploader4992 shes def not the weakest avatar she is arguably 1 or 2, plus shes in the a new time period, same situation with aang they couldn’t provide no avatar due to them not whats new, even without the past avatar s experience she still managed to compete major feats that most avatars haven’t done
Calling them "average to expert benders" is pretty biased. If anything, Aang had it way easier than her. That's just a fact. There were way more benders in legend of Korra than the last Airbender. Even metal and lava benders. Zaheer would've mopped Aang with airbending alone.
Zaheer was losing to Tenzin, and Aang is way better than Tenzin. Tenzin managed to fight Zaheer's crew alone. Aang would be an overkill. Her villains are weaker except the Dark Avatar
Nothing was really HER FAULT. We also have to hold into account that she was literally kept away from the world for her whole childhood/teenage years. She didn’t even know that things had to be PAID FOR before the first episode of the series.
Everyone always says korra is a worse avatar than aang because she loses all her fights, while i do think she is a worse avatar you have to remember aang never really wins he just runs away and sometimes comes back
Well my problem with Korra is that she is so poorly written character witch annoying personality that I just wasn't able to watch show with her as main character anymore.
Correct it’s known that they were supposed to only have 1 season of korra and Nickelodeon forced them to produce more which is why character development after season 1 disappeared and writing took a nose dive
I not trying to be rude but she’s like a mid avatar because she lost like 90% of her eyes but she did bring the spirits with humans so she’s definitely
I think it's weird that it took her so long and so much to learn airbending when she pretty much emerged being able to bend the other elements. Even if Avatars struggle with the element the avatar before them had, she began training from a very young age, and she had to lose the use of every other element to be able to air bend. Why was she so unbalanced. Was that ever answered?
I believe she was a average avatar like she made mistakes but also made great change and probably was one of the most pure hearted avatars but she is far from the worst as I’m sure there was some avatar in the previous 10000 years who did absolutely nothing
I’d say she’s a struggling avatar. I mean the world felt safe and didn’t need the avatar until season 4. After all, if Kuvira won, it would’ve been the Hundred Year War all over again.

She had A LOT of rough moments but she helped restore the air nation and ended Amons equalist organization. She brought balance to the world
If I'm gonna be honest, all of this were also the White Lotus' fault, I mean, in ATLA-they were great, but they absolutely sucked in TLoK. Every Avatar had their flaws.
Let's not forget Aang literally fled his home, which caused his entire nation to be wiped and the rest of the world in fear Fire nation's control for 100 years
That is very true and at the end of the day korra did bring balance to the world in the grand scheme of things
Aang would have died if he stayed, him leaving was a lucky.
He was 12 the other avatar were 16 when the were told another thing they had years to learn anng had to do it within a few months and was still a better avatar then her and for everyone saying your being Sexist I am not
@@meighanwalcott1921
It's not about being Sexist it's about the Avatars duty.
Hate aside i love Aang
Korra had so many strong Enemys and so complex problems throughout the 4 Seasons. She was trained almost her entire life to be the Avatar and once she could actually fulfill her duty sherealiced that she wasn't prepared at all. She was manipulated so many times (well actually only 2 Times if i think about it) but still every time she solved 1 Problem she found herself in another dead end.

The next avatar after realizing Korra is the only avatar they can talk to: *"Man."*
I am truly hoping the next avatar series is just as a masterpiece as ATLA

That would be so cool
If you really think about it, Aang took 4 seasons to defeat the fire lord. Korra only had 1 season to defeat her enemies 🤷♂️

Aligning the world with spirits caused a LOT of destruction though

It's like Star Trek Captains. They are each people of them time and circumstances. You could drop one into the other's situation and come out with a completely different opinion.
This is actually a great comparison I think your the first I have ever heard use Star Trek
She did the bare minimum of being the avatar, so she’s still the worse.
She a great perspective of a real avatar being human she not be the strongest but she is a human after all like all of us
I think though it was a good move on the writers to remove her bending because she was already a really good bender by the time she was found to be the new avatar
I can't say that she is a good avatar, but also I can't say that she is so bad. She did her job normally, not perfect, just normal.
She was the worst avatar imo, but the most realistic avatar. Which makes me like her a bit more

Also since the harmonic convergence is every 10,000 years it is safe to assume that the Avatar cycle will reset itself to the beginning regardless of who the Avatar was.

ATTAB was so good and korra came along to butcher the lore and world building.
BUT
the traumatizing experience and the months of sitting in the wheelchair made her vulnerable and more like a normal human.

She's basically an avatar that wants to be the avatar in a world that refuses her help. She lost to a person with no bending while using water bending💀😭🙏
I'd say not the worst in general, but definitely the worst at fighting
She isn't, she literally fixed what Wan started and saved the Reuplic city multiple times.
Losing her bending for less than 24 hours isn't even worth mentioning, and her losing fights doesn't mean much of she literally gets the W in the end.
Her losing connections to past lives sucks, but really that's fine. The next avatar will have Korra to lean on and learn from her experiences.Aang talked to only 4 avatars and mostly learned common sense stuff.
I can't blame Korra for losing to Amon. He is literally strongest non avatar, spirit character in the whole franchise
She also got with the worst member in the group
I’d say if I was kuvira I would want another avatar too😅
I would rather say, Aang was the best Avatar, youngest air bending master, so matured to understand at the age of 12 that killing is not the solution.
You can’t blame korra for losing 3 of her bending. Her losing connection to her past lifes makes her the worst avatar off all time.
I would say it was avatar wan, he couldn’t bring peace between humanity, which he admitted to when he spoke to raava, korra did struggle but it’s because all her enemies exploited her weaknesses and beat her, wan couldn’t stop humans from hunting down lion turtles and he closed the portals, making the avatars have a line after line after line of being the bridge and weight and problems put on their shoulders too much
"Is Korra the worst avatar?"
YES
She was the only realistic avatar because If any of us were the avatar we would be screwed
She's not bad she's just not as insane as Aang. With beating the basically strongest bender alive at age 11. Aang was a beast, korra is human and got unlucky alot.
Bro most avatars could’ve done those last 2 feats of hers, the world didn’t even need her, balance would’ve been restored

Aang who trained Tenzin, Tenzin cooked Zaheer
Nothing was really HER FAULT. We also have to hold into account that she was literally kept away from the world for her whole childhood/teenage years. She didn’t even know that things had to be PAID FOR before the first episode of the series.
Korra had more enemies then all avatars
Aang only had zuko, azula , ozai, and a few episodic characters
No need for the full 50 seconds, the answer is Yes. You're welcome
Lmao 🤣
She definitely isn’t the best but she is strong 💪 she did need a lot of help 😅 I’d say it’s a 50/50 😮
As a Korra hater, she’s not a bad avatar lol, she did what she needed to do, but at the cost made her an unenjoyable character for me
Everyone always says korra is a worse avatar than aang because she loses all her fights, while i do think she is a worse avatar you have to remember aang never really wins he just runs away and sometimes comes back
I want to say that against the dark avatar jenora had to help her
Oh yeah thats fact without jinora lol Korra would have died so many times haha
No she is not the worst id say that's avatar szeto bc he just focused on his own nation and left everywhere else to fall to shit
I wouldn't say she's the BEST, but she's not the WORST either...
