I'm theorizing that, like in the Corruption mod, Calli's attempts to stop Aloe, while it ended with her getting corrupted, weakened the corruption enough to the point where it "woke up" Soul Aloe, who'll proceed to inspire the regular Aloe.

This is the kind of fan corruptions we excellent quality you really did great on this.
I just realized something. Usually (as in, even with the OG Corruption mod), the corrupted characters are just sillhouettes with the pink face bits added and maybe some other pink highlights here and there. Here, on the other hand, it's a much more complete black-and-pink recolor for each corrupted character. I like it, and I can't even really describe why.

While I'm not exactly keen on the whole idea of the corruption mod, (especially when it involves hololive, I literally cannot bear to see my gals like this, especially Aloe and Coco 🥺) I still heavily appreciate the effort that goes into this. Nice job!
Oh man, if you thought Corruption was bad, you should see what the actual mod's lore is doing to Aloe. Poor kid could give Benjamin a run for his money in terms of mental scars.
@@trocytev8783 Oh, the HoloFunk lore? Isn't it based off of her IRL situation of her getting doxxed by Chinese Antis and even by her own family? It's honestly quite saddening as to what happened to her and it really hurt the image of Hololive.
...And Kiryu Coco just so happened to suffer the same fate without the whole doxxing part, fortunately. But it's still a shame.
@@TheOnlyUmbrilla No, it isn't, aside from her leaving. Everything else is an original story made up for the mod; the Dearests, goth kids, yakuza, and complicated relations that only exist in the mod are involved. Play 5.0 and you'll see what I mean. There's some more details scattered on Twitter and Discord as well.
Also, all accounts of Aloe's IRL fate I've seen do not involve China, only a mishap with a debug stream and Japan's own brand of cancel culture, but that's a different discussion.
@@trocytev8783 yeah the speculation I hear back then was it was revenge for westerners defending Towa’s accidental male-in-the-background reveal, or it was nijifan related sabotage, but yeah the Chinese were not involved yet (the Taiwan incident was muuuch later)

i'd like to think that the heart amulet is the source of the corruption
I think that can be a really cool theory. Like, Nenechi got it from DD's house AFTER the original cover of Deathmatch took place, and Corrupted Girlfriend came to set up a trap by spreading the corruption to some parts of the mansion in case her dad wasn't corrupted after the battle. But Nenechi mistakenly took the necklace, which Aloe then wore, and both of them got corrupted. For the others, well, you know the drill.

Everything is absolutely splendid and i watched it multiple times already but i would also like to suggest 2 adjustments with a little constructive criticism
1) the stage. Regular week1 stage doesn't really fit the mood for the song. Im not saying to add the corrupted crowd in the background like in the OG deathmatch but you get my point hopefully
2) vocals. some characters like Calli don't fit that much. her voice is very beepy for example
