I didn't talk about this, but Modern Honda is objectively better than Classic Honda, I've just gotten used to Classic long before I realized how much stronger Modern was. Modern Honda gains whiff punish lvl 1, the ease of always converting ch stmp into lvl 1, braindead lvl 2 reaction, better reactionary defense and much more convenient option selects, braindead easy EX headbutt reaction, the ability to buffer stmp into headbutt without even losing back charge, and Modern is the only way that his max damage 6.1s become realistically executable, but still hard. Also, I didn't have this in the footsies section, but you can buffer stand jab or crouch jab into medium hands and it will hit clean from most ranges on counterhit. If you're close enough and the opponent is crouching, it can be a good buffer to use sumo spirit, but you have to be knowledgable about the range it works from.

Hello, first thank you for the guide it seems incredibly detailed which has been hard to find among street fighter guides. I was just wondering how applicable the guide is for people who are playing on modern? Might be a dumb question but its my first fighting game and I went modern first and Im only in the like low plat range. Realized I need to learn a ton and was looking for a guide and found yours. I realize modern is missing some tools but assuming I do a bit of translation regarding inputs would most of what you cover here apply?
90% of it applies to Modern. Honda loses almost nothing important in Modern. I was planning on making an adaptation of this video for Modern sooner or later anyways, it'll be on my channel soon.
